- Elizabeth (7/5): - Swimming pool, quiet location, garden facing room Staff unhelpful, charged us 5€ for a swimming towel NOT a deposit, reluctantly removed charge when we objected - never been charged for a swimming towel in any hotel worldwide. Despite location being quiet, long uphill walk to town or a €100 return taxi fare would prevent us recommending to others. Staff at breakfast were moving guests off tables quite rudely.

- Frank (8/5): - Fijn zwembad en prima avondeten. Het ligt een eindje af van de Via Francigena. Zorg ervoor dat je niet doorloopt tot Monterrigioni maar eerder een landweg naar links inslaat. Dan loop je er zo naar toe. Beste kun je ook zo de volgende dag weer je weg vervolgen. Is wel iets om maar alternatief is lopen langs een erg drukke weg.
- Louise (8/5): Pleasant hotel with nice facilities - Comfortable and clean with a great pool and restaurant. Just outside Monteriggioni on the Via Francigena. Dinner in restaurant was good despite it being very busy. Staff need to be a bit more forthcoming with information rather than guest having to ask 20 questions. We were there on a transport strike day and despite asking for information to bus stop they didn’t bother to tell us it was a strike day. A couple of us asked a number of questions with fairly perfunctory answers where if inclined the staff could have given more information. When we asked others they actually had been given information so it wasn’t that staff didn’t know they just didn’t impart it willingly. Lady stocking breakfast buffet should get more sleep or decide that she is going to be pleasant rather than serve with a thunderous face. I know how breakfast works in hotels, it’s a mad rush but facing it with a smile might make the day better.

- Klaudia (8/5): Für eine kurzfristige Übernachtung war das Hotel eine gute Wahl. Besonders das sehr gute Abendessen, der freundliche Ser - Wir sind sehr kurzfristig für eine Nacht im Hotel Il Piccolo Castello geblieben, da wir aufgrund der Straßenverhältnisse eine andere Unterkunft leider nicht wahrnehmen konnten. Der Check-in war problemlos, schnell und unkompliziert. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchten wir das Abendessen. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker, und die Kellner waren aufmerksam, freundlich und sehr angenehm im Umgang. Das war für uns definitiv das Highlight des Aufenthalts. Der Pool ist groß, und insgesamt war alles sauber. Auch die Lobby fanden wir sehr hübsch und charmant gestaltet. Das Zimmer ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es ist nicht modern, hat aber durchaus eigenen Charme und Charakter. Für den Preis war das für uns vollkommen in Ordnung, daher gibt es hier aus unserer Sicht nichts zu meckern.

- Michael (9/5): Excellent hotel but access on foot is difficult - This is a lovely hotel with a good swimming pool approx 2kms from Monteriggione. Excellent breakfast The only major problem is if you are travelling on foot (eg walking the Via Francigena as we were); to access the hotel you have to divert approx 1-1.5 kms from the Via Francigena- and for about 1Km to reach the hotel you are walking on a very busy and narrow road with no footpath. Similarly once you are in the beautiful hotel the only way to leave on foot is to travel approx 1km along that really dangerous road-so if you want to go towards monteriggione to eat or to rejoin the Via Francigena the following morning make sure you have your will up to date. There is a grass margin but its very narrow and very uneven and difficult to walk safely on. The local authorities need to put in a footpath before someone get killed. In the meantime perhaps the hotel could arrange a shuttle service or something like that.

- HaPeBohland (9/5): Schönes Hotel, nettes Personal, gutes Frühstück, liegt gut für Ausflüge in die Umgebung - Das Hotel war sehr schön, das Personal freundlich, das Frühstück gut. Es war für uns Ausgangspunkt zur Fahrten in die Region (Chianti, Volterra, Siena, San Simignano). Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Es war eigentlich alles in Ordnung. Wir hatten halt ein Zimmer direkt über der Einfahrt zur Tiefgarage (oder was auch immer das war). Im Zimmer war es immer etwas dunkler. Aber die Ausstattung war sehr gut. Nach Monteriggioni war es zu weit zum Laufen, da musste man mit dem Auto fahren.

Io e il mio compagno ci siamo trovati benissimo e sicuramente torneremo la prossima volta che faremo una gira in Toscana. Ottimo il ristorante che ci hanno consigliato! L'hotel ci è piaciuto tantissimo, l'unica pecca è stata alla colazione, purtroppo non c'erano i cartelli che davano il nome al cibo. Ad esempio c'erano vari croissant ma nn c'è scritto cosa contenevano all'interno. Questo è solo un consiglio per migliorare un servizio già eccellente!!

Si trova sul percorso della via Francigena, il sentiero segnalato passa davanti all'ingresso dell'Agriturismo. Posizione un'pò isolata a sud della Val d'Orcia, in ogni caso località storiche raggiungibili in 20'.

Le restaurant de l'hôtel n'est pas incroyable.

Purtroppo nella SPA, già non grandissima, non funzionava il bagno turco; però per questo motivo hanno applicato uno sconto. Colazione ricca. Purtroppo la struttura è a ridosso della superstrada ed il rumore al mattino disturba un po', ma non credo possa esserci soluzione a questo.
