• Monika (9/5): Perfect location - Great location, very quite yet across from the Central Market and two blocks from the main square. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, especially the manager José. Nice breakfast. Highly recommended.
• Ruth (9/5): Superb - The staff were very friendly and allowed me early check in as well as storage of my bags for many hours. The room was comfortable and the bed was comfortable. It is in a very central location and the breakfast was basic but had a few options! Lovely courtyard too. The room was quite bright in the morning as the curtains didn't fit both doors as my room looked out onto the courtyard but this was a minor inconvenience. Other than that and slow wifi (which is common across all of Sucre), all was great!

• Judit (10/5): Exceptional - This hotel is conveniently located near the UNESCO-listed old town, just steps away from the bustling central market and within walking distance of all major attractions. While centrally situated, it is tucked away enough to provide a peaceful stay with minimal traffic noise. The rooms are cosy, though the bathroom could use some mold removal. Breakfast is quite basic, but the staff happily prepare scrambled or fried eggs on request. The team is friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. I would stay here again.

• Liz (9/5): Tranquil spot off busy area - Good breakfast, nice peaceful spot off one of the busy streets near the central market, staff were really friendly and breakfast was good. There were some marks on the bedsheets and could have done with some bar soap / hand wash in the bathroom
• David (8/5): Quiet oasis in busy market area of Sucre - Room was warm and clean and beds were comfortable. Shower was hot. Breakfast was basic but good. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a kitchen for guests to use We had to ask for toilet paper, soap and a hand towel. When our room was cleaned, the person that cleaned didn't put more toilet paper in the bathroom even though they could have noticed we had run out of tp (we stayed 3 days and this happened twice). However, staff did give us more when we requested it.

• Gioacchino (8/5): Brilliant hotel, amazing location, but staff service wasn't great. - The room was great, nice and big. Breakfast was nice too, and the location was amazing. I'd recommend this hotel. No staff in the hotel spoke English, and they lost some of my items when I checked in early! They were found after, but the staff need to pay closer attention to detail to their guests' needs. The shower could have been a little better as it took a while for the water to run hot. These are minor issues though.

• Stephen (9/5): Superb - A little oasis of calm, just off probably the busiest street in Sucre old town. The staff were really nice, helped call me a taxi to the airport Breakfast is excellent. Buffet style cereal, toast, cheese etc, plus fresh juice and freshly cooked eggs (BYO avocado!). Kitchen facilities available for use and a big 20 l barrel of water to refill your bottles from. Room was great, good hot shower and decent WiFi. Warm white lamp above the bed (:D). Quiet and dark at night. Only cold water at the sink and no soap. You don't get a key for the front door so you have to ring the bell and wait for staff to let you in.
• Pavel (10/5): Best Choice in Sucre - Nicely decorated and very quiet hotel. Centrally located. Comfortable beds. Decent shower. Work desk. Tasty breakfast. Very friendly staff, especially the man, who deserves a promotion for his hospitality. The internet upstairs was not so good.

• Andréa (10/5): La Escondida Hostal - The Hostal is in the middle of everything that you have to visit, though it's very calm inside. The access is easy. The staff is adorable. Breakfast is very complete. Wifi is fine. The shower is hot and strong Thank you La Escondida Hostal !

• Céline (10/5): Amazing location and great staff! - The location is amazing, right next to the mercado central but without all the noise, it feels like a little oasis. The rooms are big and comfortable and for the price we couldn’t ask for more. They let us check in after an overnight bus (6.30am) which was so appreciate. We were able to leave our bags with them too. They have a little kitchen that’s great to cook and the staff was so nice! We’d 100% come back! Great value for money as well

Big plus was that we could refill our water bottles! Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was no window in the room so it got very hot during the night, we couldn't get in any fresh air. There was only a double door with glass you could open to get in the room.

Great value, clean and good breakfast. - The staff were kind and friendly, it was a great location, despite being in the centre, it's set back down a path, so you can't hear any noise. It's very tranquil. The courtyard setting is beautiful. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, although there is some missing plaster and paint in some places. Good TV with an English channel (CNN). The breakfast was superb, plenty of choice. Hot water can be limited. There was no hot water in the evening (21.00h) I had to wait until the following morning to see if there was hot water for a shower then, and there was! No sachet of shampoo or soap was provided. No power socket near the bed. You can't charge your phone while you use it in bed.

The bathroom had great water pressure and hot water. Great value for money, we would definitely stay here again. The only thing that was a little less than great, was the matress. It felt very soft and dit not support our backs.

Great location -right next to Mercado Central and only a couple blocks away from the main plaza. Although it’s right on a busy street it’s quiet (as it’s deeper inside the building) It looked like part of the room was not cleaned (carpet could use a vacuum cleaner) but in general hotel looked clean.

Also the patio was so charming, with lots of plants and flowers, really loved it and could have stayed there forever. Nicest hotel I have been in whole south america. And the staff was always friendly and helpful and even let us in at 5.30 in the morning. We could even check in the room this early, without any additional cost!
