- Denise (10/5): Pleasant , cozy, historic with good food and clean sheets. - It is a 200 year old property with exceptional charm. Leaving the history but keeping it clean and functional for pilgrims. I liked it all. Pilgrim meal was delicious, location terrific and it was so quiet to sleep
Gentlemen that helped us just bought it 2 months ago and he made sure everyone’s needs were met.

We were made to feel very welcome especially from the young man who served us our breakfast. He told us the history and we especially enjoyed our treat of the local biscuit Enjoyed it all
- Andrea Sternagel (10/5): - Manu was a great Host. The Hotel is in a small Village in Spain, the Bldg. Is about 200 years old. It's a beautiful old Bldg. Right on the Camino. They also serve dinner and have a bar. We enjoyed our stay. This is our second stay in the Hotel.

- Randy (8/5): Serviced all my needs - Nice place to relax after a day on the Camino. Full restaurant. Room was adequate, w/ private bath. Outlet next to bed didn’t work. The person who checked me in was pleasant but not friendly.

- Perez (7/5): This was the best place in town. That is if you want a private restroom. - I liked that I had a bed to sleep and a private bathroom. There were people arriving from a 12 miles walk or more and they were no rooms. The staff were nice to us. We were also grateful we had dinner there. It was the only place open. The towels and covers were old. I am allergic to smoke from smoking. There is a restaurant downstairs and the smoke came into my room and my eyes were burning. I was grateful the restaurant closed by 10:00 pm.
- Martin S (9/5): Loved its quirkiness…an overall pleasant surprise. - The rooms were historically charming. The staff was friendly and Manuel in particular took the time to suggest additional sites in Burgos. The food was good. The grounds need a little tending to.
- David (9/5): -
- Zielke-Bodek (7/5): Nice place with good food - Vivi prepared me a delicious salad. Having the restaurant on site is very nice. No breakfast or coffee in the morning; cost was a bit high
- Hubert (8/5): -

- Charles (8/5): - Rustic, on the Camino trail, comfortable, warm, attached bar restaurant Nothing

- Mieke (7/5): - Heerlijk rustige locatie, vriendelijk ontvangst.
- Douglas (10/5): - Loved the old world Hotel .
The doors are so antique and the latches are so old and work great.

- Pedro (9/5): - La ubicación
- Javier (2/5): -
- Mairead (8/5): -
- Meaker (5/5): With a town of few options this was just ok. - The cafe was lovely. The staff were gruff and unhelpful. However, it may have been a language barrier issue.
- Lars Arne (8/5): - Great small familiar hotel. Onw could hear everything through the walls. Dont expect to sleep long in the morning.
- Juan (6/5): -
- Don (10/5): Staff was awesome, very helpful, suggested a great restaurant, E’toile!! - Clean and great location A little noisy at times

- Mugica (9/5): -
- Timothy (1/5): - This hotel is not open.
- Leslie (3/5): Don’t stay here. - Rustic We reserved and paid for three room but got two. They did not have our booking.com reservation. There was no attempt to reconcile. The people lodging there who had breakfast and dinner included were sorely disappointed. There was something wrong going on at this place.
- Dan (10/5): -
- Alfred (5/5): - Location was good. Quaint. Room needed at least a fan. Cigarette smoke came in from the bar and from the outside through the window. No clothes washing area.
- Rejane (1/5): Try to avoid this place if you are doing the Camino, your risk is high to get there and there is no room for you. I made - I never stayed . I am reservation 3 months prior and when I got there they said they were full. A complete nightmare. There was no other place around. Only thing the guy said that he was complete. I had to walk 3 km away from the Camino ( after walk a good 30 km )to find a room and go back another km in the morning back to the Camino Never stayed there. I made reservations 3 months before. When I got there they said they were full. Try to avoid this town if you are doing the Camino.
- Anthony Hinds (8/5): Perfectly comfortable, good dinner -
- Jozo (9/5): -
- Stuart (1/5): Avoid it at all costs - Nothing —this property should be deleted from booking.com Absolutely everything- it’s a disgrace
- Lyndall (6/5): - There's not a lot available in this vicinity along the Camino, so I was grateful to have a room with private bathroom. Relatively clean. It's a quirky town and I was glad to have stayed there.
- Nigel (10/5): -
- Scott (6/5): - Lots of cigarette smoke through out the whole building.
- Richard (6/5): - Great location right off the Camino in a small town. Rustic but old world charm. Small bar where I got a very cold beet upon arrival - tasted great!!! Breakfast laid out in the morning so you could grab and go which was convenient. Location made for a shorter hike to Burgos the next day. Would recommend confirming reservations in advance as seemed to be an issue with some other travelers but it all got sorted.
- Robert (1/5): - The entire place was filthy. No staff present in the morning. No food. No toilet paper. This place was great 2 years ago. I would avoid this property.
- Cindy (3/5): Would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone else - I stayed at this property a couple of years ago and loved it as the owners were wonderful. However, ownership must have changed as there is not much to recommend this property now I did not find the property clean or in order - no pillow cases, threadbare towels. The evening meal was to be served at 7:30, at 7:00 pm the owner hadn’t even purchased groceries. The meal was served after 9:30 pm. For a pilgrim who needs to get up early each morning to walk, that timing was ridiculous
- Sally (4/5): Never again! - It was IN Atapuerca! The smell of the host’s smoking for overpowering.
The host did not see my two reservations for two separate rooms. Since I arrived first in the day, I offered my name and showed him my Bookings reservations and confirmations. He said he no reservations for me! He ran upstairs with cleaning materials, came back down and had two rooms for us. We really only needed one room with twin beds, so I was able to go to Bookings and cancel the other room without penalty.
The host did not ask for passport info from us like every other accommodation had for the last 14 nights! Seems he isn’t reporting what the Spanish government has requested, and he isn’t computer savvy with the Bookings process. There were three other pilgrims who had confirmed Bookings reservations that ended up without a bed to sleep in. One poor guy arrived late (6pm), there was no other availability in town, and he had to walk another hour to get to a new accommodation miles away by foot!
Personally, I would never go there again. He never told us about a dinner…not that I would have eaten there. Dingy dining room with TV on non stop!
He left a note on the door saying he’d be back
In ten minutes. Though he didn’t include the time he left! And it was well beyond ten minutes.
Folks wanted to buy beverages, but he wasn’t there. They apparently got what they wanted and left a note saying what they took. Does he not understand he is the HOST?
- Evan (7/5): Great location on the Camino, but not that comfortable. - The location is great, a rare place to stay on that part of the Camino. The breakfast was the worst I've had in Spain, with lukewarm coffee and stale bread from the night before. The beds weren’t that comfortable.
- Janine (7/5): -
- Fink (5/5): -
- Giuseppe (5/5): -
- Thanh Hao (9/5): - The kindness of the owner.
- Frank (5/5): -
- Adamiec (9/5): -
- Caris (5/5): Convenient location for pilgrims - It was right on “The Way” of the Camino Shower didn’t drain, generally looks every bit of its age, wear and tear.
- Alex (4/5): - Guy pleasant felt he was trying hard to do everything by himself.
Made an effort with reasonable evening meal which was good value too . Bit of camaraderie with other walkers.
Location ok but do think if you can stop in a village before or after it would be better. Never smelled cigarette smoke in a property like it. Opened bathroom and bedroom window in my room to try to clear it but kept waking up because of the intense small. It is ingrained in everything.
Breakfast at €8 very poor. Coffee cold and dry bread.
