- ANAMARIA LOREDANA (4/5): - I rated the location, cleanliness, and staff positively. However, the overall experience was disappointing and below the standards of a 4-star hotel.
The room door did not close properly, allowing visibility from the hallway, which affected privacy. The bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned, as there were hair strands left in the shower. I also reported that the heating was not working, but unfortunately, the staff showed no interest in fixing the problem.
Breakfast was very limited and repetitive every day: boiled eggs, three types of cheese, one cold cut, bread, butter and jam in very small portions. There were no fruits, cereals, or yoghurt, which is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel.
I chose this hotel mainly because it advertised a sauna and a swimming pool, even though it is 8 km from the city centre, but I could not use these facilities at all as they were reportedly out of order.
Another issue was the minibar deposit, which was never explained at check-in. I paid it, did not consume anything, yet the deposit was not refunded. I was told to contact Booking and send proof of payment for a later verification. Additionally, the minibar was incomplete upon arrival, and despite reporting this immediately and having photo and video evidence, I was still blamed for missing items.
Overall, this stay was a major disappointment, and I would not recommend this hotel. First picture with the complete mini bar , second picture with the incomplete mini bar !

But this hotel doesn't meet any standards of human habitation. I booked a large double room, and the photos on Booking.com looked acceptable. It seems this hotel hired professional photographers to make it look presentable, but in reality, it was all a lie. I got a room unfit even for animals. The furniture was filthy, smelled musty, and the breakfast they served should be closed and not served to humans. And that's not even mentioning the staff; they are some of the most disgusting people you'll ever deal with. They are rude, they lie, they won't deal with you at all. They don't respond to calls and they steal money from guests. Truly one of the worst experiences of my life. I would never recommend it. I would only recommend it as a place for animals.

- Fabio (3/5): TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - Molto poco, La stanza: la porta del bagno era un disastro sia se aperta verso l'infuori, bloccando l'accesso dal letto che verso l'interno, non dando l'accesso al lavandino (foto), il termostato non era regolabile e di notte faceva freddo, ma era fornita solo una coperta, tra l'altro bucata (foto).
-Il buffet della colazione aveva solo carne di scarsa qualità tutti i giorni (wurstel fritti etc.; foto), inoltre a mezz'ora dalla chiusura non sostituivano più le portate vuote.
-Quando sono arrivato il receptionist invece di prestarmi attenzione stava litigando con un altro cliente e quando mi ha chiesto la cauzione in euro per gli eventuali prodotti che avrei preso dal frigo (non ne avevo alcuna intenzione), mi ha ridato il resto in lire turche.
-La TV in camera non era utilizzabile e attorno a essa è stato piazzato uno specchio (foto).
-La SPA non è mai stata attiva nonostante due del personale mi abbiamo detto che lo sarebbe stata in due giorni diversi.
-Il 3 gennaio ci sono stati 5 blackout che mi hanno impedito di lavorare.
-L'ultimo giorno prima della partenza non c'era neanche l'acqua calda per fare la doccia: voglio un risarcimento almeno parziale e non ci andrò MAI PIU'!!!

In the room cca 3 beds, between the middle bed and the eight bed the room was 30cm, the leftmost bed didnt have a bed lamp.
The bathroom door you couldnt lock and iz was cold all the time.
In the room the heating didnt work.
After five Days and three Times saying to the staff that iz doesnt work they changed our room to 1107 in which there were no bed lamps and the Window kept opening on its own.
The food was the same everyday and the taste was dull.
In general the Hotel doesnt deserve four stars it deserves only two stars.
I Will never come back to this hotel the staff was rude with one exceptions that helped us change rooms.
Im not recommending this hotel to anyone.

Not cooperative & I found a couple of Bed Bugs in room 708 which spoiled my entire happiness of the stay in this Hotel Room OMG
The staff still was not ready of compromise or to compensate me at all with a different room neither they refunded my money for the next day stay nor they provided me the new mattress at all so I had to sleep the second day also with the same Bed Bugs mattress & I eve have showed the 5 videos of both ugly mettress to their staff & hotel reception they even not bother to come upstairs with me to check the room mattress or to relive the issue at its priority. Very much Fed-up today.

Dieses Hotel war für uns ein absoluter Albtraum und hat unseren Aufenthalt in Istanbul massiv belastet.
Unsere Idee war es, spontan Silvester in Istanbul zu verbringen. Die Buchung über Booking verlief zunächst problemlos und wurde vom Hotel bestätigt. Doch einen Tag vor der Abreise änderte das Hotel ohne Vorwarnung unsere Buchung und verschob sie um einen ganzen Tag. Auf mehrere Kontaktversuche meinerseits reagierte das Hotel überhaupt nicht. Auch Booking habe ich kontaktiert, erhielt jedoch aufgrund der Feiertage bis heute keine Rückmeldung. Uns blieb nichts anderes übrig, als kurzfristig ein weiteres Hotel als Notlösung zu buchen – zusätzliche Kosten, Stress und verlorene Nerven inklusive.
Bei der Ankunft im Hotel ging das Chaos weiter: 20 Minuten vor der offiziellen Check-in-Zeit wurde uns der Zugang verwehrt – begleitet von sehr unfreundlichem Personal. Wir gingen daraufhin essen und kehrten eineinhalb Stunden später zurück, konnten aber immer noch nicht einchecken. Uns wurde erklärt, dass andere Gäste bereits seit dem Morgen warten würden. Währenddessen beschwerten sich andere Hotelgäste über kaltes Wasser. Das vermittelte bereits einen sehr schlechten Eindruck.
Erst nachdem wir selbst deutlich ungehalten wurden, durften wir endlich einchecken. Man teilte uns mit, wir hätten nun ein „sehr gutes Zimmer“ im obersten Stock mit Aussicht erhalten. Die Realität: Das Zimmer war eiskalt. Die Klimaanlage wurde lustlos eingestellt mit dem Hinweis, sie brauche Zeit. Als wir später erneut darauf hinwiesen, dass es weiterhin nicht warm sei, bekamen wir einfach eine zweite Stromkarte mit der Aussage, dann würde sich das Zimmer aufheizen. Tat es nicht.
Als wir nachts zurückkamen, war das Zimmer immer noch kalt – wir mussten mit Jacken unter den Decken schlafen.
Das Frühstück war sehr schlecht und äußerst überschaubar.

2° - I had a reservation for a triple room, they asked me if I was alone, I said yes, they gave me a double room without informing me. Only when I got to the room did I realize it wasn't what I had booked, and they said that the rooms were the same price and they wouldn't refund me for the night. There were other guest on the reception with the SAME ISSUE!
3rd - Some of the reception staff do not speak English.
4th - The bathroom in the room had broken shower doors and dripping taps.
5th - The notepad had things written on it by the previous guest saying it was a ver bad hotel and the Room was dirty on the floors
6th - The bed was uncomfortable.

Let me explain to you as I really very very disappointed with you as your service. When we arrive late night and they provied our room and show us room but we really very shockiert and very small room as not match my order booked. Unfortunately few day later big problem because they block us card by room attend and I walk to reception what happens room. They said we can't attend room as SACK OUT. Need 4 star remove off and become 2 or 3 star. It's not true 4 star. Also there are a lot damage. Example leak of water in room , no level floor properly , very poor organisation staff , no respect staff , pool is very cold , sauna is not working, breakfast is really no good most all time old 1 or 2 day same ,

another big thanks to the same team when I was sick in bed, for the night receptionist/under manager who went above and beyond and checked I was OK and brought ginger 🫚 for tea and checked the next day I was OK.
They also helped me when the taxi driver got lost 😂
The morning restaurant guys are smart, funny, extremely polite (even when one didn't feel great himself) including the wonderfully dressed manager, who sometimes looks grumpy but he has the best smile underneath it. The breakfast was just what you need, boiled eggs, great mix of cheese, French toast, vegatables . The restaurant is clean, well thought out and you can pick your own food, and fresh breads etc.
Unfortunately, I missed out the last few days due to being unwell, so didn't get to say thank you to the team.
I spent 18 days at the hotel and there is some work being done in places but it didn't bother me 1 bit, no noise.
I loved this hotel and all it's funny quirks. For me, the staff/people are the heart of a place, don't ever lose your heart Monarch Hotel, I miss you already. ❤️.
The area has everything you need and there are many food and drink places, at the side of the hotel there is even a Korean Restaurant.
You honestly couldnt want more, so close to everything Can't think of anything, just go with the flow.

Surtout une femme à la réception qui porte des lunettes et a les cheveux mi long châtains prête à laisser 3 femmes dehors dans la nuit à cause d’un désaccord alors qu’elle même est une femme vraiment honte à elle, très aigris et lorsqu’on lui pose une question on a l’impression de la déranger mais c’est son travail finalement. Mais sinon un jeune homme et une autre femme de la réception sont vraiment super. Quant à l’hôtel les chambres sont raisonnables, même si la femme de ménage ne fait pas son travail elle faisait que les lits mais le sol n’était jamais fais et et elle aussi est aigris,même un bonjour était compliqué, elle s’est aussi permise de jeter des choses qui n’étaient pas sensé aller à la poubelle et lorsqu’on allait se plaindre à la réception bah on nous disait qu’ils allaient faire seulement passer le mot. Je ne préfère même pas parler du petit déjeuner vous seriez outré. Enfin voilà fuyez cet hôtel.

- Ramazan (1/5): Very very bad!!!! - Het was zeer slecht! I had a very bad experience at this property. The rooms were extremely damp, with visible mold all over the walls. The wall behind the toilet was completely yellow, the wallpaper was coming off, and the overall condition of the room was unacceptable.
The bathroom ventilation did not work at all, and there was no proper air extraction, which made the situation even worse. The room felt unhealthy and poorly maintained.
We asked to change rooms because of these issues, but we were not helped at all. The staff was not friendly or accommodating, which made the experience even more frustrating.
The rooms were in very poor condition, the view was terrible, and the overall stay was simply awful. The food was also very disappointing, the breakfast had very little choice and was of low quality.
We booked for three days, but we left earlier because we could not stay any longer. Despite this, we did not receive any refund at all, even though the conditions were unacceptable.
Now it is clear why this place is very cheap: nothing was good.
I would not recommend this property to anyone.

- Olena (1/5): Maybe in summer time can be good , but not fir a winter visit - The rooms are quite dated, featuring worn furniture and home accessories. The bathroom has mold and is cold. The room itself is also chilly, as half of the walls consist of windows that fail to retain heat during winter. Additionally, the old air conditioner does not effectively provide heating. Due to these issues, I decided to check out of the hotel just 20 minutes after my arrival.

Только очень сильно шумно, так как нет изоляции от шума. И в номере прохладно, берите с собой что-нибудь теплое для сна, если будете там зимой. Есть чайник и холодильник в номере. Приносят каждый день воду, убирают и меняют полотенца. Уборщицы очень приветливые. В отеле очень сыро. Очень сильно маленькая ванная комната. Стены покрыты грибами. И постоянный запах сырости. Краны протекают так сильно, что на полу всегда лужа воды. Есть одна стеклянная полка, но ею пользоваться нельзя, так как она сильно шатается. Полотенца не новые, но чистые. Я читала отзывы перед поездкой, поэтому у меня были свои полотенца, но это было не обязательно.
Шумоизоляции нет. Слышно всё, что на улице и внутри отеля. Персонал не приветливый.
