• Frida (10/5): Good times - Everything! I had a fantastic time. The staff were so fun and kind, it was great to hang out with everyone! Also, everything about Lake Bled is awesome: the lake, the mountains, the rivers, the forests, the meadows, the small villages and the narrow roads between them. Everything except for the buses. And this hostel is the perfect place to be. Genuinely depressing to leave

• Kristel (9/5): - Inchecken verliep vlot. Er was een badkamer op de kamer. Gemeenschappelijke plaats/keuken werd erg netjes gehouden. Er is een microgokfoven een rijstkoker en een soort oven/airfryer. Er was altijd toezicht en altijd een aanspreekpunt. Vriendelijk personeel. Er mogen meer haken voorzien worden op de kamer en in de badkamer. Een natte jas en/of handdoek niet in de kast drogen drogen is onhandig en lukt niet. Om 1 of 2 stuks te drogen loop je niet naar de wasserette. Een droogrek zou dus handig zijn. De keuken heeft geen kookplaat => op zich geen probleem maar wel handig om te weten.

• Aislinn (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely staff. Beautiful building. Great location! Only a few minutes from the lake, the bus stop and a bunch of lovely restaurants/cafes. Few minutes hike up to castle bled for great sunset views. The common areas were so lovely, fridges and utilities were kept clean, rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Beds had charging ports and lockers in the rooms were big. I was solo travelling while doing some online work and it was perfect - good wifi, quiet rooms and common areas. No curtains on the beds but personally didnt have a problem with this

• Elena (8/5): Very good - It’s a nice place to stay, just a solid hostel in a beautiful place. Easy to find and reach from the bus stop. Not a brand new but everything is working fine. Staff were super nice and friendly. Everything was tidy enough, the rooms were clean and warm, the beds were comfortable. There are no lockers in the room, which is why you have to go to the shower with a backpack, I would like to be able to at least put a laptop and documents in such a place. No option for cars payement. Only one socket next to the bed isn’t enough.

• Jc (5/5): Read others comment before booking - Location is near the path to castle, 7 min walk from the bus station and can get the the lake and the path easily. Get discount with some restaurant. Friendly staffs. Have quite hours(2200-0700), but can still hear people walking up and down stairs, building issue. They lock the common room from 1130-0830, make sense at first glance, but it did not. You can't have your food or have a seat in the morning until they open the door or stay longer if you want at night. No actual kitchen, hard to cook hot food. No light in each bed and no curtains, only two light on the ceiling( 8bed room), so anyone taking lower bunk bed is always feeling dark. And you will be flashed by other repeatedly after the light was off. No shower gel or towel provided, neither do they have hair dryer. Draining is not working well. Bathroom door is hard to close or lock. No free luggage storage after check-out, is cost 10 euro. Can try tourist info center.

The beds are uncomfortable, mattress was uncomfortable besides the mattress topper being present, the pillow was practically useless.

• Katarina (4/5): Bare Bones; Inaccessible "Kitchen" - Decently quiet, and people were respectful (that is, when staff members could be found). Bare bones of a hostel: They don’t provide towels (unless you pay) or even a bath mat outside the shower, so the bathroom floor was always wet, which got tracked into the shared bedroom. Difficult to sleep with no AC and an aged pillow that was coming apart in clumps, so it was lumpy instead of soft. The “kitchen” was a joke. The rules say you can’t have food in the rooms, only in the kitchen. But the door to the kitchen was locked at night until 8:30am. Clearly people have transportation arrangements before that time and can’t make breakfast or retrieve their food items from the fridge before they have to check out. I had to leave my food in the fridge simply because the door was locked when I went to get it-- so wasteful! Bad techno music played in common areas.
• Bob (1/5): Discrimination - Nothing Discrimination   Liked · Nothing Disliked · An absolute disappointment booked two beds paid in advance and arrived after a very long day riding motorcycles in the heat. On arrival was told that i and my travelling friend were too old to be allowed to stay as we were over 45years of age. I, we were not happy as it clearly stated this this hostel was not a party hostel, I saw no mention of age discrimination. I have traveled the world with Booking.com using all types of accommodations but mainly hostels, never have I been insulted and old I was too old to stay because the younger people staying would be uncomfortable with old people. After much discussion the male receptionist then said that if we paid and extra 30 euros we could suddenly be allowed to stay, in the same hostel that apparently we could not stay due to age and would upset younger people. As it was late and extremely tried from a long day riding we paid extra just to sleep. I am sure that Slovenia adheres to European rules on ageism and there not discriminate a person due to their age. We rode big powerful motorcycles not wheelchairs. But how strange that an extra payment and the discriminatory policy disappears. I expect Booking to do the right thing and refund me the extra euros having to paid. The handful of younger people there did not show any displeasure in two older people in the same building and were friendly and smiled An utter shock, compared to the absolute wonderful nature of Slovenian people elsewhere on are trip.

• Michał (10/5): Exceptional - Location near the castle and beautiful st. Martin church, not far from the lake, a well-supplied shop in vicinity. Watch out searching for the parking spots, they are accessible from the main road, not from the city centre ;) the room we rented was clean and cozy, and the hostel appeared well-maintained :) very nice personnel, although upon arrival you need to announce your presence with the doorbell near the door :)

• Pika (7/5): Good for one night - The location is near the center and there is a free parking place in front of the hostel. It wasn’t vert clean, nor the room and specially not the kitchen.
• Dhiarllon (9/5): It's a good place - I stayed there for 6 days, and it was my second time in Bled. I love this city. The hostel is really good, the staff are super friendly, helped with everything. It's a reasonable place to work, sometimes it's really crowded but it's ok. There is a small market near there, it's good. And it's very close to the lake, it's perfect. The bed is OK, also the room. I recommend it. The shared kitchen doesn't have a stove or equipment to prepare the most type of food. There are a microwave, grill, fridge, and simple kitchenware. The fridge is impossible to use. The travelers don't throw out the food when they leave and accumulate everything.

There was only a microwave in the kitchen, no stove stop which a lot of people did not realise. As the town is already pricey for food, this made cooking quite hard, and expensive to eat out.

• Sinead (7/5): Comfy and great location - Good location, close to the Castle. Shared bathroom per dorm and wardrobes placed in the middle to create a bit of privacy between the beds. The host was really lovely! Very friendly! Nice little social area where everyone got together due to the rain. Kitchen has lots of stuff to eat off but not much to cook from. Microwave and toaster grill. The fridges were rammed and not labelled/ ordered so lots of out of date food.

• Jack (9/5): Superb - The location was very good and close to the center, the hostel was clean. The shower drained slowly when in use and it could overflow if now watched.
• Ursula (7/5): Bad maintenance of the place, good location - Location I can not store my stuff because they didn't give me the key of the wardrobe. They said it was broken. Then I had to leave my stuff without protection in an 8 people room. It was too expensive for an 8 people room and one bathroom. They obliged me to pay them in cash.

• Lucas (3/5): Poor - Placement and the staff Mold in the room and on the mattresses, no designated wall plug at the beds and the overall value for money
• Frank (7/5): Kitchen was useless. - Staff were quite nice. They had to placate guests for lack of facilities. I.e. "the manager said he would organise a stove top, water cettle...* the owner obviously was making a mint without tending to upkeep of facilities. Beds in 4 bed dorm were too close together. Kitchen only had a microwave and was as such useless for cooking.

• Wingyan (1/5): A hostel without business ethics - Probably the only hostel in the area so they managed to jack up the price by offering a 8-bed dorm at 60+ EUR. Beds have no curtains so no privacy. The hostel owners also have no compassion - the only hostel out of four that I contacted that wouldn’t cancel my booking for free when I told them I suffered a terrible accident and can’t make it anymore. They managed to be so crappy because they are the only one that’s been in the game for so long + have a strategic location close to the Bled castle. Am seeing more new hostels popping up so am sure with their lack of business ethics they won’t be doing well for long.
