- Jean-Sebastien (5/5): - Nice secluded quiet spot on the beach The advertisement and the prize are far from reflecting the reality of the place
- ROS (7/5): UNA MERAVIGLIOSA LOCATION - La.
- Tomasz (9/5): A nice, peaceful hostal for budget travellers - This is a simple, but very nice budget hostal. Located in the front of a long, beautiful beach. A very quiet place far away from mass tourism. Friendly staff. Strongly recommended for budget travellers looking for a peaceful refuge. The conditions are simple, but you cannot expect nothing more for this price.
- Ruud (9/5): Prachtige locatie, rust, natuur en eenvoud - Locatie is prachtig!
De rust
Sterke wifi
Vriendelijk personeel
Leuke restaurantjes op 10min lopen
- Clive (10/5): Relaxing and peaceful, perfect to feel alive - Great location , homely place Everything was so nice, perfect
Nasa long beach :)
- Natalie (8/5): Fantastic location and staff, off the beaten path stay - Isolated and quite, staff we fantastic, great facilities Beds were thin foam mattress but told the owner and he says he is upgrading them
- Rogers (10/5): Exceptional - I was ill, and they checked on me, bringing food. Location on secluded beach with great views. If you want somewhere away from the tourist hubs this is it.
- Richard (7/5): Good -
- Marie (10/5): Home away from home — very warm and cozy 🫶🏻 - From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in good hands. I had a little situation with my suitcase and needed a few things right away, the hosts didn’t hesitate for a second. They helped me out immediately, even before I had officially checked in, which honestly meant the world to me after a long trip.
Since I was traveling solo (and I’m a bit of a scaredy-cat), I asked if they could tweak a few things in the room to make me feel more comfortable. Again, no questions asked, they took care of it right away and made sure I felt safe and at ease.
Also, I showed them a photo of a dish I was craving, and to my surprise, they offered to cook it for me without hesitation. It’s those small but incredibly thoughtful gestures that made this stay so special.
The place itself is peaceful and calming, perfect for a quiet escape. They are still doing some rebuilding around the property, so just something to be aware of, but it never got in the way of the experience. And the high-speed internet was such a bonus, I was able to stay connected with no issues.
This stay felt like more than just accommodation. It felt like being genuinely cared for. I’m so grateful for the experience and can’t wait to return specially once all the upgrades are complete.
- Villegas (10/5): You have to visit this place! - Iván y Wen the hosts of the hotel, were incredibly, the attention and the service! It was a perfect paradise.
The food, the breakfast, actually everything was incredible!
And the beach, huge and just for the people of the hotel, it’s a fisherman place!
Ivan also help me with the tour plan to visit some islands, the tour was amazing!! Food and drinks where included, incredible tour to visit the San Vicente Islands.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (9/5): Terrific Beachfront Economy Hostel - If you want a pleasant, quiet, beach front hostel without the horrible crowds of El Nido, then this is the place. Ivan, the manager, is a terrific young host who will help you any way he can. I taught him how to poach eggs, so make sure you request poached eggs on toast for breakfast. :-)
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Rondot (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vaidotas (10/5): The place itself is definitely not five-star level, but well maintained and suitable for those who want to discover! By - The beautiful beach, practically devoid of people apart from the fishermen working in the morning, makes it even more fascinating to get to know the Filipino way of life. There are diving spots with turtles around and reef, and plankton can be observed at night (if it's dark enough). Long beach, so there's plenty of room for romantic, out-of-sight meetings. I really enjoyed it, it's a pity that only one night was planned.
Very polite and friendly staff, with the owner himself cooking! A Filipino dinner and breakfast was prepared at our request - very tasty!
The owner was happy to answer all our questions about life in the Philippines and helped us to make and adjust our itinerary, which worked out well. I missed the glasses in my room, but they were provided immediately on request. The houses look old from the outside, but have been well renovated inside.
- Keith (10/5): Fresh seafood and Great internet speed! - The location was nice it was perfectly situated in the first kilometer of the south wing of longbeach. We were alone chilling on the beach the place has just open their restaurant recently as we spoke with the owner they said that they have just took over the place and have renovated things since then. So not until recently they were able to open the restaurant but they already have the facilities. In front of the beach there's a regular fisherfolks that delivers freshly caught fish and lobsters which they served to us. Food is great, Staff are nice, and the assistance of the owner is top notch. I'd stay again! there are some flaws because the place is old but the new management is trying their best to make you experience great things. We rented a bike and got to see the viewpoints where you most probably pay high price if you took it as an arranged land tour. But the owner gave us a guided itinerary that he put on our maps which gave us the advantage of experiencing the same tour but on a budget.
- Dylan (10/5): Beautiful Local Experience! - The best thing about the place is you really experience the locality you can join what they call the SALAP which is a community fishing where you pull a big net along with a lot of locals pulling each side and they give you a share of the catch as a reward. The hotel is so nice, it has a bit flaws because theres a change of ownership and the new management was a bit short of capital to change everything in one time. But they are more than willing to assist and help us with whatever we needed on the locality. Highly Recommended!
- Abao (10/5): Everything was nice✨ - The place was so good and refreshing, the staff were great and generous, there’s cute kittens, squirrels and lovely dogs around. The food was nice and tasty✨. The place is quiet and perfect for morning routine such as exercise, watching sunrise and morning walks 🤍🌴 Nothing at all✨
- Marie (6/5): If you want to explore the more authentic side of Palawan! GO HERE! Simple, Cute and beautiful! - - That remote feeling was nice.
- Not too many people on the site.
- Kind (new) owner.
- Beautiful beach.
- Quiet and peaceful.
- Cute Cafè in San Vicente town. - WC was manual with a bucket of water (our room was, maybe other rooms weren’t)
- Muddy road to the hotel if it have been raining.
- Leonidas (10/5): SEA TURTLES IN THE REEF JUST IN FRONT OF AMIHAN - Paradise by the beach, we only wanted to stay for 1 night at first. But when we saw the place we extended for 3 more nights thanks to Aivan for making our stay memorable and fun! Highly recommended if you want to experience peace in your own beach!
- Veryitchyfeet (1/5): Overpriced for what you DON'T get! - - The location is on a quiet stretch of Long Beach, away from the crowds and on a property which truly has a lot of potential with bungalows and little tents overlooking the sea as well as a large common area. It's truly tranquil and only a short 10-15 minute walk into town.
- The double bed is more like a king single, so whilst not ideal for a couple, it was still comfortable. This place has massive potential, but sadly the new and recent owner is juggling too many things at once and this has led to the guesthouse being poorly run. I have decided to give the guesthouse a 1 out of 10 because sometimes, writing a bad yet honest review is the ONLY way that people will take notice and make changes. More focus and less greed would help him immensely.
When we arrived, we were given a room with a private bathroom ... with no basin, a leaking toilet and an absolutely filthy air-conditioner filter ! I explained that this was unacceptable and so we were moved into another room that had a basin ... again with no tap, a toilet that was not working properly and a filthy air-conditioner filter . Totally unacceptable for the price we were paying.
I demanded to see the owner and we had a lengthy conversation around what had happened. I asked for a partial refund and explained that I was not going to pay for something that I was not getting! He agreed to the refund and acknowledged his error.
Two days later, however, we come back from a walk and the very room that we had been given on our first night was occupied once again. Nothing had been fixed or cleaned in that room! I could not believe it! That couple also complained, got their money back and left the next morning.
The young man who is the new owner, whilst having drive and ambition, does not properly oversee his business nor his staff, leading to a lazy, unkempt environment, with a vibe , as one recent reviewer put it, like Chernobyl! Empty beer bottles hanging around for days! Tables left unwiped!
His positive reviews do not come from people who love the place, but from people who feel bad about giving a bad review to an 'affable' person. Being nice, however, does not mean that your business is great! He seems greedy and more concerned about money. He just does not seem to care!
If you want a memorable stay in San Vicente, this is not the place for you!
- Marko (7/5): Remote hostel out of San Vincent - Staying ouside San Vincente by lonely long beach. The staying has basic necesseties, like toilet on hand flush, cold shower, free water and coffe, some drinks for buy. Wifi OK, with some black outs. 15 min walking from the village.
Clean room and nice to sleep white noise from the waves. Good for short stay. Can't say anything was wrong, just need to expect what you get.
- Suzanne (4/5): Disappointing -
- Rosie (1/5): Bad -
- Sergei (9/5): Cosy guesthouse with limited comfort in a beautiful location - Very picturesque and secluded location In the event of rain, the road to the hotel becomes unfit for walking
- Tanguy (7/5): Good - The real advantage of the establishment is that it is truly secluded in nature, with the nearest shops a 15-20 minute walk away.
Unfortunately, there is no restaurant as stated on Booking, and it is not always possible to have breakfast.
However, you can cook for yourself.
The hotel manager and her children are very kind.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lester (10/5): We had a really great time staying at this Hostel and got great input from Ivan about what to do in our sourrounding are - The Location is very beautiful with a lovely garden and the beach literally 50 feet from the dorms. There is plenty of space to chill out as well as we got to use the kitchen and the fridge. There were also a few little kittens and a puppy while we were staying there, very cute! The best part is Ivan, he’s an excellent host with plenty of knowledge about sourrounding hotspots, wich he’s eager to share with you/us. He and his wife are also both excellent chef’s as they cooked for us after we asked if they could make us dinner. Ivan got fresh fish from the market and prepared it for us. As we talked with Ivan we learned that he had only recently started with the idea of creating a Hostel. So some things are still a work in Progress. The AC is a little bit outdated, so it was a little warm during the night. Apart from that we really don’t have any complaints.
- Robert (10/5): Amazing and not a tourist trap. - Love this place, we only wish we spent more time in Sam Vicente, it’s a small township and beautiful, much better than port Barton and el Nido. Minimal tourists which is what we a looking for here. We will return and hopefully Ivan is still running this place. He’s such a nice guy who will accomodate everything to make you feel comfortable. We took our bike for a morning drive on long beach. It was incredible the scenery here is amazing. We couldn’t lock our door, we had issue with the lock.
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Radosław (7/5): I believe that if the owner fixes small issues with the bathroom and AC, the stay will be really good ! I recommend stay - The location is just great, it is at the start of the long beach with no other stays around. It’s truly amazing.
The owner is also super friendly and helpful. The AC could be cleaned and the bathroom could have been renovated a bit (missing handle on the tap and no toilet seat for example).
- Benedikt (10/5): Exceptional - The host was extremely nice and did everything he could to comfort us.
- Savannah (1/5): It was dissapointing. - The accomodation was in a realy bad condition. When whe arrived, they didn’t knew we booked a room and for how long. At that time they had to “clean” the room. When the room was “cleaned”, we got acces to a dirty room with mold on the tiles, there was no toilet seat, there was no running water from the sink tap, the airconditioning worked but smelled like urine. The bar was closed, so it was possible to use the kitchen to cook our own meals. Which was fine by me, ofcourse. Until we saw the kitchen, it was also very dirty and there was just one cooking stove working.
In advance we booked two nights, but we left after just one night and asked our money back. I don’t know why this accomodation gets a 9.5 at Booking.com, that’s really misleading.
- David (8/5): Very good - Host was great and helped alot with tours. & trancefers at very competitive prices.
Amazing location beachfront secluded and private with ability to meet locals go fishing with them or snorkle the headland .
Easy 10 minute walk to local fish & produce markets which had amazing produce..
Fantastic surf beach 30 minute scooter ride .
During our stay it was self catering or cook together with other guests which was really nice to meet new people and share palawan experiences.
Private tours to the family property with prestine rainforest and waterfalls amazing stay thankyou Aivan.
- Ursula (10/5): Unbeatable location - The location is 10/10. The staff and everyone there are so welcoming and accommodating! You basically have a private beach all to yourself. The vibes were so good No complaints, enjoyed everything!
