Guest Reviews
- Vanessa (4/5): Won’t stay again 😞 - Location Very basic rooms, barely clean, dark and dingy feel.
- Jodie (8/5): -
- Simon (9/5): - Location Weather
- Henry (3/5): Very basic, dated and lacking basic needs ie no electric blankets - Location is great No Micrivawe , no electric blanket in the double bed but one in the single bed that we didnt use. Very dated and rundown. Parking area in front not very user friendly ie adjoining unit occupants parked their 4wd over the marked line so we had no chance driving in the park space, any way the size of their vehicle was way to close so we would not be able to get in or out of our vechicle. Adjoining occupants made lots of noise during the stay.Very basic unit and furniture
- Heather (6/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): - Iocation was perfect. Shops across the road , pub in walking distance. Room was small but it done me as I needed a ace to sleep and shower
- NICOLE (6/5): -
- Harjinder (6/5): - Loved the location Cleanliness
- mina (4/5): - Location Very old and outdated
- Rhonda (8/5): We liked it, and we'll be back to try the pub meals! - Great location with lake views and walking distance to the town shops
Very quiet, considering it was Easter
Hotel meals available , but we didn't get to try them because of family function Bed was too hard for me, but that's an individual thing
Had a smart TV , but it would not connect to the streaming apps, but I survived lol
- Williams (4/5): That’ll do me - Location was good, the meal was ok The room was very dated. Couldn’t open the sliding door to the balcony. The grounds and pool were overgrown and very neglected
- Martin (6/5): Comfortable, basic room. Good location. - Location. Staff friendly. No iron in the room and none available at the hotel.
- Baxter (8/5): -
- Travis (8/5): Comfy, clean and value for money - Location was great, walking distance to everything we needed to reach and having the hotel for entertainment was a plus. Lake view was bonus too
Price for a long weekend getaway was excellent. No pool was disappointing, didn't realise it was out of commission when first booking but we had friends staying at the caravan park so our young one enjoyed that pool instead and swam in the lake.
- Rosemary (7/5): -
- Kevin (4/5): very dated back to last century but at least we had somewhere to sleep - The Room is very tired and needs upgrading and the louvure door into bathroom toilet needs replacing so that it can be locked
- Emily (6/5): -
- Rona (8/5): I was good for what I needed except the pool - The pool.wasnt accessible I wanted to cool off in the pool but it was closed
- MsJB06 (3/5): Very Disappointing - Room was very outdated and no maintenance been done for some time. Shower was dripping which soaked the bathroom floor, it was reported but not fixed, smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling, the handle on the glass sliding door was missing and replaced with a cupboard handle with no lock other than a bolt in the floor. The view was of an overgrown garden and filthy pool that was out of use. I booked and paid for two nights but left after the first night.
- Leeanne (1/5): - Comfortable bed Very dirty and the carpet was all ripped

- Alan (7/5): -
- Jodie (10/5): - Location and friendly staff
- Jane (8/5): -
- Christian (5/5): Place was clean, parking out front was good. Disappointed with tired facilities and amenities. - Bathroom door very damaged and not sealed, also letting in lots of light at night time. Also, the little fridge was ridiculously small. And the carpet smelt like cat pee. I have a cigarette smoke sensitivity. When people were smoking out the front, by our door, the cigarette smoke filled our room via the air-conditioning.
- john (10/5): very good ;we would go back. -
- Wayne (8/5): Very comfortable. -
- Gary (7/5): -
- Brett (8/5): -
- Judith (6/5): - Location was good. Staff friendly. Shower was fantastic. Hotel food was good. The room that was booked was large and roomy with a great outlook but as my partner can't do stairs we had to leave this to other family members. (Two separate bookings were made through booking.com and confirmed but hotel only had a record of one booking and the only rooms left were older rooms as part of the hotel) Booking was messed up so didn't get room that was booked. Two separate bookings were made, but the hotel only had a record of the one. This was not necessarily the fault of the hotel. Therefore could only go into a much older and much smaller room. Room was clean other than some cobwebs in the corners. Furniture was dated but serviceable and the beds are probably due for replacing. The person who
- Melanie (5/5): Not too bad in a pinch. - Location was awesome, the restaurant was great and drinks were a good price 🙂 The place needs some TLC, such a lovely historic building in a bit of a sad state. There were not enough plates, bowls or cutlery and we really wanted to use the BBQ there but when we saw the state of it, we decided against it. The cleanliness of the room was a bit below par and we could never get the free Wifi to work. They could have offered so much more considering their location: Bait for fishing, kayaks even a small kids playground on site would have been good.
No smoking on the open balcony was an unusual thing considering they didn’t really offer ashtrays anywhere at all 🤷🏼♀️
- Dennis (8/5): - Position and the public meal was excellent
- Amanda (4/5): Didn't meet expectations - Location How run down the hotel was. Needed a really good clean and general maintenance on doors, locks, sliding doors. Air-con very noisy. Guests having to clean the pool so they could swim in it. No staff seen at any time to conduct maintenance on pool. It was a disgrace and so uninviting.
- Whish-wilson (6/5): -
- sharon (2/5): Run away - Close to the Lake Bonnie The absolutly disgusting room. The carpet was sticky a used rubber was on the floor. The mattress was uncomfortable, springs sticking in our back. The pool was dirty. Rubbish around it. All the lawn was dead. Norhing like the photos at all. I would like my money back for false advertising.
- Lauren (1/5): Book somewhere else! - Leaving. Being moved rooms, smoking smell 24/7, unclean linen & dirty rooms!
- Chloe (8/5): - Nice rooms comfortable Toilet door in room was a slat door so no real privacy when using the toilet or shower.
- Peter (8/5): -
- Jenny (7/5): -

- Catriona (7/5): Overall comfortable. Very clean room. Helpful staff. Thank you. - Clean, great shower, as described. Bed was very hard.
- George (10/5): -
- Susan (7/5): We always stay there.a comfy bed but location is best - Love the location and right at the pub for easy access to meals in such a small town is important. The sliding door and security door don’t work properly. My husband had to fix the glass door to get it back on track so we could open and close it.
- Paul (8/5): -
- Lorna (6/5): Adequate but needs upgrade - Great shower. Good bed and bedding Very tired room. Wrinkled carpet . Three corner jacks on carpet . Room is overdue for upgrade .
Curtains inoperable
- Glynis (8/5): Brilliant retro accomodation. Super clean, amazing value, and wow what a bed. - Parking next to room, great meals in hotel/pub, super friendly staff and the most comfortable bed to be found in South Australia. Shower head would not stay up.
- Peter (8/5): Good hotel/motel in a terrific position in Bamera - We did not have breakfast but our dinner was great. Nice meal and a large serve. Nothing. Happy with the food and our stay at this venue
- Patricia (5/5): - Excellent location.Didnt have breakfast. Lights on both sides of bed would be more suitable for couples who like reading.lighting was very poor in main area.Everything else was ok.
Basin needed replacing.dirty big crack in it.thank you
- Peter (7/5): acceptable stayed in a lot worse - The essentials such as clean linen, comfortable bed, hot shower were all there and good. facility is old and in need of upgrade, old carpet, bathroom dark old and dingy.
- Sonya (7/5): It served my purpose for economical outlay. - location great. Too much light in the room at night, unable to shut it out. Car parks narrow.
- Lynette (6/5): Had a roof over our heads for the night, and a bed to sleep in - Location for where we needed to be Run down
Had to search for switches for lighting
- Anderson (1/5): -
- Julie (9/5): - location, views from balcony, eating places not too far away.

- Terry (8/5): Very good - Meals are great
- Lauren (10/5): -
- Karren (9/5): Older hotel but it was quiet, clean, warm, and excellent value for money. Dinner in hotel was great too - It was clean, quiet, warm and value for money. It is an older property but it is priced appropriately
- Daphne (9/5): Superb -
- John (8/5): Good food, friendly, great location - Didn't eat breakfast Would have preferred to be ground level
- Ian (5/5): Nice place ,needs a bit off work - Centrally located You go into the room and half the lights don’t work and it’s very dark and uninviting
- Wells (7/5): Good - Convenience The followup when we contacted to say had left a pillow in room , was told they would call back when checked - nothing ,then rang next day not cleaning staff so could not leave hotel to check, so sent my sister to check and allowed access to room to look - pillow not there and there has been no further contact - was a new expensive pillow in its own pillow case, would have been easily recognised as not a hotel pillow!!
We would still appreciate follow up as we have friends there that could collect it
Thankyou
- Kay (9/5): Had a brilliant stay, was warm and comfortable, linen crispy clean. Very nice stay. We have booked i - Our only suggestion was to have a microwave oven in the room - don’t need a big one just something to heat up food. Oh yes and to have forks. By the way we donated two for the room As I said - a microwave oven in the room
- Amanda (9/5): Superb - Great central location.
Meal at pub was great.
Staff super friendly Old aircon unit a bit prehistoric and noisy but worked well.
- Tahlia (5/5): Passable - Good view was a nice to stay somewhere nice staff just need to be vacuumed There were bugs in the corner it was not vacuums or hasn’t been dusted
- Justin (7/5): Good -
- Yvonne (8/5): Very good - Ideally located and suited our needs
- James (9/5): very good stay - friendly staff and great comfort nothing
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Good - The vicinity to everything. Beds were comfortable. And restaurant just a few steps away Disappointed that there wasn't a microwave. There were 3 knives 1 soup spoon and no forks. A little skew if. Oh and the lighting wasn't adequate good have used another ceiling light in bed area
- June (8/5): comfortable, food was great in the dining room, rooms could do with a quick face lift - Easy to find, The hole in carpet, the carpet was stained,
general update wouldnt go astray.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Location No bbq tools
- Robert (6/5): Hotel and restaurant were good, bed was clean and comfortable, rest off our room needs attention - Central for our needs The motel is run down in need of repairs and needs freshening up
- Susan (8/5): overnight stay - clean and comfortable room.
Great meal. ( Sunday evening) there wasn't anything I disliked.
- Ann-marie (4/5): Bed was comfortable sheets was clean. I found the place not clean to my standard. But it was buck for the money - Swimming pool Dirty outside
- Manjinder (1/5): 1 night - I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the room. The carpet was dirty and had large stains, and there was visible dust on the tables and chairs. The bathroom was unhygienic, and there were many mosquitoes and insects present. The cupboards were also unclean, and there was an unpleasant smell throughout the room.
The beds were uncomfortable, and to make matters worse, the main door to the room wouldn’t lock properly. Some doors were even missing locks entirely. We had to place a chair against the door to feel secure, which was very unsettling.
When I called the staff for assistance, I was told that nothing could be done at night and that the issues would be addressed in the morning. I found this response unacceptable, especially considering that housekeeping staff would have noticed the faulty lock while preparing the beds. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing.
- Charlie (6/5): The room was very good for our budget and quiet. - We all had a brisk swim in the motel pool. It was cold as one would expect but we enjoyed it. Very clean and salty.
Also close to the room. The bathroom facility was very small and cramped. i think the main room was a bit dusty and had a cobweb. Not easily visible but still there.
