Guest Reviews
- Talyssa (9/5): - Private entrance, really lovley space, it was comfortable and clean. Definitely worth the money There should be a mention of CCTV/ cameras being used for the outdoor areas as that was a little bit of a shock when we arrived, after going through the entire listing and information online and finding nothing that states it was there, what it was being used for.
Also would be beneficial for a bathroom bin for hygiene products
- Tanya (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful little getaway & the place is stunning š
- Nicola (8/5): -
- Ellie (9/5): Cozy - Itās looked nice and cozy and was a lovely stay Outside was full of seating chair would recommend a hot tub, we were greeted by 4 spiders in the room as we got there and the hot water tap was temperamental.
- Andy (9/5): -
- garry (10/5): Amazing, can't wait to return - What a nice little hidden gem! Lovely gardens and exceptionally maintained. We can't wait to return, comfortable bed, had an amazing peaceful nights sleep. Nothing, it is perfect
- Kellie (7/5): Lovely stay - Lovely little cottage. Comfy bed. Coffee sachets are a nice touch! Very private and secure. Good location with Holland hall on the doorstep which is a great pub There was no hair dryer available which is usually a standard basic item. For the price it would be good to have a hot tub in the garden area. Only mirror for getting ready is the bathroom mirror. Would benefit from a mirror on the main room.
- kelly (3/5): Very disappointing - The look of the property was nice Upon arrival it was like an escape room to get in. The room was freezing with no working central heating and a small oil filled radiator supplied which was useless. The water from the bathroom sink smelt painful, so I wouldnāt recommend drinking. The hot water literally dribbled out of the taps. The bed is very small for two people. I would not recommend.
- Isaac (9/5): Perfect - Everything about it is just perfect. And at night time with the lights itās nice to just sit and chill . Nothing bad to say about it .
- Dannielle (10/5): - Lovely, clean, cosy space. Ideal quiet location and nice outdoor space to relax in. I woukd definitely book again.

- Tammy Marie (10/5): Beautiful little place - Beautiful little outdoor space š«¶š¼
- Tim (7/5): Good but small and may be affected by noisy party goers at the next door hotel. - The Hideout is very clean with a comfortable bed, large television and good shower room. If the weather is good there is an outdoor area for eating and relaxing. If the weather is not brilliant there is little room to relax inside. It is managed offsite. The hotel which is directly next door with a shared car park next, does not own the Hideout. There was an event at the hotel which meant people were drinking and noisy literally outside the gate of The Hideout. Luckily the noise stopped at c 11pm so we were able to have a quiet night. We ate at the hotel (food ok) but it was the same night that, as well as the event, was hosting its regular bingo night in the same space as dining so we didnāt hang around after eating.

- Laura (10/5): Beautiful place to stay - Absolutely beautiful . Peaceful and quiet , comfortable bed and all amenities you need
- Ian (10/5): - The privacy is a great feature in this property even when sitting outside it still feels like a hideaway place. Everything we needed was there, even the wine cooler which I thought was a great little addition. The garden is a fantastic feature in this property, even if it's raining you can still sit outside and enjoy the design of your very own private garden.
5ā all the way. Sorry but there was nothing we didn't like.
- Rochelle (10/5): Unaccomodating host - Facilities The fact that the host was not accomodating for a slightly earlier check in
- Jennifer (9/5): Excellent place to stay if you are visiting the golf course next to it, or attending a function at Holland Hall. - Lovely outdoor space including a covered area outside the patio doors. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Fridge for drinks.
- Emma (10/5): Stayed here for one night and it was so gorgeous we didnāt meet the only but can tell they really pride themselves on ma - The property was gorgeous and very clean and comfy with all facilities needed for an overnight stay
- Deborah (10/5): gorgeous little place will be booking again! -
- Olive (8/5): Good value for our requirements - Easy access to event and good value Noise from adjacent wedding
- Winch (10/5): Exceptional -
- Murphy (9/5): A fab wee break ! - Travelled down to attend a family wedding. The hotel was fully booked but this wee gem was available.
Lovely and clean and the gardens looked fab at night all lit up. There was nothing I didnāt like about the property. A lovely little place.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect
- Steve (5/5): It was ok. - Clean, modern, nice outside area not over looked. No ironing board or iron, no hairdryer, shower is modern but the water flow is very weak. Nowhere to do some work on the laptop (table etc). The quilt was very thin. And the alarm went off the second I walked in the door.
- Lisa (10/5): Lovely peaceful location - Cute quaint ideal escape for a night or 2 beautifully presented and everything that was needed for our 1 nights stay The only 1 thing I would add is maybe instructions to turn radiator off it was like a sauna when we arrive and did take us a while to work out to lift the radiator cover to switch off but that being said I am blonde lol
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Omalley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Russell (7/5): Good - Very private, nice shower area and good outdoor space. Uncomfortable mattress - it needs a topper.
- Nickeas (7/5): Good -
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (8/5): Great for an overnight stay - Clean modern cottage in a very quiet location. Nice outdoor area with perfect lighting Disappointed with check out being 10am & not 11am that had been previously. Although plenty of outdoor space frustrating unable to smoke in the garden area.
- Angela (10/5): Fab little place - The whole setup was amazing. Great little place to chill out with friends. Place was spotless on arrival. The bed was comfortable, the outside areas are well lit and looks so romantic at night. Fab little place. Check out was a little too early, I thought.
Got a little chilly at night, maybe a heater so people can sit outside at night.
- Catherine (7/5): Good - It was so quiet and peaceful The hotel wasn't open.so couldn't get food
And there was microwave to be able to heat anything . And no teabags only coffee
- Sarah (7/5): Nice clean simple stay - Lovely and clean nice and quiet as there didnāt seem to be anyone in the cottage above and the carpark at the side was empty as I arrived late.
Nice modern outside area which is for you to use so you donāt have to share.
Handy having Netflix ect
Nice shower
Very clean bathroom
Handy fridge The tray with the kettle on was poor, just 2 sachets of coffee and 1 spoon and that was it! No tea, sugar ect!
Body soap empty
Very annoying that you have a massive outside area with 3 separate areas but you arenāt allowed to smoke outside in the garden!
10am checkout is quite early and looking at the wall poster it used to be 11am which would make more sense but clearly they have changed it.
Little things like a hair dryer would be helpful instead of 3 different types of fans?
Be good if there were lights over the signs for each cottage as arriving in the dark itās really hard to see.
The key pad is really temperamental! Spent 10 mins in the morning trying to open it was just flashing g and beeping had to just leave the key on top In the end and give up
- Zeeshan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harriet (10/5): Exceptional - Loved everything, only thing was the mattress protector made you sweat ! If I was to mention anything would be that.
- Lisa (10/5): Cosy Cottage - The cottage was very cosy , we didn't get to spend much time in there because once we checked in we headed straight to Robins Park Arena Wigan for the Noel Gallagher Concert. We only got back at midnight. The stadium wasn't that far away in a taxi. The checking in time but it's not a big thing it probably suits most people.
- Nathan (9/5): Relaxing, private and peaceful. - Amazing location, very private and comfortable with the added bonus of a garden! All facilities were clean, modern and like new. Bed was comfy and plenty of pillows. really lovely private spot. Aircon in the room. It was a hot week and the room was really hot on arrival but no ventilation meant it was very warm. Not a major issue as the doors could be left open until bed!
Other thing is the lack of tea. I don't drink coffee so tea would be a good alternative, but not a deal breaker.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keira (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (10/5): Nice and chilled - Nice out the way lovely
- Nathan (9/5): Really enjoyable stay with wonderful surroundings. Slept like a log! - Location was fantastic with lovely surroundings. The facility was very clean, well presented and plenty of comfort. No opening windows meaning the door had to be left open for fresh air. It wasn't a big issue but would be even better with fresh air supply.
