The space was clean, spacious, comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and lots of extras like coffee, tea. bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Thoughtful hosts provided complimentary fruit, nuts, chocolates snacks. Checkin was easy. Nice lake view from the suite. Location was perfect for our needs as were visiting our daughter, son-in-law & grandkids who lived a 15 min drive away.

• Nancy (10/5): Home Away from Home 💛 - This was a fantastic property! The space was clean, functional, comfortable, and had all the little extras that we needed. The hosts left a little basket of treats for us, the fridge had basic condiments, and the pantry had all the spices we needed to get started. The hosts were exceptionally friendly, and helpful. they gave us tips for local places to eat and hike and their recommendations were perfect! We also enjoyed the patio space - sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. The lake was a short walk down the neighborhood stairs and across the street - lovely trail to walk/run. I wouldn't change a thing!

• Carolyn (9/5): We enjoyed our stay with relative ease of access to scenic tourist attractions outside of Victoria. - It was well equipped for self-catering, which is a requirement due to my dietary issues. It was a little out of the main part of Vancouver, making other areas west (Sooke) easier to access. As well area to the north (Coowichan) and Butchart Gardens were easier to access, without having to negotiate Victoria traffic.

The yard was well taken care of, the view was beautiful, the suite was clean and we loved the intentionality they put in with their coffee and tea stock! Super easy to relax and feel at home! The hosts were proactive about potential issues and were communicative and welcoming. We had a great time and felt very comfortable and private with the lake facing suite. The only thing I was a bit concerned with was that the cleaning fee was a bit high, almost like paying for another night. However, it does look like they use it well as everything was very clean when we arrived.
• Sharon (10/5): Would absolutely recommend to even the pickiest friend. - Cleanliness. Many extra touches from olive oil and balsamic vinegar to spices in the cupboard and fruit in a basket. The only thing we missed was cable tv. We didn’t get to watch men’s curling which we were really looking forward to. But the number of very good things outweighed the one missing thing.

• Leah (9/5): Immaculately clean,beautifully decorated,everything put together with great care,very cozy and quiet - Super clean , beautiful view of the lake and everything was very well thought out .We were so happy to find the Crib board , washer/dryer in suite ,lots of pantry items, welcome treats and top quality new linens .A Tim Horten just up the street and a wonderful path along the lake . More of a suggestion….the back steps are smooth wood and when wet they could get slippery ,they could use some sort of non slip treatment .

• Sunjong (10/5): If you visit Victoria, this is certainly the best place to stay! - Just everything was beyond my expectation. Our hostess - Christine - was so kind and helpful. So spacious, quiet, and clean. I was able to find almost everything I need in the kitchen. Bed and bathroom were especially clean and comfy. In addition, the house was located near the lake, so it has a fantastic view. Compared with other facilities I stayed in Vancouver, this place was the best. I was really happy and definitely will stay here again when I have another chance to visit Victoria! Please check the photos I attached. No. I could not find anything I dislike. This place was perfect. I really appreciate the effort that the host family showed. Thank you again.
• Frederick (8/5): Excellent hosts, spotlessly clean, well laid out basement floor in a modern house, quiet. - The hosts were very welcoming, easy parking, modern well laid out and organized "daylight" basement in a two floor home, spotlessly clean, quiet neighbourhood and owners, good TV, king size bed, lots of room, easy drive into Victoria, nice view from an outside patio. Full kitchen with everything you need if you want to cook and eat meals "at home". No AC but the rooms stayed cool during our two day stay in third week of August. We would recommend staying here. The bed was a little soft for myself.

Tea, coffee, arrival treats and first nigth chocolates. Lots of scented products so if that is an issue for you be aware. Also small parking space, would be difficult for a large suv or most trucks. Neither an issue for us but warning for others.

There were also several restaurants close by. The lake view was perfect too. The blinds & curtains didn't block out as much light as we had hoped. Everything else was perfect!

It was a great location — close enough to Victoria but easy to drive west or north to explore the island. We had a wonderful stay and would come again!
• Maria (10/5): Excellent suite - highly recommended - Location was great. Superstore, Walmart, Tim Horton's and McDonald's plus lots of restaurants were all within 10 minutes' drive away. It's nice to have a designated parking spot. It was tight but totally fine with our small rental car. The place was clean and spacious. The king size bed was super comfortable. Kitchen was very well-stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Great varieties of spices, tea bags, fruits and snacks available. Having a washer and dryer with detergents was very helpful for our 5 nights' stay. Nothing beats a lake view right in the front window. Absolutely gorgeous. I requested a one-hour earlier check in, instead of the standard 4 pm check in. Got a message reiterating 4 pm check in. I was fine with that as I understood cleaning could take time. What baffled me was I got another message 5 days later, the day before we left that the early check in was approved. Very strange but this didn't affect my very positive experience in this suite.

• Jennifer (10/5): A great apartment, clean and safe to return to at the end of the day. - A really lovely apartment, very clean and beautifully furnished, very comfy bed and bedding. Well stocked for the bathroom and kitchen. Really appreciated basic supplies in the kitchen plus a basket of fresh fruit. Also lovely garden furniture. Certainly made our stay near Victoria very pleasurable and lovely place to return to at the end of the day. Best not to describe the property as “steps away from the lake” . It’s a good 15 minute walk and crossing a busy highway.. wonderful views of the lake from the property but not on its doorstep. I was a little disappointed to not be able to step out my door to do my morning walk around a lake.
