- David Gowar (10/5): Simply the best... - Gorgeous cottage in an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful location. The interior is amazing - flagstone floors, thoughtful and appropriate decor, lovely comfortable bed, bathroom with beautiful bath and antique mirror I wanted to take home, endless hot water, great WiFi and TV, well appointed kitchen with gifts of biscuits and chocolates.. views to die for, sheep and cows to talk to... definitely the best place I've ever had the privilege of staying in for a short break. It was all amazing 🤩!

- Philip (10/5): A truly comfy visit. We will be back. - Location and comfy feel.
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was clean and cosy and had everything we need. On a beautiful farm and next to another bigger cottage. We didn’t hear much from the guests next door and was a peaceful area
- Shannon (10/5): Peaceful weekend away - Cosy, quiet and everything we needed. Gorgeous setting and lucky we had good weather. Great walks around.
- Layberry (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (10/5): Peaceful , relaxing short stay in a cottage that had everything we needed - Quiet , pretty cottage
- Daz (7/5): Good - We liked the cosiness of the cottage in an idyllic countryside location. The sole purpose of our break was to escape noisy neighbours and a hectic life.
However, on our third night, we had to endure an all night party in the cottage next door, hosted by the cottage owners themselves (the cottage is next door to a bigger one, both owned by the same host). We came away feeeling disappointed that our stay had been ruined and that we were more tired than we were before our trip.
The owners should have had the courtesy to mention they were planning a party in the neighbouring cottage before we arrived and given us the opportunity to rebook or cancel our stay.
We definitely would not stay here again and would advise anyone doing so to check that there are no parties planned if they are planning a supposedly quiet get away.
- Michelle (10/5): I can be a bit fussy, but I couldn’t fault this property if I tried. - I loved everything about the property. It was aesthetically and thoughtfully presented. The setting was so peaceful and relaxing . Perfect for a break from city life. Everything we needed was on hand. The host also provided a variety of herbs and spices to season our food. This for me was a very considerate touch. Having to go home
- Oconnell (10/5): Very cosy, welcoming cottage and host. Lovely pub just down road. Great views - Very little disturbance. We like to keep to ourselves and we were welcomed and made comfortable and left to our holiday. Hosts would make sure we were ok when we saw each other. Absolutely nothing.
- Norbert (10/5): Exeptional - Everything, it is an amazing place to stay. Great location. Nothing
- Pam (10/5): We had a lovely few days away and couldn’t have wished for anything more. - The cottage was just as on the photos! Absolutely beautiful and so homely too.
It was a joy to be amidst such beautiful countryside. I had read a review about the bed not being too good but take it from me who is very fussy the bed was extremely comfortable.
Very well equipped with crockery plates and pans. Nothing whatsoever.
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mathew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (8/5): Great little cottage, excellent host, helpful. Great location Quiet farm - Location No shower
- Clive (10/5): Idyllic - Bijou cottage, fully equipped with everything we needed. Fantastic location, away from everything, but within easy reach of village and Buxton. Very close to good walking trails (Mam Tor and the ridge is a must) The only thing we could find to criticise was that no tea towel was provided! If that's the worst thing, then you know it's excellent!
- Andrea (9/5): Enjoyed our stay for a few days en route to Manchester. Would like to stay longer next time - Quiet location with lovely views and sheep and donkeys Bath was a little small. For me was OK, but my partner is taller so was a bit cramped. Didn't affect our stay though

- Peter (10/5): A perfect hideaway in a stunning lication - Chocolate box in an idyllic location. Considering this was a farm, its no through road looked as though it had been manicured. Just perfect. Nothing. It was a dream i. A gem in the Peak District. Charming hard working farmer hosts

- Hilary (10/5): Perfectly cosy, peaceful and well equipped cottage - Lovely cosy cottage which was perfect for us to celebrate New Year. Very well equipped; we cooked a curry on New Year's Eve and a roast on New Year's day, & everything we needed was there.
Very tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable. Lovely views from the cottage. Nice touches from the host such as a tub of sweets, mini jars of jam and teabags/sugar left out for our arrival.

- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful cosy cottage, clean, comfortable, and warm inside. Fabulous views and walking right from the door, a perfect hideaway. There is a cosy pub 10 minute walk away, good food, open fire, very welcoming. The owner was very reaponsive to messages. I can be quite picky, so to say we loved it is high praise. Thanks again!

- Sally-anne (10/5): Having such a delightful place to stay made up for the limitations enforced by Storm Babet. - Breakfast N/A
Location was beautiful Hard to see how property could have been improved.
- Beth (10/5): Exceptional - We loved staying here, it was really quiet out in the countryside. Beautiful views. Everything was super clean and we got a little welcome gift on arrival. Sofa and bed were comfy and we were provided with shampoo and conditioner. Had all the electricals (microwave, oven, toaster, kettle, TV, hair dryer..) you could need. There was no shower curtain so the only option really was a bath, not an issue for us but something to be aware of when booking (I can't remember if this was stated in the info!).
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location , fell walking on the doorstep.
- Gordon (10/5): The peace and quiet was amazing. The owner was great and the place was neat and tidy. - The best place we stayed at in this little cottage! Difficult to find.
