• Luc (9/5): Our Little Piece of Paradise in Mérida - Casa Tres Colibríes immediately made us feel welcome thanks to the warm hospitality and relaxed atmosphere created by Gio, the perfect host. The property itself is beautiful and has been renovated with a lot of taste and attention to detail. Located about a 15-minute walk from the main square, it offers a peaceful retreat while still being close enough to explore the historic center easily. The patio and pool area are simply amazing — a true oasis in the middle of Mérida — and the rooftop at sunset is the perfect place to unwind after a day in the city. Breakfast is a simple continental buffet, but fresh, good, and perfectly fitting the laid-back atmosphere of the place. We truly felt we had found our own little piece of Mérida paradise here.
• Jörg (10/5): Zauberhaft - Fangen wir bei der herzlichen Gastgeberin Giovanna und Daniel an. Wir wurden herzlich und liebevoll empfangen. Bei einem erfrischenden Willkommensgetränk erzählte uns Giovanna einiges zum Haus und unterstützte uns bei unseren Plänen für die Tage in Merida. Daniel immer aufmerksam, offen für ein Gespräch und Hilfsbereit bei jeder Situation. Er hat uns an den zwei Tagen an den wir hier waren ein schönes Frühstück gezaubert. Die gesamte Anlage ist wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail hergerichtet. Von den Farben der Wände über den Garten mit Pool, die herrliche Empfangshalle bis hinzu den traumhaften Zimmern. Merida Centrum ist von hieraus fußläufig erreichbar. Die Zimmer die Bäder usw. waren sehr sauber die Betten sind super zum schlafen. Wir reisen viel durch die Welt, und ich, als auch meine Begleiter haben selten sowas wie hier erlebt. Wir waren vor 4 Jahren im spanischen Merida im Casa Rural. Es war dort ähnlich zauberhaft. • MP_GB (10/5): Great location and very comfortable place to stay. - The location was perfect, easy walk to the centre. The room was large with our own patio area and quite. Staff all very helpful. Breakfast was good and chance to meet other people staying and exchange ideas on eating out and places to visit. Every thing was fine.

• Anna-Theresa (10/5): when you want to feel like home, come here !!! - Everything was perfect, giovanna and daniel made our stop at merida perfectly. giovanna were very kind and gave us a very warm welcome from the beginning to the end of our stay. it felt like visiting friends on the other side of the world :) giovanna recommended very good tips for us (free events, beach, cantina and restaurants etc). the room where very clean and had all we wanted. the garden and the casa were beautiful. there was a large pool and you could use it everytime. the breakfast was made with love from daniel, he did his best to speak with us in english. thanks for that! if we come back, we would stay here again to get a cute día de muertos doll from the host 😎🫶🏻 there is nothing to say

Giovanna und Daniel waren unglaublich lieb und hilfsbereit und wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Giavanna hat uns auch viele Empfehlungen für Merida (Restaurants, Bars, Sehenswürdigkeiten, Cenoten usw.) gegeben. Es war alles super :)

Vom ersten Moment an hat mich das Haus mit seiner liebevoll, kunstvollen Ausstattung inspiriert. Giovanna ist eine phantastische Gastgeberin, die mit Leib und Seele (und ständig erreichbar 👍🏼) für ihre Gäste da ist. Daniel unterstützt sie mit viel Herz; man spürt: er ist die gute Seele im Haus. Das Frühstück wird schön angerichtet und war immer sehr lecker. Die Ruhe am wunderschönen Pool war phantastisch. Ich wäre sehr gern geblieben.
• Theo (10/5): First choice for our next visit to Merida - The location is excellent, on a relatively quiet street just a few blocks from Centro and from Pasejo Montejo. Our room was huge and comfortable. The courtyard, pool, and interior common areas are beautiful and Giovanna is such a friendly welcoming host that we ended up extending our planned 2 night stay to 6 nights after arrival. Casa Tres Colibries will be our first choice for lodging should I return to Meridda again. We didn't have a car, but other guests we spoke with at breakfast did and said they had no difficulty finding parking on the street outside.

Au surplus, un décor de rêve et une piscine bien fraîche pour terminer les journées passées sous le soleil de Mérida. Localisation parfaite également, à proximité des lieux à visiter, de la gare d'autocars et de l'aéroport.
• Rodgers (10/5): Home away from home, in gorgeous setting! - Giovanna and Daniel made us feel so welcome, it was like staying with friends - in their super beautiful, spacious home! They were always available for any questions or requests. Breakfast was great, lots of selection, and the option to chat with fellow guests at the family table. The house itself is gorgeous - high ceilings, open spaces, open to the outdoors but cool enough to escape the heat, and a nice pool retreat in the back! Beds were comfy and AC worked great. Nice neighbourhood, with coffee shops, restaurants and bars close enough but no noise. Would definitely come back if we're lucky enough to visit Merida again.

The room was well equipped, the large bed very comfortable, the shower excellent. Being able to sit and read by the pool away from the afternoon heat was a bonus. Only about 15 minutes walk from the main square.l Nothing, apart from leaving.

• Horton (10/5): Great stay in Merida - excellent CASA operated by just wonderful folks. - Giovanni and Daniel were superb hosts. The room was spacious, very clean, and very quiet. The pool was a great place to relax and refresh ourselves. Breakfast was excellent, hearty and unlimited fresh coffee and juice. Relatively close to everything and the streets were well lit at night... we felt very safe and secure. Would highly recommend this 'Casa' to anyone. Best way to finish our forty day trek through the Yucatan and environs.

• Karen (10/5): Experience beautiful "real" Mexico in gorgeous home hosted by Amazing Giovana - WOW! Giovana, the owner, and Daniel, her assistant attended to every need we had! The BnB is in a fabulous huge building with beautiful gardens, a lap pool, a terrace, a patio, and so much more! It is decorated with arts and crafts from all over Mexico - absolutely stunning! Our room, the only one in the original house was HUGE!!! It consisted of 3 separate rooms, a sitting room , huge bedroom, and large bathroom. Absolutely extraordinary! Giovana spent time chatting with each visitor, was very helpful and absolutely wonderful! Daniel prepared an extensive "continental" breakfast that left us more than satisfied. There are so many rare touches - for example, there is a water filtration system available for filling water bottles, etc. which was exceptionally helpful. We felt almost like family to Giovana; Tres Colibries is one of, if not THE, most wonderful place to stay, from all of our many varied travels. PLUS - it is very well-located to walk to the heart of town and other interesting neighborhoods. And it is totally safe to walk at night!!! Can't think of a thing? Perhaps that we had to leave after only 3 nights!!!

Great place to see the sights of Merida and the surrounding area, but also a fantastic spot just to chill by the pool. Highly recommended. Perfect. Nothing to complain about from us. • James (10/5): - From the minute we arrived we felt like we had known Giovanna and Daniel for years. One of the most welcoming places we have ever stayed. The location is excellent and walkable to many of the things you will want to visit and see. There are abundant shops markets and supermarkets for whatever you require. The hotel is quiet and relaxed and the pool is beautiful. The only thing I can think of is that we did not have the chance to stay longer. Definitely would enjoy returning someday.

• David (10/5): Casa Tres Colibries, a touch of paradise in beautiful Mérida. - Casa Tres Colebries is not a luxury high-end hotel, but it is a beautifully appointed B&B reflecting a colorful Mexican heritage. Most of the rooms are small and basic but they have everything you need. But the common areas, patio, and swimming pool gardens are absolutely beautiful to sit, relax, and enjoy. Best of all are the hostess, Giovanna, and her right hand man, Daniel. Having been raised in Houston, she speaks flawless English, is friendly and gracious, and is always available if you have questions, need suggestions for sightseeing, or any other helpful information. And each morning Daniel prepares a delicious breakfast of a variety of fresh fruits, cheese, bread, yogurt, granola, deli meats, juice, coffee and tea, more than enough to get you started on a full day. Giovanna and Casa Tres Colebries was the highlight of our week in Mérida. By the way, Mérida is an extremely safe city, safe to walk the streets any time, day or night. The walk to the central plaza is a bit over a half mile over uneven and sometimes narrow sidewalks, but an Uber ride is only $2-$3, so that's what we usually did.

• Vas (10/5): An exceptional casa experience - OK, people, hear me out; this is an 11 out of 10. The casa offers great balance of impeccable, professional service and deeply personalised treatment. Giovanna and Daniel are just great and nothing seems to be too much hussle for them. The garden and the swimming pool area are dead gorgeous, while the casa is spotless clean. No need to look elsewhere in Merida for a comfortable and memorable stay. I have asked them to adopt me and I am waiting to see whether they will let me stay at the casa indefinately. Une casa si chaleureuse, authentiquement décorée et avec beaucoup de plantes et de fleurs, spacieuse, tenue de façon exceptionnelle par Giovanna et Danielle. Nous avions la Suite Junior pour 3 nuits, ce fut incroyablement confortable et immense pour 2 personnes. Petit déjeuner très varié, emplacement excellent ( à 10 min à pied du centre) nous avons trouvé du stationnement sur la rue facilement à tous les jours, mais ce qui retiendra notre souvenir, c’est la gentillesse de Giovanna, sa générosité dans ses conseils et suggestions et sa passion d’être aux petits soins auprès des voyageurs afin de s’assurer qu’ils soient confortables et heureux ! Même après notre départ , Giovanna nous a transmis d’autres infos. Cet endroit est à recommander les yeux fermer. Absolument rien !

• Osnat (10/5): A unique beautiful home to stay in Merida with a host that goes way beyond to attend to her guests ! - The moment we walked into Casa Tres Colibries we felt at home. We arrived late evening and Giovanna was there to greet us and give us a nice cold drink and give tips about Merida. The hosting was beyond superb. Any request, any query immediately answered with warmth and understanding. In all my traveling experience which is extensive I haven’t had such a wonderful warm reception anywhere in the world . As Giovana said to us ‘ Mi Casa su Casa’ which proved to be absolutely the experience we had. The Casa itself is gorgeous beautifully decorated . Every corner is visually pleasing and the pool area is stunning and very relaxing. Beds were comfortable and breakfast which was included was delicious and filled us up so we didn’t need to eat till much later. Staying at this Casa in Merida was an absolute unique and wonderful experience. We will be back for sure Nothing

Daniel, l'homme à tout faire, connaît bien toute la région Maya autour de Mérida et se fait un plaisir de partager son savoir. À 20 min du Centro et 5 min d'un petit marché de quartier, l'hôtel est très bien situé et l'environnement est calme.

• Helene (10/5): - What an oasis in the middle of Merida! It is such a beautiful house, so lovingly decorated and smelt wonderful! Giovanna and Daniel were the sweetest, most generous hosts we have ever experienced, it truly felt like they loved hosting people. We stayed in the king room at the back of itself, which was huge and bordered on to its own private patio. The place is also within 15 mins walk of Merida centre, but also with some amazing local bars and restaurants within 5-10 mins walk. Cannot recommend this place enough!

• Chantalle (9/5): Goed - De kamer was huge, met een grote zitkamer en een grote badkamer (met prima douche). Daarom was het eigenlijk best gek dat er een queensize bed stond. Er was ruimte genoeg voor een groter bed. Bed zelf was wel goed. Ontbijt was geweldig, in een prachtige ruimte met een buffet waar je kon pakken wat je wilde. En best lekkere koffie. Eigenaresse en haar rechterhand (namen ben ik kwijt) zijn superaardig en attent. Hebben allerlei tips en zij is van het gezellige praatje. Hele gebouw is met zorg aangekleed, ook buiten (behalve dan de nepbloemen op het dakterras:)). Zwembad is fijn - maar het stikt er van de muggen. Overdag ook, zodat je niet buiten kan ontbijten. Jammer, want ook die ruimte is prachtig. De locatie. Het is echt een kwartier lopen naar het centrum.

• Ursula (10/5): Perfekt. Jederzeit wieder. - Die Casa Tres Colibries ist ein wunderschönes Haus mit zwei Patios, einem Pool und einer Terrasse. Mein Zimmer war liebevoll eingerichtet und Giovanna hat mir viele hilfreiche Tipps gegeben.
• Kylian (10/5): Un petit coin de paradis au cœur de Merida - C'est un logement exceptionnel, la piscine est magnifique et permet un vrai repos après des journées de visites. La chambre est immense et tres propre. Giovanna et Daniel sont très gentils, de bons conseils, de chouettes anecdotes, on se sent comme à la maison. Le petit dejeuner est le meilleur de notre séjour ! Merci pour ce moment. Les moustiques mais Giovanna et Daniel font tout pour limiter les attaques, les infrastructures sont aussi pensées pour limiter leurs entrées.

Die Chefin und ihre rechte Hand Daniel sind super herzliche Menschen die einen Aufenthalt in Mérida zu was besonderen machen. • marja (10/5): Geweldige kamer op een goede locatie. - De eigenaresse en haar hulp zijn ontzettend aardig. Ze geven veel informatie en maken altijd een praatje. Het is een geweldig mooi gebouw en de suite is super mooi met hoge plafonds. Onrbijt is goed verzorgd. Fijn zwembad erbij om af te koelen na een warme dag. Parkeren aan de straat is geen probleem. • vanja.ka (10/5): The most amazing b&b experience in Merida! - Just like other reviews said, staying here was the highlight of our trip. Giovanna is running this b&b with so much love, and one surely feel that as a guest. We even got an upgrade since it was our honeymoon and stayed in a beautiful room with 6m high ceilings and original colonial interior, we loved it! Daniel, the housekeeper, is the friendliest person ever, he served amazing breakfast for us (we got Yucatan avocados straight out of the garden, delicious) and taught us some Mayan words. Both Giovanna and Daniel provided so many tips for our time in Merida, and were always available for whatever we needed. Would definitely stay there again, and again 🙂🙂🙂

Frondosa y fresca la vegetación; resumiendo, daba pena salir del alojamiento para visitar algo por muy interesante que fuese. El desayuno es sencillo, pero de excelentes materias primas y abundantes. • Rory (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at Casa Tres Colibres was one of the highlights of our trips to Mexico. Giovanna and Daniel were extremely warm hosts and made our stay really special. The house is beautiful and the area around the pool is a perfect place to relax after a day exploring! Little bit less central than we expected, but the centre is still walkable and there is a good market nearby where we had some delicious food.

• Irina (10/5): A jewel in Merida - Very stylish and comfortable accommodation (more like a home than a hotel) in a safe neighborhood not far from city center with friendly and hospitable owner and manager on site. Amazing, super clean and very well looked after colonial style building. Wonderful breakfast served when you are ready (within the breakfast hours). The place and people make you feel like you are a very welcome. Beautiful inner yard under mango trees and swimming pool area surrounded by tropical plants. Super comfy accommodation and very helpful people!

• Stefan (10/5): Don’t book anywhere else - Casa Tres Colibres set a high standard for the rest of our trip. We were made to feel like welcomed family from the minute we walked in through the doors. Location is a 10-15 minute walk from major attractions and sites in Merida. House is beautifully decorated in colonial Mexican motif. There is lots of space on the property to move about. The pool is a fantastic addition and the breakfast is plentiful with lots of delicious fruits, breads, pastries, ham and cheeses. Most importantly, Giovanna and Daniel are amazing hosts and caretakers of the property and their guests.

• Melis (10/5): Exceptional - I just wrapped up a four-day stay here, and honestly, it felt like I was right at home. This spot is a true hidden gem. From the moment I arrived (and mind you, I got in at midnight), Giovanna was incredible. She’s the owner and just the nicest person—so welcoming and always making sure I was okay, giving great tips about the city too. The casa itself? Gorgeous. It’s got this beautiful courtyard and unique decor that creates such a special vibe. My room was spacious, super clean, and I even had my own terrace (which was a fantastic bonus!). The place looks even better in person than in the photos. Location-wise, it’s perfect. It’s pretty central, but still peaceful, and you can easily walk to some great restaurants and bars. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re heading to Mérida. Many thanks again Giovanna for everything!
• Christine (10/5): I stayed in several places on this trip, Casa Tres Colibries was by far my favorite! - It’s a gorgeous B&B, meticulously kept. Giovanna and Daniel are wonderful! The location is terrific - in an historic neighborhood, Santiago. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the central square - buses go everywhere and run continuously. I have nothing negative to say about this B&B.
• Joan (10/5): A little bit of heaven in Mérida Centro. - Everything was wonderful. Joanna and Daniel made us feel welcome from the get go. Both went out of their way to make sure we were well taken of. The bnb is beautiful. We had the king suite which was large and had its own private patio. Some of the rooms are very small but I think that is irrelevant as you have access to the whole living area, rooftop terrace and pool. Breakfast is called continental but is not just a piece of toast and coffee. It includes pastries, cheese, cold meat, fresh fruit, granola, yoghurt, juice and coffee and tea. All in all very tasty.

• Kim (10/5): We would stay here again, happily. - Giovanna, the owner, was so welcoming and helpful. By the end of the stay she felt like family. The Bed and Breakfast was beautiful and much larger than it appears from the outside. We stayed in the Junior suite and were very comfortable. Working air-conditioning and a ceiling fan gave us a respite from the heat outside. The pool was a plus. We were busy while we were in Merida, but could easily have just relaxed in the accommodations and been happy. Lovely basic continental breakfast. Abundant and wholesome. Local fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, cheese and cold cuts and toasted bread available, and of course, pan dulce, coffee and juice. All good.

We loved everything about the place - the coziest garden ever, comfortable bed, nice breakfast and the mansion itself is very authentic!
