La posizione nel deserto di Agafay è magica e regala panorami mozzafiato, soprattutto al tramonto. Le camere sono eleganti, pulitissime e perfettamente integrate nell’ambiente circostante. Il personale è stato eccezionale: sempre sorridente, disponibile e attento a ogni dettaglio. La piscina e poi il terrazzo con vista sul deserto(e tramonto) è un vero angolo di paradiso e la cucina ha superato ogni aspettativa, con piatti deliziosi e un’atmosfera autentica e raffinata. Un luogo ideale per vivere il Marocco più suggestivo. Ma il vero valore aggiunto sono le persone che ci lavorano: sempre disponibili gentili e attenti a tutti i dettagli. Non riesco a trovare lati negativi. Tutto perfetto!

- Marvin (6/5): Wir haben für den Preis etwas mehr erwartet und vor allem hatten wir nicht das Gefühl ein 4 Sterne Niveau zu erhalten. - Sie war im Innenhof sehr schön eingerichtet, zudem war das Personal sehr bemüht und freundlich. Man hatte das Gefühl etwas an der Nase herum geführt zu werden, die Sauberkeit war bedürftig, neben meinem Bett lagen benutzte Ohropax, es gab nur einen Föhn für alle Besucher des Hotels. Man hat sich etwas genötigt gefühlt im Hotel zu essen oder etwas dort zu unternehmen.

Das Frühstück, die Lage ist absolut iim Nirgendwo, wenn man weg will muß man alles buchen. Dabei wurden unsere Reservierungen auch noch falsch zugeordnet. 1 Mitarbeiter von 5 sprach englisch!

There was a gentle peacefulness which offered the chance to completely switch off and escape the tourism found elsewhere. The staff were great, friendly and polite. The location stunning, and the communal areas and bedrooms very comfortable. Nothing.
- Marta (9/5): Pace e tranquillità nel deserto, in famiglia - Struttura molto bella, sembrava una cattedrale nel deserto, grandi spazi comuni che dà senso di famiglia. La cena con musica è stata fantastica, molto intimo. La presenza di animali e staff gentilissimo e molto divertente aggiunge ulteriore valore! Unica nota, ma che a onor del vero era stata assolutamente indicata per tempo da loro, è il costo dei servizi extra. Diciamo che non sono per nulla economici… ripeto, sono molto trasparenti nel dirlo però è anche vero che quando sei lì non hai alternative o ti adegui ai prezzi e servizi da loro proposti oppure non c’è modo di fare altro.

- Harriet (10/5): - Everything was fantastic. Staff were super friendly, helpful and fun. The hotel hosted an evening of free live music (two traditional Moroccan musicians). The music played before dinner and whilst we ate. Towards the end the staff danced to the music and some of the guests joined in. It was lovely to sit by the pool in the day time too. The hotel also had a beautiful traditional Moroccan aesthetic.
- Rudi (9/5): Bellissima esperienza tra deserto, quad e cammelli - Bellissima struttura che offre tanti servizi, tra cui gite in quad, escursioni con cammelli, corsi di cucina e altro. Lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile a soddisfare ogni richiesta. Durante la cena è stato proposto anche uno spettacolo musicale tipico del luogo che ci ha permesso di fare un'esperienza a 360 gradi. Il letto non era comodissimo, in quanto il materasso era scomodo e deforme.

La diversité des activités proposées (balade à chameaux, quad, atelier de poterie, tatouage au henné… Les animaux présents qui ont ravi nos filles (petits chats, tortue) Il n’y en a pas. Mais nous aurions aimé avoir un peu plus de diversité culinaire pour les enfants.
- Margaux (10/5): Magnifique séjour, loin du tourisme de masse - Très bel établissement situé dans le désert d’Agafay, offrant un cadre exceptionnel, calme et dépaysant, loin des structures trop touristiques de la région. Le personnel est particulièrement attentionné et disponible. La piscine (situé dans un bâtiment juste à côté) est un véritable oasis et particulièrement appréciée au vu des températures dans le désert. Nous recommandons également la cuisine (mention spéciale pour le petit-déjeuner), qui est faite avec des produits locaux, bios et sains (tout en conservant l'authenticité des recettes traditionnelles). Je recommande à 100% cet établissement pour un séjour dans le désert d'Agafay! Connexion wi-fi un peu instable (ce qui se comprend étant donné que l'hôtel est situé dans le désert)

- Fiona (10/5): A beautiful hotel in the Agafay Desert - We received a cheery welcome and were immediately delighted by the garden. The owners have created a beautiful oasis in the Agafay Desert. We were offered mint tea on the roof and took in the views of the nearby hills, a shepherd and his sheep. There had been rain recently and the desert was green. Our room was lovely - a triple room with enough walking space for the three of us. Very tasteful decor throughout the hotel. A bonus discovery was the pool, which I hadn't realised the hotel had. We swam and soaked up the afternoon sun before having dinner on the rooftop. Musicians accompanied our meal. The hotel has only a few rooms - so it felt intimate and the common areas were never busy or loud. We did two experiences and would recommend both - the sunset camel ride and village cooking class. The camels were waiting right at the front door, were in good health and treated gently by the camel drivers. The family who opened their home to us for a lunch cooking class were lovely. We prepared vegetable and chicken tagines, salad, enjoyed mint tea and sweets, bread in delicious local olive oil and went for a walk around the village whilst the tagine cooked. Great to see some real Moroccan life, meet a family and get off the tourist trail. To note: the area is full of other hotels/camps that look mass-produced and soulless. Some names I recognised from researching places to stay and could see that photos of their views would have been carefully taken to avoid other camps in shots. Basically, most of them look onto each other and have quad-bike paths right beside the tents. Agafay Desert Hotel is in its own little valley near a village overlooking grazing lands. You can tell care has been taken to build in the traditional style, reduce the environmental impact of tourism on the landscape, and employ local people where possible.

We booked activities through the hotel prior to our arrival and they were also very good. Highly recommend staying here, the experience felt very exclusive and away from the main Agafay crowd. - Amanda (10/5): A fabulous one night experience in the Agafay desert! - Agafay Desert hotel is a charm in the desert! We had a magical stay for one night, enjoying the beautiful, authentic and tranquil hotel and surroundings. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly! We loved our quad biking and camel riding experience organised by the hotel, and the camels were really well looked after. We har a beautiful view of the snow-capped Atlas mountains in the morning. The food menu was significantly overpriced for what it was.
- Boshjeeston (9/5): A picturesque place to stay with the most amazing staff - Staff were all extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help with anything you may need. The decor and colours of the hotel are amazing, and looks even better than in the photos. The food is delicious, and the musicians who played during our evening meals were very talented. This is by far the best place to stay when visiting Agafay, and I couldn't recommend it enough! Our bed was a little uncomfortable, but otherwise the room was great.

- Maren (8/5): Herrliches Wüstenhotel zum entspannen - Eine wunderbare Ruhe, Stille und Weite. Wir haben uns direkt sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten sehr gut entspannen. Ein traumhafter Blick. Super leckeres Essen zum satt werden, sogar auf meine Glutenunverträglichkeit wurde Rücksicht genommen und sich darauf, dass ich Vegetarierin bin. Das Personal trotz Ramadan sehr engagiert Kleinigkeiten die nicht der Rede wert sind. Matratze hätte besser sein können ;)
- Felice (8/5): - Het is een prachtige locatie maar als het heel koud en het regent dan is er heel weinig te doen. Daar kon het verblijf echter niks aan doen. Maar omdat ze daar weinig koud gewend zijn, was het lastig om de verblijven te verwarmen. Het personeel was erg aardig en gastvrij en deden er alles aan om het naar onze zin te maken. Als het prachtig weer is dan valt er weinig te verbeteren.

Fantastic environment and beautiful rooms - the warm atmosphere of the fireplace in the evening in the dining room was lovely! The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful! The dinner was delicious!

- Julia (9/5): - Sehr nettes Personal, wunderschöne Einrichtung und grosszügige Zimmer. Das Abendessen war etwas teuer im Vergleich zu anderswo. Das Frühstück aber sehr grosszügig.

- els (10/5): schitterend ingerichte aanrader op klein uurtje rijden van Marrakech ! - prachtige caravanserai (Foendoek) in de Agafay woestijn op een 45 min rijden van Marrakech vlieghaven. in het centrale verblijf, is een ruime binnenkoer gezellig ingericht met planten en bomen en overal hoekjes met poefen, kelims en tafeltjes. wij hadden een ruime ontzettend mooi ingerichte kamer op de enige en eerste verdieping. De vloer was bezaaid met kelims , mooie confortabele badkamer met originele douche. ook op de eerste verdieping zijn overal hoekjes om te zitten, ook eettafels, en twee overdekte salons. in een tweede apart gebouw, recht tegenover het hoofdgebouw, is een zwembad met een prachtige binnentuin. wij waren er op 11 januari en dit absoluut laagseizoen. we waren maar met twee koppels in het hotel, maar de jonge staf verzorgde ons tot in de puntjes. overal werden 's avonds kaarsen aangestoken, en in de eetkamer werd de openhaard aangemaakt. heel gezellige maaltijd met een originele Agafay burger en een lekkere fles Marokkaanse wijn. we werden vergast op een muziekaal half uurtje door enkele van de jonge stafleden, die er zichtbaar zelf ook van genoten. Normaal zouden we het ontbijt moeten missen (8.30u) omdat we onze vlucht moesten halen, maar de koffie en wat koekjes stonden om 7.30 u klaar. wij vonden het een enorme aanrader ! Wij waren heel graag nog langer gebleven !

- Rachel (9/5): Relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. - We liked the staff that are very accommodating, location, quirky rooms and the property itself. It also has a great vibe . We really enjoyed the activities - sunset camel ride and quad bikes. As expected WiFi was weak. There could be better food choice perhaps. But overall really cannot complain.
