Diane (1/5): Extremely Bad Experience - We booked and paid for this apartment for 11 nights over Xmas and New Year. On arrival we were advised by the host who was over an hour late meeting us that there was a problem with the previous guests and we could not stay there but promised when it was resolved possibly in 3 days he would move us into this apartment but this never happened and he had lied to us from the beginning. The truth was obvious that the apartment had been double booked as we saw guests move into it. He said we could stay in another of their apartments which was awful when we arrived it was substandard a 1 star at best nothing like the Brand New one we had booked and paid for. We spent 2 full days visiting every Apartment letting agent to try and find another apartment but there was nothing available as Tenerife was booked up solid. I would not recommend dealing with this unscrupulous host. We did not receive any help in resort from Bookiply who advertised the apartment through Booking.com. Our long awaited holiday that we worked all year for was completely ruined. On returning home Booking.com have kindly looked at our complaint and addressed the issues and have apologised. We are still waiting on Bookiply who have not acknowledged any responsibility as yet!
