The small outside area with table and chairs was not overlooked at all. We slept very well as the room was absolutely quiet totally so I suspect it had good soundproofing.

Nous étions au RDC côté rue donc pour la demande de tranquillité on ne s attendait pas à un RDC côté rue mais ceci dit , il y avait 2 vitres double vitrage donc vraiment très bien isolée . Par contre , on entendait bcp la porte d' entrée qui n est pas retenue et du coup se ferme fort. Il y a peut être un réglage à faire pour qu elle ne claque pas systématiquement.

• Kirsty (8/5): Nice room, great location. - Beautiful bathroom. The Mexican restaurant rooftop. Bed and pillows very comfortable, you don’t often get one let alone both. Room a bit small to squeeze around the bed. No welcome or lounge area , you are very much just in your room so wouldn’t consider for a long stay.

We had an interior courtyard facing room and we appreciated how quiet it was. The hotel has a restaurant connected to it that offers a terrific breakfast (at additional cost). It’s within walking distance of a taxi drop off area and 2-3 min walk to hotel.

Good system to access building and room out of hours. Friendly staff who work in the cafe Disability Access room was ok but for some disabled people it wasn’t ideal - bed was too high and bathroom was tight for a wheelchair and had no grab handles.

• Roversi (9/5): - Alux Boutique Hotel si trova in Calle Beatas, nel centro storico di Malaga, in posizione eccellente: la strada è tranquilla e da lì si raggiungono facilmente molte delle attrazioni di Malaga. A pochi passi c'è il Museo Picasso e proseguendo si raggiunge in breve la Cattedrale. Molto vicini all'hotel sono anche: la Casa Natale di Picasso, il complesso dell'Alcazaba, il Teatro Romano e il Museo di Malaga. La spiaggia di Malagueta si raggiunge facilmente in 10/15 minuti di cammino. La stanza non era grande, ma comoda e silenziosa, dotata di doccia nuova, un letto comodo, un televisore bello grande, il bollitore con tè e caffè e un piccolo balconcino chiuso con un tavolino e due sedie. Al piano terra, di fianco all'ingresso principale, c'è un bar (El Cafecito), collegato all'hotel, con possibilità di colazioni e brunch. In ogni caso la zona offre varie possibilità per mangiare e bere: ci sono davvero tanti locali con una varietà di offerta notevole. La reception dell'hotel chiude alle 18:00: noi siamo arrivati a destinazione dopo le 20:00, in quanto l'aereo dall'Italia ha fatto ritardo, comunque le istruzioni inviateci via Whatsapp erano precise e non abbiamo avuto difficoltà a entrare in possesso della camera. All'Alux Boutique Hotel ci siamo trovati molto bene, ci tornerei volentieri. Direi che non ci sono stati problemi durante il soggiorno, quindi tutto ok.

• robert (9/5): Centrally-located elegance! - If you want to stay in central Malaga, it doesn’t get much more central than this delightful boutique hotel! On a relatively quiet side street away from noisy bars and clubs, this lovely riyadh-like place is beautifully, but simply decorated, with top quality furniture and fittings. It’s just gorgeous. Don’t let the 2star rating put you off. That’s an irrelevance. Friendly staff are there to greet you until 18.30, after which it’s self-check-in, if I understood right. There’s parking nearby (10mins tops) We loved it! I said “relatively” quiet. There is some noise from the street, and on a Saturday that lasts well into the small hours. We could easily hear the murmur of much conversation outside at 03.30. But it’s not intrusive, unless you’re a very light sleeper, in which case I probably wouldn’t recommend this location at all.

• Ioana (10/5): Perfect stay! - Even though we booked last minute, the room was ready and we even got an early check-in for free, as well as two free delicious cappuccinos! The hotel is perfectly located, the room is nice and clean, the bed is very comfortable. They have a great breakfast/brunch cafe and rooftop and the staff is very nice and helpful. I highly recommend it! The carpet in the bathroom looked dirty.

• Lyndsey (7/5): Very central, a nice hotel but beware of noise! - The positives: very comfy bed, good shower, room was serviced everyday, very clean, central location in the old town with many bars and restaurants nearby, easy after hours check in. We didn't eat at the cafe downstairs as it was in the shade in the morning and it was quite chilly in the mornings when we were there, but the food looked really good. Photos of the view from our room attached. The negatives: it seems that an additional set of doors have been added to the windows to soundproof the room, but the curtains are between the closed doors which makes opening them a real pain. We also had a very heavy sofa bed in front of the windows which we had to move to open the curtains, but which the cleaners kept putting back against the windows so we couldn't open them. This meant the room was dark and stuffy. Aircon didn't work. The street is unbelievably loud with noise to 4 or 5am, even on a week day. The soundproofed doors do work but that means sleeping with the room completely sealed and no air. This is the trade off for staying somewhere so central. Also there was a bad smell of drains in our room. We noticed this a couple of times in the town, too. The room is described as having a balcony, but be aware that this just means it has long doors that open, there is no space to sit or even stand on the balcony. Photo of our room attached.

• Grazia Chiaradia (3/5): Lenzuola molto sporche e stanza non insonorizzata - Posizione centralissima per raggiungere tutti i punti d'interesse della città. Pagando oltre 130€ a notte ci hanno fatto dormire su lenzuola sporche e c'era una vecchia macchia di sangue sul piumino, coperto dal lenzuolo. L'abbiamo notato solo nel tardo pomeriggio rientrando dal nostro tour, quando non c'era nessuno in reception per farci cambiare le lenzuola. Abbiamo dovuto dormire stretti su un lato del letto tutta la notte. L'abbiamo fatto notare la mattina e ci hanno detto che non sono i loro standard.. Ma credo che l'igiene del letto debba essere accuratamente controllata, specialmente se si fanno pagare queste cifre. Inoltre la prima notte siamo stati svegliati alle 4.00 per il baccano che qualcuno faceva in strada, la nostra camera era al piano terra e non era insonorizzata. C'è di meglio nei dintorni.
