Guest Reviews
The shower was really nice, although it seemed to run out of hot water after midnight. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Also, the staff was very nice and helpful.

- jeff (10/5): - Central to everything in Tokyo using the subway. Very friendly staff. Massage chair in room was golden after a full day of tourist walking. Would book again.
- jeff (10/5): - Very convenient central location to all parts of Tokyo using the subway. Area is quiet at night. Massage chair in room was golden especially after a long day of tourist walking. Would book again.
- Charles (10/5): - Room was very spacious and even had a really neat massage chair.
Great location right next to Jimbocho Station (A1 exit). Lots of restaurants, bookshops and cafes next door.
Only complaint is that the room had a bit of a mildew-y smell to it, but there was an air purifier running that helped with that.
- Yee Man (10/5): - The hotel is conveniently located near the station, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. It also provides useful amenities such as towels, toothbrushes, razors, and more. We had a pleasant stay, and the staff were friendly. Thank you!
- Timothy (8/5): - Hotel along street with different bookshops, good for those seeking nostalgia. Metro entrance just around the corner making traveling easy. Room appears appropriate for 4 adults and 8 luggages but the standard sized double bed is too cram for 2 adults. Would stay again in future.
- Michael (10/5): - Very friendly staff, comfortable beds, and in a lovely quiet area with easy access to many Tokyo hotspots. We would love to stay here again during a future visit.
- Eleno (8/5): - A nice easy-going place to stay
- Jorge (10/5): - Food options will make this option the best
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel with books - This hotel is very close to the subway. It is small but clean. As its feature, it has many books in Japanese to read with a full size massage chair that my family loves.
- Amy (10/5): - Wonderful hotel close to lots of things to do and the subway for easy transport all around Tokyo.

- Daniel (10/5): - Todo excelente gracias por las atenciones
- ALFREDO (10/5): - Conveniently located near Jimbocho Station.
- Kimberly (10/5): - Very convient to the Jimbocho station and konbinis. Clean. Comfortable beds. Quiet room. Helpful staff. Would stay here again.
- Kevin (8/5): - Overall good stay. Was a little humid & unable to get the AC working correctly but a fun stay otherwise.
- Jane (10/5): - It had heen a wonderful experience. The book-themed hotel is cute, very clean and equipped with everything you need. And for this price in Tokyo, the room is quite spacious. The staff members ate helpful and polite.
The cool neighborhood is packed with both modern and retro bookshops. There are 24-hour convenient stores and a few cozy cafes and cocktail bars within a few blocks.
I am very happy with the experience and will definitely stay here again.
- Diana J (10/5): - Everything was clean and the air conditioner was working very well. They were very nice when i checked in. Very respectful 😁
- Sergey (10/5): - Nice place.
- Vivian (10/5): - The area that the hotel is located in, is very lovely. It is quiet but has a lot of options and variety of vintages books and magazines. The hotel is also located conveniently by Jimbocho station which connects to three railway lines. It’s convenient to get to and around Tokyo.
The room itself is lovely. Not too tight compared to other rooms. In particular the washroom was fantastic. The shower had great pressure and temperature. Hotel amenities were also great. Had a lovely stay!
- Frank (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay and liked the helpful staff who recommended a place to wash our clothing because they could not provide this service . Overall it was a quiet and clean experience
Thank you
- Gita (6/5): - Location is great as right next to the metro station with good connections. Stayed for 5 nights, the cleaning service should be improved as room was not hoovered once, bins not emptied and dust on walls etc is visable.
- rachael (10/5): - Great place to stay in the book district
- Stephanie (2/5): - Horrible property. No other family should ever stay there!!
- John (4/5): - Good place, but our room was too dusty.
- Eli (8/5): Disservice - Perfect for one night. No early check in although our bags were put in our room? No food. We also had to fill out a long form. The bed was very comfortable.
- Arvind (10/5): - Smaller rooms but expected in Tokyo area for this budget. We were a family of 4 so the room was little tight. Rooms and the hotel itself is very clean. Working fridge and water heater. Good shower. There is a massaging chair which is reasonable after a long day of walking. Jimbocho station is right next door. Many restaurants are within walking distance and Shinjuku is with 3-4 stops by train, or 10 mins. Overall very comfortable stay
- Purushoth (8/5): - Good place and very closer to Train station
- Jeff (10/5): - Very clean and convienient! Good shower and comfy beds. Easy access to many train lines and lots of restaurants near by as well as several combini! Would stay again!
- Nishi (10/5): - Easy to check in and check out. Staff is very kind and friendly. Very close to Akhibara, shinjuku, shibuya, harijuku and Tokyo station.( closest). Neat and clean property in chiyoda. We will be staying there again. Close to all amenities. Lively neighborhood!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay!
- Sunita (8/5): - Book Hotel is a good budget option for those not wanting much space. We booked a room "for 4 persons" and got 2 beds. The size of each bed was in-between a twin and a double bed, in north American sizes. It was a tight squeeze. There was no space in the room to open our luggage or unpack anything. There is a small desk/table that allows one person to sit.
The area was fantastic - steps from the subway and dozens of dining options.
- Alonzo (10/5): - The hotel was great, the service was also outstanding!
- Rebekah (10/5): - The Book Hotel was easy to find and right next to the station we used for all our travel. This is the perfect location for a book nerd or someone traveling around Japan for the first time. Check-in was easy and the staff was helpful. The massage chair was incredibly lovely after all the walking we did!
- Paul (10/5): - A very nice and unique hotel in Tokyo's "book neighborhood". The hotel itself has a book theme and there many book stores up and down the street as well as little stalls on the sidewalk. Staff is very polite and friendly. Check in is by QR code, which was challenging for an older person like myself, so I let my son-in-law who is a tech professional, handle the check in. Many, if possibly all rooms have a massage chair, which everyone raved about. The neighborhood is safe and there are dining options nearby.
- Matthew (8/5): - Good hotel for location n budget. Friendly staff, good room size, decently clean, but moisture by the window, no laundry n no luggage storage after check out.
- Yasuyoshi (8/5): -
- Nathanael (10/5): - A quaint little spot in the Jimbocho area themed around books. If you cannot read Japanese, there isnt much for you, but the atmosphere still is top notch.
- Gayathri (10/5): Good stay! - Convenient location.
- Vimi Grace (10/5): - The hotel is unique because there’s plenty of books to read and the receptionist is kind and helpful. I would recommend it to my friends.
- Michael (10/5): Amazing location with almost free massage!! - Great location, across the road from Jimbochu Station. Great restaurants close by. We took a room with the massage chair. Whilst the chair takes up a lot of space, there's ways to still organize luggage for 4 people. The massage chair was amazing! In 2 days I spent at least 1-1/2 hours using it. We loved it!! Thanks for the great stay..
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
- Emily (10/5): - Super friendly and helpful. Lots of space. Close to the stations. Tokyo dome is walking distance or train station away. Loved staying here.
- Joe (8/5): Good value - Was very good value.
Near the station and room was not too small.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Jessica (8/5): - This is a great central location to visit. Rooms were clean, and I like the fact that there was a massage chair in the rooms. After a long day of walking around, it felt so good to sit in that thing!
It had a little bit extra space than other business or budget hotels that I’ve been to. The small bathtub was also very nice.
I would definitely stay here again. Super quiet area also!
- Samantha (10/5): - Its right by the Jimbocho station which is great! Also easy check in and lovely staff, we wouldve loved to stay longer but we couldn't.
- Megumi (4/5): -
- Ken (8/5): - This property was fantastic close to train stations and a 7 11. The room was clean and tidy plenty of books inside and outside the room but its all in Japanese so you'll need to know how to read them to enjoy them. Overall highly recommended!
- Dana (6/5): - This was the 1st hotel we stayed while visiting Tokyo, It was good value for our money. Knowing what we know now, we would pick another one closer to places we want to visit. This place located in a book district and unfornunately, we do not know how to read to appreciate them.
- Tyler (4/5): - Felt like the boiler room of hell in the room and was so humid for no reason, good staff tho
- ming (10/5): - excellent
- Phil (10/5): - Lovely cost effective hotel. It was impeccably clean and the staff hugely helpful. The staff is English speaking and it was an easy relaxed stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
