- Judy (8/5): Overall good stay. - Location good, very near the sea. Cabin good size. Pilllows too soft and the mattress also.
- Scott (10/5): Very good - Nice Nothing
- John (8/5): Great place for a weekend away. - location was fabulous, 2 minute walk to the beach , bit further to the shops but a good easy walk if you wanted to leave the car behind. A bonus for me was plastic cups for the G babies . Bed was a bit firm but not uncomfortable . Needed a lighter to light the stove top, lucky the grill had an igniter so I could burn paper to light the stove.

- CPageault (8/5): Nice place to stay - Good location, close to the town and the coast. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I had an enjoyable time.

The heating system didn’t really heat the room up and was very noisey. Taps in the kitchen dripped and pressure was very high, so every time we turned the tap on water went everywhere.
- cc801e4214bf711dd94f0150a3b8ca82 (10/5): - We had a really pleasant experience staying here. The place was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which made it feel comfortable right from the start. One of the biggest advantages is the convenient location, there’s a nearby bus stop just a short walk away.
The amenities were complete and thoughtfully provided. Everything I needed was available, from basic essentials to a few extra touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. The facilities were in great condition and clearly well cared for.
Overall, it’s a great choice for anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and fully equipped place to stay. I would definitely consider coming back again.

- Wallflower61 (6/5): Basic accommodation with bunk beds. Ok if you’re a kid, not so good for adults. - Handy location for our event. Needing a passcode per car ensured only guests could access the site. Close to beach, though no beach views.
Manager/owner Scott was very understanding when concerns were raised. He has big plans for the future of this holiday park.. Upgrades to facilities are in progress. Outdated cabin. No allocated parking beside the cabin, needed a torch when returning late at night. As a female traveller, it was daunting. Some basic kitchen items not supplied, ie a chopping board.. was expecting single beds in second room, but it was bunks. Difficult when it’s middle aged women renting the cabin
- Catherine (5/5): Brief overnight stay with friend -

And there’s barley any Telstra service and Optus was only marginally better

- Jemma (8/5): Lovely quiet family 2 night stay. - We really enjoyed our stay, for a little 2 night getaway. We booked with friends and enjoyed the closeness/waking distance to the bay. Was told the games room was getting improvements soon which will be great, but we tried to use coins for the games but the machine just took our money. Would be a great area for kids if improvements were made. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay!
- Dion (8/5): -
- Mark (7/5): - Close to the beach
Friendly staff
Clean comfortable unit Property looked run down
- Regit1950 (10/5): -
- Corinne (6/5): Nice and clean and cheap for a couple of nights - Cheap price and good location No balcony to sit outside
Not comfortable enough for more than a couple of nights
- Annette (10/5): Excellent place to stay - Was very clean There was nothing that I didn’t like
- linda (8/5): -
- Katrina (5/5): - The cabin size was good. The floor was wet in the cabin, a noisy fan in the bedroom. Dirty tissue left on the floor. No milk provided. The games room is very dirty and half the games don't work. They would be better off closing it.
- DME (8/5): -
- Mahendra (7/5): - Location The park itself was fine, but the presence of a very old scrap caravan unit beside our site made the area look untidy, almost like a junkyard. Improving this would significantly enhance the guest experience.
- Jennifer (7/5): Didn’t get my ocean view room what I payed for - Had a good sleep I didn’t get the ocean view cabin I payed for somebody else was in it I got a standard cabin near entrance fumes from cars waiting gates open old noisy aircon big hole fly screen
- Mark (9/5): -
- Brendan (5/5): - Great location Most of the park looks really run down and some of the cabins looked like they should be condemned and pulled down. I wouldn't stay here if you are working...they won't issue you with a tax invoice if you book through booking.com and cabin had no wifi access.
- Toni Neceski (10/5): -
- Rhonda (8/5): - L
- Rikki (3/5): -

- Cheryl (8/5): Dylene Holiday Park - pretty good - If youre looking for 5 star accommodation, then this is not the place for you. Dylene Holiday Park is an affordable entry point into Portarlington for people to access what the region has to offer. The beach over the road is quite rocky, but easy to navigate with aqua shoes to get out into nice sandy areas in the water.
Dylene looks like its upgrading. There are some cabins that look run down and/or derelict. However this did not impact our stay. Our cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The toilet blocks were also clean.
It is a solid 20 minute walk at a quick pace into Portalington along the water, but a very enjoyable walk. We utilised the track and rode to St Leonards everyday, which is about 20km round trip. We didn't use the facilities on offer at Dylene as we were busy doing our own thing - riding bikes, walking, stand up paddleboarding, jetty jumping, swimming etc.
The pool looked great, we didnt use it though.
Also, there's no WiFi, which was annoying for the teen who hadn't updated his phone - def his problem and didnt bother me!
There is a bus stop out the front that the teens used a few times during our stay. Theres not much around Dylene, no shops, takeaways etc, have to walk or jump in the car.
The beach over the road is rocky, make sure you have aqua shoes. There are some great sandy spots in the water though.
- Enio (10/5): -
- Vince (5/5): It was ok but don’t expect too much - The location was good. The cabins are old and even the gas stove. The shower is leaking. One light is broken.
- Cheryl (8/5): -
- Henry (10/5): I would recommend your park to family and friends. - I found the facilities were great they met all my expectations. The weather it spoils a very beautiful part of this area.
- Kelly (4/5): Disappointed that it was not the can I thought it was, all the taps were horrible and the ants were relentless - Good area Ants all through the kitchen, constantly cleaning them off surfaces. Taps were all horrible, shower never stopped dripping, the noise at night so annoying.
- Jessica (6/5): -
- William (4/5): -
- Sarah (5/5): - I liked the fact that it was super close to the beach, staff at reception was very friendly, the kids playground on site was a hit with the kids. The bed was comfortable for us 2 adults (not so sure about the kids though) I could tell that the cabin had had a general clean (clean fresh bed sheets and that benches had been wiped) but the gutters on the cabin were full of leaves and sticks, there was spiderwebs on some of the flyscreens, the fan on the ceiling was dusty as (I didn't want to use it) the decking outside I nearly went through as a few boards were cracked). There information/safety sheet on the wall stated that children under 9 shouldn't sleep on the top bunk and yet the cabin we had, had 2 bunk beds for our 4 kids that are 6yrs old and under (so two had to sleep on a mattress on the floor, I had given ages of our children when I booked). Also only had 4 chairs around a small table for a family of 6 to sit at. The cabin felt small when compared to pictures when booking.
- elliott (8/5): -
- Gavin parks (7/5): Except able - The fight between people behind our cabin that caused distress throughout my family
- Sally (10/5): Was in a great location - Convenient for what we needed Nothing
- Daniel Cassells (10/5): -
- Mokofisi (10/5): Great place! They Accomodate families! - We are a family of 5 with teenagers and we all enjoyed being at the holiday park. Everything was great! Our cabin was really clean and tidy. Love that it’s only metres away from the sea. Close to shops etc. Great short stay. Value for money! Thank you.😊
- Maina (10/5): The staff were very helpful. Wonderful neighbourhood. Very relaxing -
- Karren (5/5): - Great location and friendly staff The cabin was vert dirty and needed a lot of maintainance.
- wayne (10/5): -
- Delicia Nazarena (1/5): This stay did not meet our expectations and we would not recommend this place. - I liked the location, very close to the sea. We arrived after the regular check-in time, and when we reached our cabin, it was already being used by another person. We had to call reception so they could remove the person and clean the cabin. As a result, our check-in was completed around 11:00 pm. The staff said this situation could happen, which is unacceptable, as guests should not lose access to accommodation they have already paid for.
The cabin we were given was not the one shown in the photos. We booked a cabin for three adults, but the assigned cabin was clearly designed for two adults and children. The bunk beds had very thin mattresses, not suitable for an adult, so my mother-in-law had to sleep on the sofa.
When we complained, we were told that the photos on Booking are “not a reference”. This explanation is not reasonable, as guests choose and pay based on the photos and description provided.
Only after insisting were we moved on the last night to a cabin similar to the one shown in the photos. Overall, this stay did not meet expectations and caused unnecessary stress.
- Cheryl (9/5): -
- Chantal (6/5): Meh. - Close to the beach. The house was quite different to what was in the pictures. Unfortunately cleanliness was a factor and was disappointing. The bathroom seals around shower needed a good bleach and the fridge was dirty! Rather yuck. Overall ok. Dated. Staff were friendly.
- Watson (8/5): -
- Susan (5/5): - The cabin was clean and well provided, and the location was near the ocean. The park had large areas that were derelict or being dismantled and overall was run down and seedy. Both gas bottles were empty and management had to change them late at night.
- Wayne (8/5): -
- benjamin (8/5): -
- Cara (8/5): The lovely cabin like a diamond in the rough - Great to get upgraded to a spa cabin. Liked having 2 TV's so I could listen to the radio in bed. Enjoyed my swim in the pool. My cabin was spotless and smelt lovely. Bed comfortable and reception service was exceptional. Right by the bus stop and good value especially with the spa bathroom. Sadly no Wi-Fi and I don't have a phone. So needed to walk back 20 mins into the town. The park is a bit rough around the edges, but I found this quite amusing. Bit like going back to the last century....
- Geoff (9/5): Excellent choice. - Relatively modern cabin set up. Spacious and clean. Good couch and dining area. Very quiet. Good sized balcony. Fully self contained. Very reasonably priced - Black Friday special. Road within the park in need of attention. Many potholes. Small toilet and shower area.
- Graeme (7/5): Great for the price. - The cost drew me to the property. We were only staying overnight and weren't spending too much time at the property so cost was my main focus. It looks like the park is doing some updating to some sites, which will greatly enhance the appeal. There are two newer cabins already onsite and these look very nice. The location is fantastic, just a short walk across the road to the water. Our cabin was a bit old so ammenities were a bit lacking. the floor in the bathroom needs attention and the lower bunk really shouldn't be slept in as it's on the floor. Our bed was comfortable enough, but the couch, which I presume is a pull out bed was rock hard. Minor in the scheme of things but I wouldn't want to be stuck inside on a bad weather day. We didn't use any of the provided equipment, but there was everything you'd need for a holiday.
- Georgia (10/5): -
- Rowland (5/5): would not stay again. - the shower was way to small and no hand held shower. the toilet room was also very tiny, had to press up against the wall to close the door.
- Doreen (7/5): It served its purpose - Our cabin was good.
Very quiet park considering all the permanent residence. All were friendly too. The pillows were not good. They were too, too soft and flat.
- Terrence (7/5): A&T - The bed was comfortable and clean. The kitchen amenities were good too. The park is going through renovations which is a good sign. The bathroom was shabby. Floor looked mouldy and dirty. Okay for one night.
- Ben (10/5): - Great location and family cabin
- Jenni Frendo (10/5): -
- STEVEN (9/5): -
- Deon (5/5): Adequate for what we needed - The handling of our booking and organizing a late check-in was done very well and was much appreciated. The whole park is looking very tired and run down. There's a few broken bits with our accommodation which needs maintenance. The room was very small and pokey.
- Sa-ngob (8/5): -
- Alan (10/5): -
- Patricia (6/5): - It was close by tothe event I was at in Portarlington. The cabin was clean but it was a little disappointing as did not look like the photos I had seen on the website. It was very small and tired. The bathroom needs some upgrading. Some of the kitchen items were chipped.
Some friends stayed in another cabin which we visited and it was in a much better condition.
- Christine (9/5): Quiet couples getaway, very relaxing. - Quiet and pleasant location. Problems with tv remotes not working
