Guest Reviews
- Sergio (5/5): Very basic accommodation that needs improvements. Overpriced for what it is. - The apartement has a beautiful view over the castle and the valley.
It is outside the city centre but very near (2 min by car or 15 min walk).
The lady that is taking care of the apartment and her daughters are very friendly. Unfortunately they do not speak English but this is not a big problem and we could understand each other (with my broken arabic). The owner, on the other hand, speaks good English and is also very friendly. He has a little restaurant/cafe in town, near the castle, with the same name (Montain View) were we had dinner. It is pleasant. The apartment is very run down and has very little to offer.
The single bed was so unconfortable to make it unusable. The mattress was completely used up and thin. So the three of us ended up sleeping all in the king-size bed.
The kitchen is very poorly equipped: there is only a fridge and a kettle. Noting else. No microwave, no cooktop, etc. And there is only one cup for coffee. It wouldn't take much to add a microwave and a few cups and spoons.
The shower was almost unusable because the water was just a trickle. Also, I don't know whether it was dirty or stained but definitely not inviting.
- Sawalga (10/5): Exceptional - An absolutely amazing place with a calm and relaxing atmosphere, the owner is very friendly and helpful all throughout the time of my stay in the apartment. It was a pleasing experience with the most beautiful view of the castle.
Would definitely recommend it and go for it again whenever I get back to karak. Nothing was wrong
- Louise (4/5): Disappointed - Amazing views, apartment very dated, needs a total facelift, beds uncomfortable, kitchen area dirty, such ashame, this property could be amazing.
- Georgeos (10/5): Exceptional - The view is truly phenomenal. Better than I expected. You will not be dissapointed. The owner is also a true gentleman.
- Norlela (9/5): Superb - The view is soo amazing We came in winter and the AC is not working. They give small heater but not enough. Other than this everything is great 👍
- Cochin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Neomi1 (9/5): Lovely accomodation with great view - The view at Kerak Castle was spectacular! I also loved the traditional furniture of the living room. The owner was super nice and helpful. There were some minor issues with the shower (the cold water didn't work and then you couldn't turn off the water) but the owner tried to be helpful and offered to hire an repairman right away.
- Abdul (5/5): I feel the house should be upgraded - the view wifi and aircond not working
the towel and whole house not really clean
- Georgina (8/5): Characterful apartment with amazing views! - This apartment was a charming find - traditionally furnished with interior stone features an absolutely stunning views of the castle and surrounding Kerak valley, even all the way to the Dead Sea on a clear morning. Kitchen and bathroom are basic but quite serviceable - the beds firm but comfortable. The apartment is a little way out from the old town of Kerak (less than a kilometre but up some steep hills) so best you don't try walking from the restaurant of the same name, which is right by the castle. Excellent value for money, at the price we paid, however. Also, the hosts were easy to contact with any queries and super responsive - and we had a great meal at dinner. During our stay neither the air conditioning nor the wifi worked - we were assured both would be fixed in the coming days, but it was not in time for our stay, unfortunately.
- Ella (10/5): Stunning views and wonderful friendly owner. - The location and view is absolutely incredible and the owner is wonderful. Right by the castle and they also have a restaurant close by with the same name which we would highly recommend.
- Piergiorgio (7/5): The view - Wonderful view of the castle and the countryside till Dead Sea. The owner and his son were extremely attentive and kind. AC didn't work. Wifi not always working.
- Altaf (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mohammed (10/5): Friendly host, charming place, beautiful sunset, great price to value ratio. I will come back! - Me and my brothers had an amazing time here. Words cannot express my gratitude to the amazing host who was always available to help us! He was such a nice, welcoming and friendly man who showed us incredible hospitality.
I'm so happy I gave this place a chance because honestly it blew all my expectations out of the water! I have travelled to 45 countries as of the date of this review and one of the BEST sunsets I've ever witnessed was from this place, absolutely incredible!
10/10! 5 STAR ***** SERVICE!!! Nothing. Everything was super good!
