• Sergio (4/5): No volvería - La ubicación era céntrica, pero si duermes con la ventana abierta se oyen mucho el ruido de los coches. La terraza está bien. El personal casi inexistente. Por las mañanas no hay agua, no sé a qué hora la abren. Con el wifi lo mismo, salí del hostel a las 10.00h y tampoco tenían wifi. Por la tarde sí había. La cocina está muy sucia, y el personal se limita a pasearse sin camiseta. No aconsejaría este hostel.

• Stanley (7/5): Amazing place but bedbugs... - Everyone working here was amazing, it's squeaky clean, and the rooftop is the best I've ever seen. But I have found A LOT of bedbugs in my room... I heard some professionals are coming to take care of it, so hopefully they are gone by the time I write this review. Otherwise, I had two great nights there ! The bedbugs and the small extra fees (late checkin, towels, etc.. )

• Beccy Isles (10/5): Chilled and comfortable hostel - The staff were lovely, the owner does a rooftop BBQ a few times a week and the food and views are amazing. Its such a chilled vibe, exactly the kind of place you want to relax and enjoy. The beds were comfortable and all had curtains, so there was privacy. Never had any issues getting into the bathroom and it was always clean when I went. They were also super helpful when my booking was duplicated. I will absolutely stay again when passing through Tirana.

• Burak (8/5): - nice location We have made the booking and a little later we had a message from the host telling us the room was already booked by another person. But I couldnt see the message as i didnt have any internet and found that out when I came for the check in. They offered us 2 beds in a dormitory with a discount but me and my girlfriend booked there for a private room so we couldnt accept that and had to find another place to stay. host told us we have the disount whenever we come nice of them but i hope no one experiences again.

• Anonymous (10/5): Best place in Tirana - It is probably the best hostel in all of Tirana. My room was big and spacious and i had privacy curtains. I has also bad a bathroom and shower right inside my room, which most hostels don't have. The kitchen was also so large. The upper floor relaxation lounge was the best though. It had hammocks, camping tents, a gathering spot and again it was quite large. The social feeling of the place was there and they also offered events. I also could buy a drunk there if i wanted water or a refreshing drink. I only wish they had an electronic lock at the door.
• Robert (10/5): A Fantastic Experience with a Welcoming Community - The owner, Class, is very personable and fun to be with. He's helpful and thoughtful and, if you're lucky, he'll invite you and other guests out to a fantastic dance party! The volunteer staff during my stay were all wonderful people who created a warm sense of community in the hostel. A beautiful young couple from Venezuela and Uruguay, a young woman from New Zealand, a young gentleman from El Salvador, and a young lady from Taiwan. They were easy going, friendly, generous of heart, and thoughtful people. I truly enjoyed sharing meals and a few beers in the kitchen and on the rooftop with them. Hostel Albania LoFT felt like "home" as a result. Of course, I stayed for over 2 weeks, which gave me this perspective about the staff and the hostel. Someone staying overnight or just a couple of days may not have enough time to enjoy the same kind of warm experience. Hanging out and talking in the kitchen or on the rooftop at night give the place an extra welcoming 'homey' vibe. I was very happy and satisfied with my stay, but here are three simple recommendations which might help create an even better experience for future guests: Some of the storage areas in the rooms had locks and others did not. I think all guests should be able to put their things away in a storage area that locks. Whether they choose to lock their things up is up to them. The owner says that in all the years that he's owned the hostel there's never been a theft. I believe him. Hostel Albania LoFT attracts a very honest clientele. Even so, it only takes one incident for that to change. This is not a criticism. I simply think it's a good idea to provide a locking storage area for every guest. The showers are small and someone my height cannot bend over to dry their feet off in them. A small absorbent floor mat in each bathroom would be a great addition since stepping out of the shower onto the bare floor makes the floor unnecessarily wet, which leaves a mess and creates more work for the staff. Paper towels in the kitchen would be good. One can't use a cloth dish towel for everything. For a juicy orange or peach, a paper towel in hand is just practical. I bought two rolls of paper towels while I was there. You can buy the environmentally friendly recycled variety, as I did, if waste is a concern.

• Paweł (10/5): Exceptional - I spent 5 nights there - this is great hostel with amazing rooftop so I guess top option in Tirana if you like rooftop relax. Klas, owner of the hostel, is a great, responsive host, with amazing music knowledge :). Whole staff was helpful and present. Kitchen is nicely equipped (knives are sharp which is not exactly standard in most hostels haha), rooms are specious and I had great sleep there. Bathrooms are clean and private.
• Elias (10/5): the best place in Tirana - I loved the vibe of the hostel, the terrace is impressive, you can see the sunsets from there, Claas is super friendly and is always attentive to your comfort, the location is excellent you can go Walking distance to anywhere from the hostel, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to cook, plus free coffee and tea makes it the perfect place
• Carlos (10/5): Exceptional - I stayed 5 days with a friend. We arrived without a reservation but to be able to share my experience I made a reservation because I felt the need to defend this absolutely cool place against this platform and a special guest. We also had the pleasure to meet this Italian guy (Carmine, left a 3 star review) who was constantly trying to provoke others. I witnessed that the guy, mid-end of his 40s start picking on a young french girl in the kitchen that felt intimidated and didn't know how to react, but the owner, who was preparing a BBQ for the guests, saw it and told the guy that there is no room at this place for sexism or inappropriate behaviour against women. While she expressed her gratitude, the guy started to argue until the owner told him if he doesn't stop now he has to leave. That was just an example for his behaviour... One night we had a beer on the roof terrace with the Klas the owner. It was two days after that Italian guy was asked to leave finally and the day he left his review. Klas expressed his concerns against this platform and that they are not able to stop these kind of guests from writing wrong accusations because this platform here doesn't care. From the hostels I have been so far on this trip, this was clearly the best. The owner has a strong left wing political attitude and I think that in times like this there is a need for people and places like this. You will meet people like this Italian guy in every 2nd hostel but it's important how the people running the hostel deal with that. To many hostels don't care as long as the guests pays. If you like values like being against fascism, homophobia, sexism, ablesim and so on, this is the place to go. Well done guys and thank you for the good times.

We loved to chitchat with him and the other guests on the wonderful rooftop terrace. Room was neat and clean and the drinks as cold as ice. What a huge recommendation! Thanks 🫶🏼

• Adam (5/5): Would be a decent hostel if the staff were more honest and professional. - The location is ideal and the kitchen had all the necessary amenities. A very dishonest staff member tried to charge me 3,000 eur instead of 3,000 Albanian Lek on the credit card machine. I even saw him switch the currency on the machine from Lek to Eur. Luckily, I always look at the machine and the amount before I tap the card or insert it. The staff members need to be trained in hospitality.

Despite leaving half an hour late compared to the scheduled check-out time she proved to be very helpful; the house was clean and equipped with everything necessary, good area, 5 min walk from the Pazar and 10 from the City centre. The stay was perfect as already stated, if I would have to recommend something it would be to add a couple of pillows to the sofa, the bed was a little too hard and maybe leave a little bottle of oil just in case

But not only a hostel to me because it is also a social place where people can connect and benefit from the owners political Ideals. But as a hostel I have to point out the huge roof top terrace and the big kitchen.

Laundry and towel rental were on the expensive side for a place that is already a bit more than others in the area (which is a fair walk from the center and any major bus stop). Didn't seem like a place where people socialized much, but I can't fault the hostel for that.
