- Chloe (10/5): Perfect and cosy! Wonderful place to stay! - Cosy, clean and perfect location! Surroundings are lovely and ample parking! Emma and Steve really lovely and checking if I needed anything during my stay! N/A
- julie (10/5): Fabulous stay -
- Julie (10/5): A great place chill - We loved everything about The Orchard Retreat ❤️. It was exactly what we needed. The attention to detail was spot on. It was quiet, comfy, cozy and welcoming. We were blessed with some sun but it was such an amazing little space that I wouldn't have minded if it was snowing. Would definitely recommend. The only thing we didn't like was that our stay was so short.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Elleanna (9/5): - We had a lovely stay at the Orchard Retreat whilst attending a wedding in the area. Ted’s Shack and Hut were clean, beautiful, and very efficient in their use of space! The little treats in the fridge / cupboard were a perfect touch. Being able to watch the sheep was great as well. A lovely place! A little bit cramped, and there is also no wifi which is my fault for not checking. We enjoyed the break but it made booking taxis / looking up the area slightly difficult. But these are not necessarily bad things! We loved our stay.
- Connolly (10/5): -
- Kian (10/5): It was beautiful - Clean cozy and amazing Nothing
- Bridge (10/5): - I had a lovely time here, property was extremely clean on arrival, and smelt wonderful. Everything I could have possibly needed was provided for, so thoughtful and inclusive. I would 100% come back!
- Dean (8/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - The shepherds hut was lovely, very well equipped for a lovely stay. The little snug with seating in was brilliant in the evening, we spent hours there playing games. Everything was thought of :) There wasn't anything we didn't not like!
- Guest (10/5): Perfect place for a couples night away, would 100% recommend - Lovely place, perfect couple staycation
- Graeme (10/5): -
- Maria (10/5): -
- Sam (10/5): - An incredibly wholesome getaway. The shepherds hut has been done to an excellent standard and with the additional building there's plenty of room whilst still feeling super cosy! The hosts were great and would really like to thank them for our stay. Nothing!
- Victoria (10/5): Amazing stay! So relaxing. So helpful and accommodating for specia requests. Will 100% stay again soon. Thank you - It was so welcoming!! So relaxing.
- Lindsey (4/5): - Location was very good, but...
The description said Kitchen, but it consisted of a very tiny sink, no cooker, just a microwave as itemised later in the description. No microwave dishes to use in it.
No hooks etc for hanging clothes...
Shiwer was ok and toilet, but the wash basin was weeny over the back of the toilet cistern... Very awkward to use.
Very clean and heater was appreciated as the weather was getting coolet.
No phone signal... I know this happens in alot if places, but felt quite vulnerable at times.
I managed OK but wouldn't book again. Sorry Sorry... See above
- Liam Macca (10/5): Beautiful hut - Absolutely amazing beautiful hut. Owners were fantastic and should open more. Great service, thanks for letting me use your amazing facilities. It had everthing. So comfortable x

- DinkyDaisy (10/5): Highly recommend! - Really sweet little cabin. Easy to find and great parking. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again! The bed is a little small but that is expected and didn't hinder our stay.

- michelle (9/5): - Beautiful quirky retreat in a perfect location. Super comfy bed. Super clean. Lovely hosts. Bonus little bar a 1 minute walk away Everything was lovely, but we wished the fridge had been a little bigger
- Guest (10/5): Safe, comfortable and very relaxing - I loved the seclusion and the owners sheep 😁 watching squirrels and kites….
Overall a very clean, cosy well equipped little hut with great outdoor extras like a lounge hut and hammock and seating. A great parking area and outside lighting… and plenty of wood etc for fire pit.
And the owners went about and beyond to help me out during my stay. Only observation… the window next to the bed maybe should have clear glass the same as the kitchen … for watching the world and wildlife from bed 😁😁
- Matthew (10/5): Wonderful - Great place very clean Everythink you need
- Sally (10/5): Excellent- Didn't want to leave ! - Beautiful setting, lovely and clean, comfy bed and good communication beforehand. Nothing really. Shower was tricky to get the right temperature but was fine in the end. Probably me not looking at instructions !
- Odette (8/5): Pleasant stay in pretty surroundings; a break from the rat race - Pretty location, easy to find and access, close to Shrewsbury. Facilities were clean and comfortable Not applicable
- Anonymous (10/5): Relaxing - Location was beautiful and very quiet lovely little shack/hut, provided everything required for a comfortable stay
- Adam (10/5): Wow, wow and wow! - Wow, what a beautiful hidden gem! The location, the setting, the decor everything was just beautiful. They definitely go the extra with the treats left for us which was a lovely surprise. They have a box of little games you can use, lots of leaflets so you can explore, even feminine products! How amazing 👏
We loved sitting with the window open listening to the sheep and birds, it was just what we needed. Have already sent details of this place to many friends! Absolutely nothing we didn't like, apart from the fact we only booked one night! Will definitely stay longer next time.
- Liene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - All of it. It was so cosy, relaxed, spotless, and clean. Everything you needed is there, very well supplied. Love it!
- Dawn (10/5): Cosy retreat - The Orchard Retreat shepherds hut was immaculate. Cosy, and had everything I needed for my short stay (and even little treats which were well received thank you). I felt safe there knowing the owners were nearby too. Enjoyed seeing the animals in the field behind too! Great communication from Steve and Emma and I look forward to being able to visit again in the summer possibly. Thank you very much Emma and Steve.
- Beca (10/5): Lovely weekend away - Such a cute shepherds hut. Amazing location with plenty of information about taxi’s and pubs for the area. The hut is beautifully decorated and very well mentaind. All the little extra bits such as drinks, milk, jams, tea lights was such a thought gesture. Would definitely recommend staying here. And will be looking forward to stay here again

- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikki (10/5): Exceptional - Very quiet and out the way. The bed in not designed for tall people
- Diana (9/5): Wonderful, peaceful stay in immaculate and cosy shepherds - Lovely, peaceful location and immaculate accommodation. Plenty of parking and well-gravelled path to the hut. Many thoughtful touches, such as treats in the fridge, fire pit (ready with wood) and hammock and very helpful and responsive hosts. Wish we had been staying longer than one night! If staying more than one night in poor weather, you might miss a couple of comfy easy chairs, but for an overnight stay it wasn’t an issue - most hotel rooms at this price don’t have two easy chairs either! Only other suggestion would be a smaller kettle that fits under the tap more easily.
- Adey (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (7/5): Very peaceful location - No breakfast available and no way to cook a breakfast , nice touches were very thoughtful like milk , biscuits etc Bedding to warm and no way to cook except the microwave

We loved it all. We found the shower difficult to use, even following the guidance but we got there in the end so no complaints.

Kitchen was described as “fully functional” but it consisted of a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster - which was fine accept we had bought food that needed an oven/bbq after reading fully functional!
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Fabulous location with an excellent eye for detail. - Lovely secluded location. We spent one night there after the Soft Cell show in Shrewsbury. Just a short drive to this historic town. Superbly kitted out with an excellent eye for detail. We will visit again.
