• Suñe (3/5): claustrofóbico - la ubicacion, la atencion del personal, muy amables atentos y comprensivos, solo nos quedamos una noche porque no habia ya mas opcion, pero nos devolvieron la reserva sin problemas. totalmente claustrofóbico, ni una sola ventana en las habitaciones, la distribucion del hotel es un laberinto, con un acceso angosto que en caso de incendio puede resultar fatal.

• Ravi (9/5): Beautiful accommodation and hosts - The pictures do not do it justice. This place is authentic and very clean. One of my best stays in Brazil. The location, staff, facilities and decor were lovely. The host was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. The terrace garden is a beautiful 😍 The AC wasn't great but I'm sure they will fix that

• Giulia (10/5): - Questa struttura ha sicuramente tanti punti di forza: la gentilezza della proprietaria è la prima, e la posizione la seconda. Questa struttura in stile coloniale è di fronte al mare e fare colazione con questa vista è stato bellissimo. L'ultimo giorno abbiamo chiamato un Uber alle 3.30 di notte per l'aeroporto e la proprietaria ha aspettato in strada con noi. La colazione, preparata al momento, è molto buona. Il quartiere di Barra è sicuro, pieno di locali e molto movimentato. Posto consigliatissimo!

Le balcon très pratique, la patronne Cris qui parle très bien l’anglais et est à votre écoute pour tout problème. L’ancienne maison rénovée avec soin et un très joli magasin de vêtement au rez. Une machine à café/thé serait bienvenue. Le week-end très bruyant, mais dans la chambre ça reste assez calme toutefois. Difficile à trouver la 1ere fois…

• Kelnner (6/5): Place very near Farol da Barra - The fact that the place is in front of the beach is the main attraction of the place. It is in the near of restaurants, touristic areas. It is absolutely handy. The staff were friendly, but standard. Only the lady that served me the breakfast was really really nice. The bathroom was very dirty. The toilet was not clean under the seat, and the shower was full of hair. It was really not nice. Also, the tap was rusty and full of kalk. There is no “don’t bother” sign and the cleaner entered my room without consent. Also she folded the covers, but did not clean the room at all. It is a place fine for one night, but more than that it is bothersome. I was there for two.

É um lugar muito legal para fazer turismo pela parte historica a pé. Fora que a praia é abençoada pelas águas quentes e cristalinas da Bahia de Todos os SAntos. TAmbém o café da manhã carinhoso ajuda a começar bem o dia, junto com a vista linda do quarto. OU se quiser, tomar o café da manhã no terraço. TEr que ir embora.

Recomendo. O quarto que reservei a janela ficava para um corredor interno. Mas existem outros quartos muito bons com janela externa, é interessante ter atenção a isso.

• Kirsty (8/5): Very good - It's got a lot of character as an old building which makes it quite unique. The lady did a lovely breakfast to eat on the terrace. My room had a view of the sea but this also meant it was facing the main road which is very noisy.
• Daniel (9/5): Very nice stay in a very nice neighborhood. I would surely visit again! - Great location and treatment from the staff. Lots of restaurants and bars around. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful. Lots of things to do on foot around the hotel. Great views. I advise guests to leave their cars in a nearby hospital parking lot (about a 3-4 minute walk on the same street). Not much of a problem, just an additional cost of about R$40 for every 24 hours. The room I stayed in was kind of small, so if you have a lot o luggage, try to find one of the bigger ones. There is one room in particular, that has the frontal view to the street and beach, and is much bigger. Should have gotten that one!

Mas o atendimento não é nada simpático, só tem 1 atendente que deve ser a dona e vi que realmente não faz muita questão de ser simpática..rs e as instalações são um tanto ruins porque o prédio é antigo, apesar de se ver que foi reformado para virar hospedagem, os quartos são fechados e escuros, só possuem uma janela para o corredor, isso quando a suíte tem janela. O ponto mais positivo é somente a localização que realmente é excelente!

• Ranne (10/5): Perfect place if you want to wake up and hit the beach - Right in front of the beach. The terrace is open regardless of what room you choose and it has a lovely view. Not the quietest so only book if you want to be close to Porto beach. Super clean rooms and friendly staff. We had breakfast on the terrace and it was a great start to our day. Lots of restaurants around! Would definitely recomend!

• Desirée (9/5): A joyful, relaxed and restorative stay in a beautiful space with amazing people an insane view. - Easily the best spot in Porto da Barra. Couldn’t have felt more welcome and taken care of — the owners are top level, — kind, helpful and so joyful, and their staff is so lovely. The building itself dates back to the 1850s and the owners have preserved much of the original design (ie., beautiful wood and tile floors, tall wooden doors, stained glass etc.) while updating it for modern use and adding personal design touches through out. You can see and feel the care and love that has been put into this place. Rooms are comfortable, AC, TV, safe, hot showers, wifi (good enough for remote work) etc. beds are comfy with crisp white sheets. It’s located directly in front of the beach with views of the most incredible sunsets from the beachfront rooms, terrace and open air garden on the top floors where you’ll get a panoramic view! Walking distance from anything you could possibly need and quick taxi/Uber to historic sites and museums. Leave extra space in your suitcase if you’re into vintage fashion — there’s a well curated collection on the ground level at poppy bizarre!

Passa ônibus toda hora, ponto de taxi ao lado, agencia de turismo, restaurantes, lanchonetes, sorveteria,agua de coco na porta, barraca de acaraje e em.frente na.minha opiniao a melhor praia de Salvador para tomar banho com crianças , nadar e andar de caiaque e stand up. O por do sol é maravilhoso do terraço.

Perderam a chave do meu quarto, no dia que cheguei, avisei que o cofre do meu quarto estava ruim, fiquei 6 dias e ninguem resolveu. O meu quarto quando cheguei estava cheio de cabelo no chão. Fora que as fotos enganam muito. Você acha que estara em um hotel. Mas na verdade é um casarão velho. Sem estrutura nenhuma para ser um hotel. Reservei um quarto com varanda para o mar, cheguei la era apenas uma janela baixa, que não podia nem ficar aberta pois era tão baixo que todos na rua conseguiam enxergar dentro do meu quarto. Ah, e tinha sim um quarto com varanda. Pois era ao lado do meu, eu reclamei e não falaram nada. E eu paguei mais caro por isso. O hotel é bem caro, não é barato não para as acomodações péssimas que eles oferecem. Todas as pessoas que eu observei chegando ao hotel, tinham a mesma reação. "Será que é aqui mesmo?" Cara de surpreso, pois é totalmente diferente das fotos que eles colocam no anúncio.

• Vanessa (8/5): - Habitación limpia, no proveen de shampoo ni acondicionador, mobiliario antiguo, baño limpio, funcional y recientemente re acondicionado. Buen desayuno pero repetitivo. Como sugerencia les diría que habiliten un baño con ducha para sus huéspedes que se retiran al mediondia pero desean una ducha rápida al fin del día antes de ir al aeropuerto, ya que la zona es linda y así poder pasar la tarde en la playa y si el vuelo sale muy tarde en la noche es un excelente servicio que dar. Les soliciten una ducha para el final de la tarde luego de la playa y no pudieron ofrecermela, solo un baño donde cambiarme, en la zona no hay duchas públicas, únicamente una en una tienda de alquiler de implementó de surf que no estaba habilitada por no haber energía eléctrica en la zona a esas horas. Otro detalle es que no tiene generador, por lo cual tampoco tenían luz durante el corte.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Far away from a 5 stars same-everywhere-chain, the Village Novo delivers the local experience.There are some issues in the facilities. In my room some of the light bulbs were not working, the pipe below the bathroom sink was leaking, hot water would be unpredictable, and the wifi unreliable, and there was no phone to call to reception. However, the bathroom and the room were spacious, comfortable, and very clean, you do not need much hot water in the tropics, the wifi did work most times and with a speed considerable better than in most 4 stars hotels I have stayed in. They serve a buffet breakfast and you can, besides, place special orders without being charge extra. The kitchen stays open most days and usually have a daily special with a local dish at about 20 Rials. The drinks are good and generous. But what really makes is not the beautiful, well renovated building nor the kitchen, but two other features: the location and the staff. The hotel is located right in the North end of Porto da Barra, you cross the street and can jump into one of the best beaches around the world: the fairly worldwide famous Praia da Barra. You are close to most touristic attractions, by walking or by no more than a 20R Uber ride. The staff, starting in the front desk, passing for the kitchen, the cleaning crew, the waiters, and ending with the owner, are suer friendly and always smiling and offering an outstanding hosting service. I will be back, next time in one if the rooms with a beach view.
