- Jonathan (9/5): - It's clean and a nice place to relax...it's relaxing and if you feel like taking a break it's the right place to go...everything is working and on place...it's between the mountains and the bike rides is nice ,you can drive all the way up the mountain and around the lodge for only R350 per hour...plus the pools are very nice and clean and well maintained. Everything is good

- Menzi (10/5): Impressed beyond expectation - I love the fact that we could see some game on the facility. There is a beautiful river where you can sit and have a picnic. Nice hiking spots right on the premises. There was always hot water, handwash liquid, toilet paper and the showers and toilets were always clean. The care taker checked on us constantly and he responded swiftly to all our needs and complaints. The loud music and noisy guests made it very unpleasant at night. It completely ruined the tranquility of the place.

We did not get what we booked, we booked a tent and were given a 2 x 4 room with no air conditioner or fan, this is unacceptable in the lowveld. We were told the place was fully booked even though we reserved and paid weeks in advance, the booking.com site showed a tent was available, and that was we reserved and paid for?????

- Aaltiena (1/5): Not a true reflection - The grounds were very neat and tidy There was nobody on the property except for an elderly Afrikaans lady who told us that the staff were either in hospital or had run away so there was nobody to help us !!! The self catering chalet we had requested and paid for was "not available " and we were directed to a safari tent with no bathroom and the only ablutions were far away in the camping area ( not very acceptable for an elderly couple like us). The bar and restaurant shown on the advertising website were closed and looked abandoned. SO WE DID NOT STAY THERE AND LEFT TO FIND ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION. Therefore we cannot give a review of the property and wish to point out that the website is a poor representation and should be amended or removed.

- Renee (8/5): Beautiful location - We love the location which is just right between Johannesburg and Kruger NP, but it’s more than a convenient stopover. The surroundings are beautiful too. The main road may keep light sleepers awake, but the river camouflages the noise and if you’re camping down by the river it’s even better. The staff was very helpful and endearing. Even the three cats were sweet. We felt safe with the big gate. Toilet and shower was very clean. Same for the accommodation. The zippers of the bungalow tent were iin poor condition. The leaf blower made a lot of noise upon arrival.
- Ferdinand (5/5): Absolutely unsatisfied - When we arrived we got downgraded from 2 bedroom chalet to a room with only 2 single beds in as they told us that that room was actually better than the 2 bedroom chalet? Upon arrival I was told to wait outside reception while handymen was still doing maintenance work on the stoep with tools lying everywhere. Another 2 ladies arrived after me and immediately got directed to their room while I still had to wait. By the time I got assisted, I was asked how many people we were. When I replied 2, both the people who worked there immediately said room 4. When I asked what happened to the 2 bedroom chalet which I booked, they replied that room number 4 was actually better so they "upgraded" me. When we got to our room there was no toilet paper and the room smelled badly of mildew. We had to travel all the way to Ngwenya 36km to go and buy coffee, sugar and milk as none was left with the cups and at no stage were we informed that we had to bring our own with. Paying over R1400 per night for this small room with no extras after being downgraded was disgraceful. No wifi, no aircon, no tv and terrible service from the staff. So what is going to happen to my refund being downgraded to a small room? If I now look at booking options between the room and two bedroom chalet, the room is less than halve the price per night of the two bedroom chalet.

- Wida (6/5): Pleasant - The property is pristine with beautiful well-kept and lush gardens. The room where we stayed is private with parking right at the room's entrance. It is a bird's paradise with lots of large trees and a mountain stream. We saw birds there that we have never seen before. The linen in the room is of good quality. The shower has nice hot water with strong water pressure. The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful, admin effective and accommodating with change requests. The property has a warm and welcome atmosphere with a friendly resident Jack Russell dog. . No internet or cellphone reception at the property or in the room. That means that one could not phone or WhatsApp someone to open reception to check in. There was also no bell at reception to alert them of our arrival. Fortunately a long term resident arrived to fetch the caretaker. The room had no aircon and the roof fan did not work. The room was warm and stuffy upon our arrival, so we used our own fan we had with us to cool down and freshen the room. There were only one bath towel each for the two of us. No small towels to wash your hair. No small table with two chairs to sit down and have a meal. Only a bench on the verandah/stoep outside and one small desk inside with one chair. The desk was mostly covered with a large tray with the items of a coffee station. The mattresses are too soft and could be firmer. Both of us had back pain the next day. A crack in the floor has not been repaired and one corner of the shower has a piece of masking tape on it. Not all the walls and corners of the room are as clean as it could be. The above could have been okay if the price matched the condition of the room. But at the price asked it is at least R200/night over-priced. If they want that type of price category, a few upgrades are necessary
