Guest Reviews
- Bund (8/5): It was a lovely escape for a team work getaway. Enjoyed spending time in Stirling, beautiful coffee, walks and property - Great location, walking distance to main street, hotel and coffee shops. Wifi connectivity wasn’t great, would have been nice to have some wood ready for guests (not just kindling) and only one roll of toilet paper for weekend stay.
- Merrill (10/5): Just what we needed for a lovely get away. - Spacious, beautifully styled, had everything we wanted & more, great location. Nothing to add.
- Rona (10/5): Super Stirling - Beautiful property, clean and extremely comfortable
Great location. Sterling is 5min walk and has everything you need Loved everything.
- Wendy (10/5): - A beautiful house. The interiors were well thought out with high quality finishes. Two living spaces which was great for a family. Well appointed kitchen and appreciated the Nespresso machine! Excellent central heating. The house is in an excellent location.
- Elaine (7/5): Good - The bathroom is structurally problematic as it floods. The amount of flooding is a serious slip hazard and a potential liability. The house needs a good de-cobbing include removal of spiders. There is an electrical fault that needs to be addressed.
This property has huge potential but as it currently stands, it should be taken off the short-term rental market and addressed to ensure safety for renters.
- Amilia (10/5): A beautiful weekend in Stirling 🥰 - A gorgeous cottage on the outside and inside! Beautifully renovated with amazing attention to detail and high quality furnishings. A very welcoming and cosy atmosphere. We loved every moment of our stay here and will be back!
- Abi (9/5): Divine cottage, beautiful furnishings with spacious rooms - This cottage is beautifully decorated with high quality furnishings. The rooms are very spacious and the layout /building structure enables good privacy between rooms. The living areas provide options for either being all together or finding your own secluded space. Lovely presentation- will happily stay there again. The bathroom is small and stepping into and out of the bath/shower might be troublesome for some.
- Louise (10/5): We really enjoyed staying at this property.. it’s been beautifully decorated and has everything you could need and just - The property was beautiful, really nicely decorated, top notch furnishings and equipment and I slept so well in such comfortable beds, it really is a beautiful property and the communication from owners when I had few minor queries was brilliant. It also has amazing air conditioning that you can set for each room! It is on a main road which doesn’t cause problems as such and I was aware but sometimes tricky getting out of drive due to cars parked on street but not the owners fault… only improvement would be handrail going up steps to garden as dad who is 84 had to be very careful but didn’t stop him!!!
- Ali (1/5): Bad - Beds were comfortable No provisions at all, not even coffee or milk. Dining room chairs uncomfortable, bathroom small, floor was always wet from shower, had to climb into a deep bath to get in shower, house smelt horrible when we arrived, had to clean the fridge before using it due to smell and dirty shelves. Wasn't told that the tour down under was on the same weekend forcing us to be blocked in until 7pm on checkout day.. all I got from the host was sorry you can stay longer. Ummmmm I can't leave!!!!
- Charmaine (8/5): Beautiful home - The house is beautiful, well equipped, and an excellent location. has everything you will need for a great stay. Check in is simple and easy. Furnishings are tasteful, beds are comfortable. The bathroom is the one thing that stops this being perfect. It has a bath where it really isn't needed. unfortunately water pours down the side from the shower and the floor is covered. Going to the toilet with a wet floor isn't great. Honestly they should take the bath out and make it a shower only.
- Odette (9/5): Easy communication with Hannah our host, great location to shops and hotel, well priced - The location, we had a family engagement party at the Stirling hotel, and it was great location to walk to and from. Close to all shops for the next morning hangover pie. None that I could think of the furniture and fixtures where beautiful, we were all adults, I think if I had little kids, I would be worried that they would break something.
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional - Super comfy beds, classy styling throughout and an old world charm made this a standout stay for us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this as a great getaway destination. Not a thing
- Anne (7/5): Lovely place. Surprisingly quiet for being on a main road - Comfortable beds, well equipped, charming older property The bathroom!!! Major problems with a lovely new bathroom but very poorly designed leading to the floor being flooded every time one used the shower. Nervous that this could be an accident waiting to happen. We needed to use towels to dry floor.
- Kate (8/5): Enjoyed our time - Gorgeous little cottage. Comfortable beds. Great location close to shops. The bathroom had an issue with water pooling on the floor causing a slip hazard. Almost slipped a few times. Had to put all the towels down to mop it up. Not sure if it was leaking from the light or from the shower.
- Ashleigh (10/5): Absolutely perfect place to get ready for my wedding - Gorgeous interior and exterior, set up was amazing. Staff are so accommodating and lovely. Now much wardrobe hanging space (not very high).
- Marli (8/5): overall a beautiful, clean and functional accommodation - loved the our door seating. beautiful spot for a morning coffee in the sunshine. loved the charm owns the original features in the home. household items, possibly some tomato sauce for the pantry and extra tissues
- Shenae (9/5): Superb -
- Ashleigh (8/5): Very good - The house was beautiful and full of character. The location was great, and an easy walk into the pub, shops and cafes. Rooms were comfortable and the house had everything you needed. The bathroom was a problem. The water from the shower ran all over the floor making it slippery. Need to really be careful not to slip.
- Nikki (10/5): Great spot - Great cottage, really spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities, comfy beds, cosy fire
- Julie (8/5): Good position, charming cottage, but bathroom a problem - Lovely furnishings, comfortable beds, quiet despite being on main road. Excellent heating Bathroom beautiful, however poor design. Shower water goes all over the floor where the drain is not positioned at the lowest point. Floor was always wet.
A microwave would be a helpful addition
Musty smell in front area
- Eva (5/5): Dissapointing - The house and decor is beautiful It specifies it caters for 6 but there is only 1 toilet which is in the shared single bathroom which is ok if your a couple but not for 6 people, furthermore the shower which is in the bath with a screen which is not sealed so when someone has a shower it leaks all over the bathroom floor so need to be careful you dont slip, there is a mop but that doesnt get all the water out. Quite noisy as it is on the main road, and not close to main strip, outdoor area is lovely with the trees but steps leading up there is no rail and chairs and table very basic. We had a wedding and wanted to check in 1hr earlier but they could not guarantee until the time. Nice house but not worth the money.
