• Samuel (10/5): Un endroit inoubliable - L'endroit en lui même est d'un calme incroyable. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment exceptionnel et attentionné (produits frais, locaux et cuisinés sur place). La chambre était très spacieuse, silencieuse, propre et confortable. En plus il y a des animaux un peu partout ! On s'y sent comme chez soi et notamment grâce a l'accueil très convivial. • DorianWood (6/5): Promised much but delivered little. - The hotel and surroundings are super. A beautiful renovated mill with very lovely gardens- all planted in white to stunning effect. The "Wanna be" Michelin star type meal was interesting, stylishly presented and delicious, and despite being lots of little dishes, satisfying.. The room was newly decorated and with a double aspect to the gardens very nice indeed. The swimming pool was a welcome bonus .A fire lit in the salon was a cheerful end to the day. Despite agreeing to a time of arrival, there was no-one about and reception empty. I wandered the hotel and finally found someone in the kitchen who helped me to the room. This member of staff a young girl spoke politely and offered to help with my limited luggage. Aperatifs were accompanied by popcorn !!The menu was exceedingly limited only 75euro meals available, and the content (4 courses) given briefly. The two young staff were poorly trained and small dishes arrived with little or no explantion meanwhile The intelligent lass was designated to light candles around the boundary..not a good use of staff!! The 4 courses turned out to be about seven plates which was confusing.Breakfast was laid out in a buffet with nothing labelled , a choice of prunes turned out to be "prunes in Armagnac" and yogurts " caramel and vanilla" the smoked salmon was hoovered up by folk who suddenly appeared from the annex and were on some sort of BandB basis, to be fair this was replaced later. The young italian girl needed much training to meet any standard..to shout "eux/Eggs" at a guest was not acceptable in any language and much too late to be selected.

• Roy (9/5): This is a beautiful and historic manor house with excellent staff. - The setting of this elegant hotel is idyllic with the remains of an old mill, and provides a very special dining experience. Resident pets were delightful, along with the little chickens strutting around. The swimming pool was very welcome. Given the luxurious feel of the place, it seemed strange not to have a fridge or safe in our loft accommodation.

• Corinne (10/5): Un moment hors du temps - Le lieux féerique est une invitation à la détente. La présence, la gentillesse et les différentes attentions du personnel rendent ce moment encore plus incroyable. La décoration de la chambre, la qualité de la literie, le coin cheminée pour la tisane après le dîner, le petit café dans le parc avec comme décors ce ruisseau… permettent de profiter pleinement de cette pause dans cette très belle maison. Une mention spéciale pour la cuisine qui est pleine de poésie. Le chef Sébastien Riou sublime le légume avec une subtilité et une finesse qui le met au centre du plat. Ce n’est plus le légume qui accompagne le poisson ou la viande mais l’inverse. Il en est de même avec le fruit au moment du dessert. Merci à toute l’équipe pour ce moment suspendu.

• Pia (8/5): Das Hotel hat nicht dem entsprochen, was wir erwartet hatten. (ausser der Anlage) - Dier Hotelanlage lässt keine Wünsche offen, wunderschön in einer Parkanlage gelegen. Das Zimmer ist jedoch etwas düster für einen längeren Aufenthalt nicht geeignet. Beim Essen hat man keine grosse Auswahl eher in der oberen Preiskategorie. Preis/Leistung beim Essen stimmt nicht.

• Georges (4/5): Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt in keinerlei Hinsicht! - - außerordentlich schöne Lage - toll gepflegter Außenbereich - überall perfekt sauber, sowohl im Zimmer selbst, als auch im Bad und in der Toilette - Bad modern und ganz neu eingerichtet - das gesamte Interieur des Hauses bedürfte einer kompletten Erneuerung - ziemlich verkommen das Ganze - veraltete, ungepflegte, teils stark abgenutzte Möbel im Zimmer - schlechtes Bett mit uralten, ungemütlichen Bettlaken - das Zimmer schien quasi als Abstellraum genutzt zu werden u.a. mit einem alten unbenutzbaren, teilweise rostigen Kühlschrank in der einen Ecke und einem uralten schmutzigen und natürlich funktionsunfähigen Klavier in einer anderen Ecke - für heutige Zeiten: ein absolutes no-go, nämlich, ein teilweise bis in die Toilette hineinreichende Teppichboden - im Frühstücksraum herrschte eisige Kälte und so versuchte man den Raum mit einem vergammelten, sehr schmutzigen „Baustellenbelüfter“ etwas aufzuheizen … - Frühstück total uninteressant, vor allem auch mit schlechtem Kaffee

• Katharine (8/5): We wer very happy with our stay at the Manoir. The people were wonderful. - It is a lovely spot in the countryside. Marie Josee was super and her staff was always very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed one delicious meal at the Manoir but they were not serving the other two nights we were there. There is a wonderful relaxed feeling at the Manoir and it almost feels like you are a guest in a home. We spend two nights very cosy in front of the beautiful big fireplace which is always going. Since we were in the shoulder season the local restaurants located close by were all closed and therefore it was a impossible to find dinner for the two nights the Manoir was not serving dinner without driving a distance.

• Olga (9/5): - Manoir d'Hautegaunte is simply stunning. Beautiful location, peaceful scenery and fantastic garden. Incredibly elegant establishment. Mrs. Marie is so welcoming and kind. She assisted us with a late check-in despite the short notice. Looking forward to visiting again. The fact that we could only stay for one night :(

Ein ganz besonderes „hide away“ mit Charme, Freundlichkeit und besonderer Atmosphäre. Zimmer sehr schön und stylisch, Bad auch. Chefin außerordentlich charmant und hilfsbereit. Abendessen sehr sehr köstlich! Sehr junges Personal, das leider fast kein Englisch spricht, erschwert die Kommunikation beim Abendessen leider, Fehler wurden von der Chefin des Hauses meist behoben
