• Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional stay - We found The Snug to be a real home from home with all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the property were outstanding. We would highly recommend, and we plan to return in the future. There wasn’t anything not to like about the Snug!

• Sharon (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay with amazing views. Everything you need is in the apartment for a comfortable stay. Exceptionally clean, hosts are lovely and can not do enough to help you. Walk into ilfracombe is about a mile , a nice walk hilly on the way back may be a problem for some. Bus is regular from town if needed. Car parking space and good bus service for travelling around. We would definitely stay again

• Clare (10/5): A cosy and peaceful home from home, with a fantastic view. - Amazing views, and so comfortable, cosy and well equipped.. a real home from home. Very comfortable bed and bedding, and lovely soft fluffy towels. Spotlessly clean throughout with lots of lovely homely touches. Brilliant location, close enough to the town to be easily walkable, far enough out to be quiet and peaceful. Bus stop at end of lane if required but we walked every day. Nicky and Jon were very welcoming and helpful, with great advice on places to eat and visit, and very accommodating and responsive in communication. Lovely treats of wine and a cream tea on arrival as well! The binoculars were a nice touch as well! Nothing not to like.. it was perfect for us and we'd love to return.
• Karen (10/5): We had a wonderful stay - Everything had been thoughtfully thought of to make our stay as comfortable as possible, from the slippers to the umbrellas, the kitchen was fully equipped beyond expectations, we loved sitting out in the little garden with it's fabulous views The hosts were outstanding If your looking for a little haven in such a beautiful part of the country you won't be disappointed with the snug Nothing

• Matthew (10/5): Beautiful apartment with amazing facilities - The Snug is a great place to stay for 1-2 people. It has lots of great and unusual features...loaner umbrellas, big book, map and dvd selection, lots of convenient hooks, and Cream Teas provided on arrival. Kitchen equipment is excellent for self cooking, and lots of herbs etc are provided to help you cook. It's located on the side of a hill next to the walks of the Cairn. It's a relatively long walk into town or to shops/restaurants, but there's a bus stop at the bottom of the access road with frequent buses to Ilfracombe, Barnstaple and Woolacombe. I was walking the coast path and had excellent bus connections to get me to the starts, and back from the ends, of my daily walks. I didn't use my car for the first 5 days. The view is very nice, but there can be a cold breeze because of the height on the hill. All furniture was comfortable and rooms are beautifully decorated. Owners were friendly and helpful. All was very good, though the hill up from the bus stop might be challenging for less mobile guests.

• Barbarajane (10/5): Lovely little house loved it had everything you needed in there and extras - Location was ok but a bit hilly for me as got a bad hip but the place was lovely The road was very bumpy lot of holes in the road
• Paul (8/5): Enjoyed the stay but would not return unless the access road is greatly improved. - The hosts were very accommodating as we were delayed starting our break and they offered us an extra night so we were able to complete our three night stay. The location is very quiet and in a beautiful location. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you might need. Access to the property is via a very poorly maintained road and then forest track. Just as you enter the track off the road there are some large overgrown boulders on the left which need painting white. Need to squeeze onto the toilet between a cupboard and the bath.

The hosts Nicky and Jon were a warm and friendly couple who had thought of everything guests might need to make their stay comfortable. The towels and bedding smelt lovely and fresh. The complimentary welcome pack was much appreciated. Thank you so much for a lovely stay we will definitely reccomend to friends and family We loved everything about the snug, the only negative was the approach road which is steep and very bumpy & uneven. Its about 25mins walk downhill to the harbour and very steep to walk back up. There is a bus service which runs regularly and drops off nearby which we used daily

The hosts were great and allowed us to check in a lot earlier than expected. They welcomed us with scones, jam and clotted cream and fresh orange juice and milk which was lovely. The Snugs location is great, a 30/40 min walk to the harbour and a short drive to nearby beaches. Nothing

Even lovelier than the add suggested. - Great position - views, parking, welcome, facilities and details ( thoughfully provided for in many many ways, clean and tidy)Kitchen area bigger that photos could show; near to foot paths, we are walkers, its a good base. Security light outside bedroom window was bright enough to stop bedroom being fully dark at night, which might be good for some!

• John (9/5): did what it said on he tin - View exceeded expectation , provisions were a pleasant suprise consisting of ;- cream tea , red and white wine ,fresh milk Can't say we didn't like but you have to be reasonably fit to walk to town and back . There is however a bus stop vey near to the property .
• Ryan (9/5): Cosy property with impressive views and a great base from which to explore Ilfracombe - The views from the property were really good and the bed was extremely comfortable. 'The Snug' is a very apt name because it was very snug and cosy! Liked the personal touches and selection of games/books and films to choose from. We could hear noises from downstairs either quite late at night (post 11pm) and early in the morning (before 8 am) which disturbed us a little bit but not much.

The property is home from home and everything you need is available. The hosts kindly provided a cream tea on our arrival as well as a few essentials after a long journey.
