• hyunkyung (10/5): - I’m writing this review to express my gratitude to this ryokan for making our Osaka trip even more comfortable and memorable. As someone who has visited Japan more than 30 times, this was honestly one of the most impressive places I’ve ever stayed. Interestingly, there was no traditional check-in lobby, but I actually loved that because there was no waiting at all. They were ready and waiting for us when we arrived, and kindly explained everything in detail. They also gave our family an unforgettable photo session experience, and amazingly, sent us the photos the very next day. Our two children were so happy as well because they prepared thoughtful gifts that perfectly matched each child’s interests. A special thank you to Yuga for the warm hospitality. The next time we visit Osaka, we will definitely stay at this ryokan again.
• Daniel (10/5): Awesome and would highly recommend. We would stay again definitely - After visiting Tokyo, Matsumoto, and Kanazawa, this stay in Osaka was easily the highlight of our whole trip. We were here for four nights and it was just an amazing experience. We chose to sleep on futons for a full Japanese immersion, and the room itself was stunning. It was super comfortable and had everything we needed, including a nice bathroom, a kitchen, a TV, and really good AC. Our host, Mr. Ozaki, was incredibly helpful and attentive. He and his wife actually drove us to Osaka Castle and helped us get a reservation for an awesome dinner. He also taught us so much about Japanese history. He brought some real historical artifacts, explained the background behind them, and let us check them out. He even took some family photos of us with the items. The coolest part of the stay was the hour-long photoshoot he organized for us. My wife and daughter got to wear beautiful kimonos, and I dressed up as a samurai. He had a whole green screen setup and gave us touched-up photos of our family standing in front of castles and scenery like ancient lords and ladies. It was such a classy touch. I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere this nice with so much culture. I highly recommend it!
• Caroline (10/5): Unique Japanese experience in the Osaka Ryokan - Hello we had a warm welcome arriving at the Ryokan : our host were very kind and taking care of us : they ensured that we could sleep well and the additional futons made our experience very good. Then we could benefit from a unique and amazing photo experience in Samurai and Kimono. The costums were beautiful and we could make individual and family photos with weapons. We had a lot of fun to discover so much on the Japanese culture. Big big thank you for this wonderful time in Osaka.

• Tara (10/5): Amazing, well worth the stay at this beautiful ryokan. - We absolutely loved our stay at this ryokan. We had such a lovely time and it became a highlight of our holiday. Ozaki was extremely helpful and kind. Any information we needed was immediately given. He kindly arranged for us to have these amazing photographs taken in traditional costumes. We all loved it. The futon beds were very comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. Even gifts on our arrival. There was nothing that we didn’t like.
• Hugo (9/5): Central location, well equipped, pretty and colourful decoration, with a superb and kind host - The decoration is very nice, the flat is very well equipped, beds (western style in our bedrrom/flat) are very comfortable. Location is close to many restaurants (had breakfast at 3 different places, all very good) and metro station. But what sets this place apart is Ozaki-san. Well before arriving he provided helpful suggestions for activities, places to visit, restaurants and more. On arrival he spend a lot of time showing us all the features of the apartment and the many beautiful objects he has as decoration (it shows that he really takes great pride on Japanese culture), making sure we had our bearings location-wise, and kindly gave us some welcome gifts. And the photo session will always be a precious memory! From helping me give the clothes an extra drying-only cycle on a japanese machine to forwarding a necklace my daughter had left behind to our next hotel, he couldn't do enough - arigatou gozaimasu Ozaki-san. I admit to being a bit apprehensive about the location, next to a main junction, but traffic in Japan seems to be respectful (ie no honking) and almost dies out late at night, and the double-glazing and a/c running covered noise effectively.

• MMoxx (10/5): Amazing stay in Osaka - This was not just a hotel stay, it was an experience in itself. Our host Ozaki took time to show us around the room, explain the history and use of beautiful objects in the room, even included gifts for us and our son. The free photo session was amazing, not rushed at all, it surpassed our expectations. The room was of excellent size, beautifully made, quiet, comfortable and very close to several metro lines useful for transport around the city and to the castle, walking distance to Dotonbori, there's a cafe for breakfast just around the corner. Ozaki-san even shared recommendations for restaurants and attractions, tailored to our needs. all in all it was a really lovely stay, thank you! everything was great.

• Beretta (10/5): - The location was perfect, the property owners could not be more accommodating or amazing. We travelled with our (almost) two year old son, and the owners had activities, nappies and other supplies ready in the accommodation when we arrived (free of charge). We booked a different room to what we had expected (completely our fault) and they were so receptive and offered to move us to our preferred room without additional charge. They cleaned the new room and had it ready for us within the hour. It is rare to feel completely at home, safe and at ease with people on the other side of the world, but we truly felt this way in this accommodation. Would definitely return if staying in Osaka again in the future.

We received lovely welcome gifts which was a lovely surprise. The room was gorgeous and had all the amenities that we required and more. The traditional Japanese bed was soo comfortable I had the best sleep I have had in ages. The photo shoot was an added bonus. The host was the best we had in Japan and could not do enough for us. Gifts for the kids on arrival, his explanation of some of the traditional Japanese items in the room and the dress up in traditional samurai armour made the stay a unique experience. Room was large and the bathrooms were modern and clean. Location was close to the train station and easy walking distance to main shopping area in Osaka. Nothing negative to say about the stay.

It had an exceptional amount of amenities, that were unexpected. This included a washer/dryer combination machine, that in 170 minutes, while we are out touring, our clothes were fully washed. That was a huge surprise and benefit. There is a mini fridge, they provided two 2 liter water bottles, for our use over a two nights day. Plus the water is safe to drink from the tap. There is an elevator, it is small like most elevators here in Japan, but it was sufficient to get all of our luggage up in one trip. we stayed on the fourth floor, which was a beautiful looking room. This exceeded my expectations. I would definitely come back again. The host was very engaging, and provided a list of different things that can be done as well as restaurant recommendations. The hotel is located three minutes from a major metro station (Hommachi), which is very convenient to the Expo. It is also walking distance from their very fancy shopping area. It is a couple of stops away from Namba which is a very neat open food market area (Fukutarou for onokomiyaki). It’s probably a 45 minute walk to the castle, or a 15 minute train ride. Nothing

Pas exactement dans Dotonbori et Namba, mais franchement pas loin et tout à fait accessible à pied (et du coup bien plus au calme !). Ensuite, c’est un véritable petit cocon, confortable et chaleureux (nous y étions en hiver) : on s’y sent tellement bien ! Enfin, et surtout, on a l’impression d’être reçus par des amis aux petits soins. De très bons conseils pour les restaurants, les visites et bien d’autres choses, et nos hôtes ont même réservé pour nous… Bref, ils ont tout rendu simple et agréable grâce à une disponibilité sans faille par whatsapp ! Et quelle gentillesse !!! Une famille tellement attachante !!! J’avoue que je n’étais guère emballé par la séance photo en tenue de samouraï… mais au final, cela a été un moment extraordinaire avec nos enfants, grâce à la gentillesse et au soin apporté à l’expérience par Monsieur Osaki, son fils et son épouse : vraiment à faire ! Ozaki was especially helpful prior to our arrival finding somewhere for us to eat late at night as we arrived from Australia around 10pm. Very spacious room with a kitchenette and huge bathroom. Lots of space for group travellers to spread out. Very thoughtful gifts and trinkets were included for us to take home - my daughter especially loved the lucky cat that she was decorate herself.

He is available for any help or any question and is constantly making sure the guests are comfortable. Beautiful and thoroughly decorated traditional room (ours was with the mount Fuji theme), with some ancient authentic items, like writing brash or metallic mirror. Nicely equipped kitchen, very nice bathroom, everything new, clean, and thought of up to the last detail. But most amazing is the hospitality of the owner Ozaki-san - from the beautiful welcome gifts to the recommendations about the places to visit, allowing us early check-in, helping with arranging the baggage delivery, and a lot more. This was a really unique and authentic experience.

The beds were extremely comfortable, bathroom and kitchen were just perfect, and the whole place felt clean and well taken care of. Номер большой, чистый и очень удобный. Внутри все выглядело по-японски аутентично, действительно очень интересный дом! Вблизи дома есть все необходимое - магазины и метро. Локация очень удобная. В номере есть все, что необходимо: кухня, посуда, стиральная машина, стол, кресла и очень удобные кровати. Владелец Озаки всегда был на связи, подробно рассказал нам о районе и обо всех интересных местах рядом, подарил памятные подарки нам и детям! Однозначно рекомендую! Наша семья осталась в полном восторге!

Mais surtout la gentillesse et les attentions de Ozaki et son assistant ! Une communication par WhatsApp très fluide avec plein d'infos de restaurants, etc.. et surtout, surtout... les photos en samouraï et ido-uchikake (kimono chic des femmes de samouraï) : un moment vraiment original offert par Ozaki, passionné par le sujet - vraiment, à ne pas rater ! Bref, nous nous sommes sentis accueillis :-)

We are two adults and an eight year old, the room is lovely with lots of space and all amenities we could need. The location is great and Ozaki is a brilliant host, the check in was thorough and really welcoming, and he catered to my special request for specific washing machine instructions and provided an excellent clothes rack for us to use as we did a lot of washing there! He also kindly gave us and our son many gifts, which was so kind. We took him up on his kind offer to have a photo shoot, which was a really special experience and we will treasure the photos taken! • Amanda (10/5): Beautiful, Clean, Peaceful, Perfect - My partner and I stayed at the Osaka Ukiyoe Ryokan, and it was the best experience! The ryokan is well placed in the city, near both train station and convenience stores, but is still very quiet and peaceful. Our room was absolutely stunning, clean and spacious with traditional tatami mats, futons, a washer and dryer and, our personal favorite, a traditional Japanese bath (as well as a shower.) Our host, Ozaki and his family were exceptional! They put so much love and care into our stay; from teaching us about pieces of Japanese culture and history to giving us wonderful restaurant and sightseeing recommendations, Ozaki and his family went above and beyond. We highly recommend the commemorative samurai armor and iro uchikake photoshoot. Ozaki has an amazing collection and the experience was a real treat! We will absolutely stay here again when we next visit Osaka. The Osaka Ukiyoe Ryokan is perfect for those looking for a peaceful, quiet and beautiful place to stay. N/A

• Adriel (10/5): What could have been a crisis, turned into the best stay of our honeymoon. - When we arrived in Osaka, we unfortunately had lost one of our luggage on the bullet train. Before we even arrived, Ozaki was on the phone with the station figuring out how to get our bag back to us. We received the bag in two days, all thanks to Ozaki working on our behalf. When we arrived at the Ryokan late, due to the bag being lost, the staff was waiting for us at the room and Ozaki gave us a grand tour of the world we had just entered. It was beyond comparison. The ambiance, amenities, sleeping arrangements, and bath were all well above our expectations. The list of restaurants, recommendations of where to shop for our misplaced items, and recommendations for us as first time Japan travelers showed us that this host wasn't only treating us as his guests, he was treating us as his family. At the end of our time together, Ozaki went above and beyond to host a photoshoot for us and even edit the photos and send them to us after our stay. We will be back here, and will never stay anywhere else in Osaka. We can't recommend this ryokan enough. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.
• Nikoletta (10/5): Memories for a lifetime - We had a wonderful stay with Ozaki-san in early October. I based our booking on reviews I'd read and it did not disappoint. Ozaki-san was incredible from the moment I made my booking, sending restaurant recommendations, tourist advice and this continued through our stay if ever we had a query. He is such a kind and generous man and we had the most incredible start to our holiday thanks to him. The Ryokan it a beautiful hideaway and very centrally located, close to the Metro, convenience stores and restaurants. The apartments are thoughtfully decorated and Ozaki-san shares the detail and rich history behind the decor. The rooms have everything you could need. We really loved having access to the washer/dryer facilities in the room and the beautiful bath. No detail has been overlooked and the Ryokan has such a discreet entrance you wouldn't even know it was there. Like many others, the true highlight is the complimentary photoshoot. Memories for a lifetime and all my husband's dreams came true in his Samurai costume! The only downside of staying at Osaka Ukiyoe Ryokan is that it sets the bar so high when it comes to customer service Ozaki-san and his family offer. It truly was an amazing experience and we can't wait to return.

From the moment we arrived, Ozaki took the time to show us all the amenities, welcomed us with thoughtful gifts, and even surprised us with a beautiful anniversary present. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the photoshoot experience in samurai gear and silk kimono — truly unique and something we’ll treasure forever. It was clear how much care and effort Ozaki and his family put into curating every detail to make it special. We couldn’t recommend this ryokan more highly — it was an unforgettable experience, and we’re so grateful for their kindness and hospitality.

• Sakurai (10/5): とても良かったです。 - 家族連れのため５人で泊まれる所がなかなか無く、こちらは、畳の部屋で広くてゆっくりくつろぐ事が出来て、とても助かりました。 建物自体は、古いのかもしれませんが、なかは、とても綺麗で、清潔で良かったです。 また、キッチンには、レンジ、食器もあり、こちらも大変助かりました。 コーヒー、紅茶のティーパックや、子供用にお菓子の詰め合わせ、外国人向けかもしれませんが、絵葉書、コップ、手鑑などのお土産も付いていました。 洗濯は、利用しませんでしたが、長期滞在者には、助かると思います。 大型道路に面していますが、二重の窓が設置されており、思ったよりかなり静かでゆっくり寝れました。 また中央線線の駅入り口も近く、コンビニも近所に複数あり万博に行くのに、とても便利なロケーションでした。 管理人の方も、こちらの要望にすぐに応えて頂き、色々対応して頂き大変感謝しております。 また、大阪にいく際には、リピートしたいと思います。 民泊か旅館か、最初は、分からなかったのですが、民泊としては、とても良かったです。
• shelly (10/5): חוויה מיוחדת ויוצאת דופן, ממליצה בחום!! - המארח שלנו אוזאקי, היה אדם מיוחד ויוצא דופן באדיבותו. עוד לפני שהגענו הוא יצר איתנו קשר ואמר שהוא הכין לנו רשימה עם מסעדות מומלצות. הגענו לריוקן בשעת ערב מאוחרת, החדר היה מדהים ומיוחד ביופיו, בדיוק כמו בתמונות ואף יותר. כל המתקנים היו נקיים ומתוחזקים היטב. אוזאקי המתין לנו עם מלא מתנות והסבר מפורט על המתקנים והשימוש בהם וגם על התרבות היפנית שקשורה למתנת שהוא הכין לנו. במהלך שהותנו הוא הקפיד בכל יום לוודא שלא חסר לנו דבר והזכיר לנו שהוא תמיד פה בשבילנו לכל דבר שנצטרך ותמיד נתן הרגשה טובה ונוחה לבקש דברים. הריוקן נמצא מרחק של כ 150 מטר מתחנת מטרו (2 תחנות משם יורדים לאיזור הנמבה). מרחק הליכה של כקילומטר לאיזור נהר הטנדורי. יש 7/11 במרחק של כ 100 מטר. לסיכום, חוויה יוצאת דופן ומיוחדת. נחתנו הישר לתרבות היפנית בתפארתה עם לינה בחדר יפני מסורתי מושלם ומארח שדאג לנו 24/7 עד לפרט הכי קטן. תודה רבה על הכל אוזאקי, אנחנו לא נשכח אותך ובטוחים שנחזור ונפגש שוב. לא קיים.

• Katrina (10/5): Excellent family Japanese accommodation. - We had the most thorough and educational check in, explaining Japanese traditions and the items in the room and what they were used for in the past. Then we had an awesome photo shoot in traditional Japanese outfits, Japanese customs and history explained to us. It was lovely and included our kids. The location is fantastic whether you want to access the trains or just wonder through this beautiful city that is covered in lights at night time it is easy. I hope we meet again, we would love to visit OSAKA again.

He responded immediately even well before our stay, and even made reservations for us, attending to every need. The ryokan and service were exceptional. • Daniela (10/5): Wunderbare Unterkunft mit wunderbaren Gastgebern! - Die Unterkunft liegt zentral und in der Nähe der Metro, das Zimmer war wunderschön im japanischen Stil eingerichtet, die Tatami Matten waren nicht hart sondern sehr gemütlich, mit wunderbar fluffigen Decken. Bei der Ankunft fanden wir Geschenke für jedes Familienmitglied vor und hatten schon vorab eine umfassende Liste mit Restaurant Tipps erhalten. Das beste war aber mit Abstand die Gastfreundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft von unserem Gastgeber. Am ersten Tag verlor unser Sohn sein Handy und ohne Ozaki hätten wir es sicher nicht wieder bekommen. Er hat im Restaurant angerufen, war persönlich bei der Polizei und hat einen Bericht abgegeben, er hat bei den Taxiunternehmen nachgefragt und uns ständig auf dem Laufen gehalten. Es war unglaublich, ich habe noch nie eine solche Hilfsbereitschaft erlebt! Und am Ende wurde das Handy tatsächlich bei der Polizei abgegeben. Ein Happy End! Wir können die Unterkunft und die wunderbare Gastfreundschaft nur wärmstens empfehlen! Nichts

• Cai (9/5): 很满意，有机会再去大阪的话会考虑再选择这里。 - 旅馆装饰是日本浮世绘风格，此行入住的是榻榻米房间，面积很宽敞，房内基本生活设施齐全，入住还为每人准备了一份小礼包，有收纳袋、镜子、一些小零食（p3很好吃），有种老派的讲究；步行3-5分钟可以到达地铁站，前往梅田之类的商业区很便捷。 店主人尾崎先生和员工yuga先生（应该是这么拼写的吧:)）都十分热心。入住当天我们比邮件沟通的原计划时间提前到达，但是房间还未收拾干净，我们放下行李后外出逛街，收到尾崎先生的致歉邮件，并且一直等到我们晚上回旅馆后再次当面表达歉意，还问了我们喜欢的卡通形象，之后又准备了一些小礼物。推荐的戎街就在心斋桥附），沿途可以一边逛一边步行返回（但要注意时间，日本商铺关门比较早）。 虽然是传统旅馆的设计，但是有着类似酒店的灵活政策，如有需要也可以提前与负责人协商，提前入住或推迟退宿等，旅馆也提供免费的行李寄存服务。 房间内部分角落的卫生还需要再细致一些，例如电视柜上有非常明显的灰尘。
• Dayeon (10/5): 완벽한 위치, 아름다운 디자인, 친절친절친절!! - 역에 가까운 완벽한 위치, 아름다운 인테리어 디자인, 편리하게 갖춰져있는 모든 시설들, 심지어 무료로 진행해주시는 전통의상 사진촬영(간단한 체험이 아닌 정말 전문적인 체험이에요!!)까지. 모든 것이 완벽했지만 그중에서도 가장 기억에 남는 것은 주인부부와 유가 씨의 친절, 정성어린 마음씨였습니다. 이곳에 머물게 된 것이 정말 행운이라고 느껴졌고 친절하신 모습에 눈물이 찔끔 날 정도였습니다. 오사카에 간다면 무조건 이 숙소에 다시 묶을거에요. 두돌이 안된 아기도 함께 갔는데 너무나 좋아했고, 아기가 머물기에도 안전한 데다가 아기용품을 챙겨주시기까지 했습니다. 정말 다시 한번 감사드립니다! 없어요! 모든것이 완벽해요!

• Lee-Ann (10/5): A home away from home - Ozaki made us feel so at home. He was like an uncle to us. From providing us with extensive restaurant recommendations to checking in on us daily, we felt well looked after. The room was beautifully designed and the size of it meant that we did not feel like we were on top of each other constantly. The ryokan was in a quiet area but conveniently located near nice restaurants and the subway station. It was nice to be away from the craziness of Dotonbori and Namba but it was just a 30 minute walk at most to those areas (of course, quicker on the train but we like to walk). We really recommend doing the complimentary kimono photoshoot. Ozaki's collection of kimonos were works of art, constructed of heavy silk with stunning embroidery. You won't get to see kimonos like these at an average store - maybe only in a museum. It was interesting to learn more about the significance of these kimonos and Japanese culture in general from Ozaki.

The beds were comfortable, and the space was perfect for our family. This was a perfect introduction to Japan and Japanese hospitality. Close to the metro line, easy access from the airport. Would stay here again.

• Chaoyi (10/5): It was a perfect stay - The Ryokan is immaculate and serene. Everything inside is like new and modern. Though beside a highway we couldn’t hear a thing. Ozaki San really cares for his guests and makes our stay perfect. We received so much help and warm gestures during our three day stay, and we already feel like having a close friend in Osaka. My daughter cannot wait to go back. Ukiyoe ryokan is home away from home.

• Jennifer (10/5): Great experience of a lifetime for my family! - We had an amazing time staying at this ryokan. In fact this was the highlight of our 9 days in Japan. Our host, Mr. Ozaki and his lovely wife made sure that we experienced the REAL Japan! Every corner of this ryokan is filled with surprises and history. My family will always remember this moment staying at this awesome place. There were great restaurants / 7- eleven just around the corner, Dotonbori is just a 10 to 15 minute taxi ride. You will not regret staying at this place. NONE

• Sanchez (8/5): Amazing experience that my family will cherish forever. - The inn owner is a treasure. He does everything he can before your stay and while you are there to ensure your comfort. Recommendations, making reservations-- all the stuff that can be challenging. His studio full of samurai outfits and kimono was impressive, fun, and a really interesting experience. We stayed in the Fuji room. It was perfect. 5 beds, room.for luggage, big shower, separate toilet room, washer/dryer unit in the shared bathroom space. It felt a little like we were at the imperial palace with the murals on the walls from famous Japanese artists. Easy access to trains, cabs, convenience stores, shopping. The traditional beds are sweet, just maybe a little much if you are older and have a not so great back. The highway noise was barely noticeable.

• Lisa Elenius (10/5): Authentic and inviting - Lovely little Ryokan’s, tucked away but still very central. Nice large space for a family. Had everything we needed. Amazing, hospitable host that helped with restaurant bookings and also arranged a really fun photo shoot. Maybe a bit dark but it was in the middle of summer so it helped keep the temperature down.
