Everything was really great. It would be nice if the televisions in the rooms at least the rooms we were in were smart TVs.

The breakfast was fantastic and if you have not included it in your booking, please do so, as you will be missing out! The location was ideal for all my meetings as this was at the center of my north to south travels. I would recommend staying here. Night activities were too far for a lone traveller, but I did catch up on all my emails. :)

• JC (9/5): A home away from home - A spacious guesthouse in close proximity to Sandton CBD, the highway, and all amenities. It is set in a peaceful neighborhood, close to the terminus of a cul-de-sac. The house is attached to a tranquil garden with a pool. Rugare and Phindile, who manage the house, are incredibly helpful and cook a delicious breakfast. They really go out of their way to make one feel comfortable. You are treated like family. I would visit again, especially for the treatment from the lovely ladies. The home shows age-related wear and tear, which could benefit from some TLC. The faucet in the bathroom and the glass vanity shelf inside the shower need fixation. The shower floor and extractor fan in the toilet could do with a deep clean. The towels may need to be replaced soon. Due to the size and layout of the house, sound from the common areas travels freely, which can be disruptive even from inside a closed room. The room is dimly lit, which is exacerbated by the dark wood furniture. It is unclear if this is part of the aesthetic or if it requires maintenance.

• Mona (9/5): - Rugare und ihre Kollegin waren tolle Gastgeberinnen. Die Zimmer sind groß und haben alles, was man braucht. Sichere und ruhige Gegend. Mein Zimmer hatte eine Glastür, die nur durch einen Vorhang verdeckt werden konnte. Allerdings war der Vorhang aussen und nicht im Zimmer. Das fand ich sehr unangenehm.
• Paulo (8/5): A hospedagem do anúncio é muito boa. - O café da manhã é muito bom, reservei 3 quartos no hotel, e apenas um quarto foi de fato no hotel que reservei, esse quarto era muito bom, nada a reclamar. Os outros dois quartos que reservei nos colocaram em outra acomodação que ficava a uns 8 minutos caminhando, essa acomodação era inferior, os quartos não tinham ar condicionado, fora que estávamos com malas e não estávamos de carro. Isso sim foi surreal, as funcionárias não queriam nem mostrar aonde era essa outra acomodação, tive que pedir para o gerente que o mínimo que tinham que fazer era pedirem um Uber para transportar meus outros amigos com as malas para a outra acomodação.

• Anca (7/5): Overall it’s ok for a short stay, if you just plan to sleep there - The guest house is in a safe area and it offers parking inside the yard which is great. The bed is ok and the host is very friendly. The WiFi works great. The room we were given was extremely noisy given that it’s right next to the kitchen, so if someone decides to cook at 6am,which happened during our first day, you will wake up. Also the door bell is extremely loud. Everything seems to be a bit outdated, but if you are not planning to spend a lot of time inside, it shouldn’t be an issue.

• Karen (5/5): Could've been better. - Staff was friendly and the location was perfect for me. It was just little things where it fell short. The TV wasn't working, I told the staff member, and she told me to restart it. I said I had, and she just reiterated that I need to restart it, then went to bed. I didn't want to bug her, because it was already just after 21h00, I think. The coffee wasn't full, so I used the last of it on the first morning, and it wasn't refilled. Luckily, I had a feeling that would be the case, and I bought my own coffee for my last morning there. No shower cap, no hairdryer. Also, I didn't realise I had to arrange with staff to leave early on my last day. I felt really bad that they then had to wake up to let me out, as someone has to physically open and close the gate, and there is no security box or anything, so you can let yourself out and leave the keys. I don't really understand how it has such a good rating. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely fell short of expectations based on the good reviews.

The housekeeper told me I was meant to inform them about dietary requirements - however I was unaware of that prior to my stay. When I said I was lactose intolerant, they said that they already did the shopping for the time and couldn’t accommodate me. One of the milk pods in the room had gone off as well. The tea container had a mix of normal black tea and rooibos loose tea bags so they flavours mixed. The coffee container in the room was clearly not fresh because it was dried out solid. The kettle had ants in it.

• Richard (7/5): I enjoyed breakfast and the staff is very gracious. - Beautiful views. There were little bugs that were in the room but not enough for me to worry. Hot water is off from evening till morning so you cannot take a shower after 6:00 or 7:00pm

The guesthouse is also in a great location only a few minutes from Nelson Mandela Square. Would highly recommend!

The neighborhood is quiet. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make us feel at home. And, most importantly, it's pet friendly! I know this sounds like a line, but I can't think of anything. There's a reason we keep returning to this property - because it meets our needs so perfectly!

I will happily stay at the guesthouse again. - Beautiful, comfortable, spacious room with a lovely view of the garden and swimming pool. Clean and spacious bathroom. Lovely outside area to sit and relax in. Delicious vegan breakfast (as per my request), cooked by the friendly and welcoming staff member, Rugare. The host was also extremely helpful with advice and directions when I got lost on the way to the property from the airport! Nothing - I was happy with everything.
