Bequemes Bett, Kühlschrank, relativ großes Bad, unkomplizierter Check-in ohne Personal Keine Kochmöglichkeit, aber auch kein Lokal in unmittelbarer Nähe. Relativ nahe an einer Durchzugsstraße, was der Ruhe etwas abträglich ist.

Jayne (10/5): All motels should be like this! - This motel was fantastic. We were only there for 1 night and didn't arrive until the evening, but it was a great place to rest our head. It felt modern, quirky and clean, the amenities were great. Loved the addition of a balcony with fabulous views of the water, as well as the cute swing. The bathroom was really lovely, and the beds comfy. Very quick response to my message when we arrived. Overall a great stay and would 100% recommend.

Carla (6/5): Clean modern room but additional facilities didn’t live up to expectations - Room was comfortable and modern. Contactless key entry was convenient . We picked this hotel mainly for the additional facilities - my husband and son were keen to fish off the jetty but this was closed off as seemingly needed repairs to make it safe. Also the hot tub was pictured having views of the sea but it’s actually located at the edge of the motel surrounded by timber fencing - not the relaxing views we were expecting. Light sleepers also be aware as the curtains in our room were white so although provided privacy, did little to keep out the sunlight.

The mattress was very comfortable and the sheets were amazing! Love the view! The hot tub location could use a little work. It would be nice to see the ocean while in the hot tub.

Egon (9/5): Schönes Motel für Kurzaufenthalt - Die neun Zimmer sind alle neu renoviert. Es sind übliche Motelzimmer mit guten Betten und guten Schallschutz zum Nachbarn. Die Lage ist OK mit schöner Aussicht auf´s Meer. Was man wissen muss und uns durchaus bewusst war: Es gibt kein Frühstück und der Zugang ist kontaktlos (deshalb keine Bewertung für´s Personal). Zimmernummer und Türcode werden über die Seite von booking übermittelt. Wenn sie das erst vor Ort abfragen, brauchen sie einen Netzzugang. Bei der Abreise war der (vermutlich) Besitzer an der Rezeption. Ein freundliches "Auf Wiedersehn" und "Gute Reise" haben wird dann doch noch bekommen. 😊 Die Gegend ist noch nicht so touristisch erschlossen wie andere Hotspots in Nova Scotia. Als eher ruhig mit viel Natur. Infrastruktur für Touristen ist in unmittelbarer Umbegbung nicht vorhanden. Es wird kein Frühstück angeboten. Im Marmalade Cafe in ca. 12 Minuten Fahrdistanz, das mit dem Motel verbunden scheint, gibts ein hervorragendes Frühstück. Auch fürs nächste Restaurant ist mit ca 12-15 Miuten Fahrzeit zu rechnen. Wenn´s nur irgenwo auf dem weitläufigen Gelände ein Plätzchen für Raucher gäbe, wäre das vielleicht ganz nett. So liegen die Zigarettenstummel eben vor der Tür im Kies. (Anm: ich bin Nichtraucher).

Guest (10/5): From the outside you may not expect things to live up to the website, but it does - what a view! - The Marmalade has really done a lot to make, what could be a humble motel, a special stay. The hot tub was great, views from the balcony wonderful, the overall atmosphere was peaceful. We loved the decor of the No Drama Llama! Guests should know there is nothing within walking distance in terms of food. The Marmalade Cafe is actually in Sheet Harbour which is a 10 - 15 minute drive. if you don't want to go back out for dinner and drive into the next town, it's a good idea to bring something to enjoy on the balcony. There is a fridge and amenities so making a casual dinner or grabbing take in gives you more time to enjoy the view.

The room has all you could need, with fridge, coffee machine, tea bags, and is well sized. The bed is nice though quite squeaky. For exploring the east coast of Nova Scotia it's a great spot. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed sitting outside and walking the property to the water. We enjoyed dinner at a nearby restaurant and the locals were friendly and spoke well of the hotel owners. We never met them, but commend them on a beautifully ran business. We’d definitely stay again whenever in the area!

Marco (9/5): Das Marmelade Motel ist ein ganz besonderer Ort - Das Marmelade Motel ist ein ganz besonderer Ort – mit so viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und einer Atmosphäre, die sofort zum Wohlfühlen einlädt. Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist traumhaft schön, perfekt zum Entspannen und Abschalten. Die Zimmer sind individuell, stilvoll und mit viel Charme eingerichtet – man merkt einfach, dass hier Herzblut drinsteckt. Das Gastgeberteam ist unglaublich herzlich, hilfsbereit und engagiert – man fühlt sich eher wie bei Freunden als in einem Hotel. Ich kann das Marmelade Motel absolut weiterempfehlen – wer Ruhe, Natur und liebevolle Gastfreundschaft sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Wenke (9/5): Nettes Motel - Für ein Motel ist es ansprechend und gepflegt. Die Einrichtung wirkt nett und nicht veraltet. Zimmergröße ein Ordnung. Zugang über Smartlock und Code sehr einfach. Schöner Blick auf den See. Außensitzplätze vorhanden. Kühlschrank ließ sich nicht einstellen, dadurch nervige Geräusche. Balkon könnte Anstrich gebrauchen. Fands trotzdem teuer für die Art der Unterkunft, da sonst auch nichts geboten ist.

The rooms are very clean and eloquently decorated, the waterfront views and sunset are spectacular, and the bed is cozy and warm. The best rest I have had in a week. Highly recommended!

Carol (10/5): - The theme rooms were so much fun! We stayed in Room 7 "No Drama Llhama" and had "no prob llhamas"! That we only stayed one night! We are definitely coming back and have already recommended to family and friends.
Renaud (7/5): the hotel was ok for my short visit ti the area. The view was breath taking. - had problems receiving passcode for the door and no cell service to caall for help. Ended up going into Sheet harbour to their restaurant. They called the owner for the code.
Bärbel (9/5): Absolut cooles Hotel direkt am Wasser, ca 1,5 Stunden von Halifax Airport entfernt. - tolle Lage, sehr modern und komfortabel eingerichtet. Nette Geste-Willkommensset mit Süßigkeiten und Wasser auf dem Zimmer. Bestes Hotel auf unserer Route durch Atlantic Canada!
