Guest Reviews
- Julie (8/5): Good location - Staff were excellent food very good and enjoyed the busy pub. We didn’t like room 3 -too small and didn’t like the room set up.
- Nigel (10/5): Good food and very friendly and helpful staff - Friendly Small rooms but adequate for us
- Loughney (7/5): Cosy, village pub with stunning views and walks straight out of the door. - Lovely bar a charm of a village pub. Great breakfast and evening meal. Staff very attentive. One of the starters was brought out cold but once highlighted it was addressed very quickly and the staff kindly removed it from our bill.

- Dawn (10/5): Fantastic village pub and accommodation. - Loved it here. Beautiful room. Great pub, amazing food. Very happy to recommend this accommodation. Definitely putting on the list of places to revisit. Nothing.
- Norton (5/5): Nice area, food passable. Would not stay again. - Not sure what was going on in the roof space above our room at night, but it sounded like it had been invaded by squirrels or other such vermin. That and late at night it sounded as though someone was dragging crates along the pathway.
- Guy (7/5): - The pub was lovely as was the breakfast and the service was very good,,and a beautiful village 😆👍 The village and the breakfast
- Douglas (9/5): Excellent stay - We liked the location in a very quaint village very welcoming atmosphere, At that present moment couldn't fault it ,

- Ian (8/5): - Great location. Welcome was lovely, showing us the room etc.
Food was great, although I ordered Stew and Dumplings, and only had 1.
Fabulous breakfast and the morning staff were excellent. Dinner staff were 2 untrained, inexperienced girls who knew nothing about the menu or customer service.
Menu saidll Stew and Dumplings, but only had 1.
- BeckyJ71 (9/5): Friendly local pub stay - Very friendly and hard working staff. This is a local pub/restaurant as well as an inn and the team aims to please. The breakfast was very nice. Our room had recently been redone and had a little balcony patio which had a lovely view. Parking is on the street.
- Gavin Bamford (10/5): A really nice village pub .... - The comfortable accommodation in a chalet location outside the main bar. An excellent breakfast was served. Unfortunately, on arrival on Sunday teatime, food had ceased being served at 4pm.
- Cheryl (9/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was lovely, bed was comfortable and there's a good selection of teas and coffees. Great location for a walk up to Bolton Castle across the fields. The only thing was the humming of the fridge in the room kept me awake. I'd stay again, though.
- Tina (8/5): Very pleasant - Clean, comfortable and friendly staff Nothing

The evening meal was also excellent the steak pie was really good
It was my partner's birthday and or prior request baked a special birthday cake

- Loreto (10/5): Excellent venue! - This is the second time staying at the pub, after visiting it multiple times in the past. This is an excellent stop in the Yorkshire dales with the most friendly staff and excellent facilities. The room where we stayed had been renovated so it was even better!
Breakfast is delicious! Nothing :)
- Paul (10/5): An excellent and comfortable place to stay. Perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. - The pub had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's ideally located to explore the local area with lots of stunning scenery and walks. The Accommodation was excellent, very clean and well equipped and very quiet. The pub serves a nice variety of food and great beers to, the breakfast was spot on.
- Hugh (10/5): - Lovely community pub in the picturesque village of Redmire near Bolton Castle. Comfortable, well appointed rooms. The owner could not have been more helpful and welcoming, even though we arrived soaked to the skin right in the middle of Sunday lunch service. Good breakfast, too.

- Pete (9/5): Redmire overnighter - A warm welcome greeted us and was shown to our room..
Nice and Clean and cosy with all bits and bobs you need with the added extra of a fridge.
The pub was lovely, everything you would expect and need from a typical, very welcoming country pub after walking all day..
Very friendly staff, fantastic food at very good prices..
Definitely recommend I understand we had the smallest room on the plot which was absolutely fine for an overnight stay although a little cramped with two of you and there is no view from the one and only window.
Would still come back again..
- Angela (10/5): - Staff were great couldn't do enough to help. Great little community pub
- Nicola (8/5): -
- Geoffrey (10/5): Our stay was all that we expected. - Breakfast was good .The location is great
- Guy (8/5): -
- Geoffrey (10/5): Absolute gem of a find . A real old English village pub , surrounded by breathtaking countryside . The Timothy Taylor’s - Very quiet , and comfortable. The bed was really comfy , and the linen was very good quality . The room was in a separate block 20. yds from the pub . The staff were very helpful, and friendly . Tea , and coffee were provided . The internet connection was excellent . Apart from the bathroom being a tad small , and cold , which wasn’t a real problem.
- Ciara (10/5): - We stayed for NYE and had a fabulous time. We made to feel so welcome. Gorgeous pub Great food, great people 💚 N/A
- Sharon (9/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Very enjoyable stay in every aspect. - In no particular order: Lovely breakfast. Fried bread an unexpected bonus.
Fresh milk in the room for Yorkshire tea.
Modern socket outlets with USB charging.

Could hardly move after Christmas dinner.

- Dodds (10/5): A perfect pub for a dog friendly weekend away - Everything, from top to bottom our stay at the Redmire Village Pub was perfect. From the first pint at check in through to the final breakfast before checking out. Everything was simply perfect.
Every single staff member went above and beyond to making us feel welcome. The pub lives up to the title of dog friendly and they welcomed our two really well behaved dogs with open arms. A special thank you to the staff who were incredibly accommodating of our youngest dog who can be very nervouss
The rooms are incredibly spacious and well presented. The facilities inside are incredibly modern and the bed was super comfortable.
Both the breakfast and evening meals were to an incredibly high standard and the drinks selection was second to none. Being entirely honest there wasn't a single thing we didn't like about the pub. We'll be coming back very soon

- Peter (8/5): Very good place for a short stay - Location is fabulous - in the heart of Wensleydale. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, food is good (we had both breakfast and dinner) with huge portions (I actually had to leave some!) Minor things - fridge in bedroom was so noisy we had to turn it off overnight.
- Jacob (8/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): We found the redmire village pub very interesting from the staff on arrival to us leaving. The room - We found everything lovely staff food and the room There was nothing to dislike
- mick (10/5): Very nice B/B - Was lovely little pub nice and warm lovely staff very friendly and helpful food was very good 👍 would room was reasonable what you expect nice bed tea and coffee ☕️ milk in fridge and bottle water, nice shower 🚿.
Only thing i could not get working was the radiator as was a little cold in room but maybe heating was not turn on yet?
Breakfast was very good overall very nice B/B would definitely recommend it if passing that was again 😀
Thanks. Couldn't get radiator to work.

- Siobhan (8/5): Very good -
- Keith (9/5): Excellent friendly staff. Everything was spotless. Breakfast was probably one of the best I have ever had. - Great village pub and restaurant used by locals as well as visitors. No sink in toilet and shower room. The sink was located in the bedroom.

- Paul (9/5): Superb - Think it is run by the people from the village...... All staff were ladies... Could not do enough for you Everything was spot on
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly, food was really nice, told we could be waiting for our food due to having a big party in, wasn't waiting any longer than usual, room was clean and tidy, staff where very helpful
- Brian (10/5): Fantastic village pub with B&B accommodation - Excellent location in a lovely village. Welcoming and friendly staff. Great restaurant and delicious breakfast.
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely country pub in a very nice little village. Staff are very friendly. Very reasonably priced for what you get.
Breakfast was very good, a good-sized cooked breakfast, couldn't fault it. Because we opened the sky light and the room was above the kitchen, we got the smell of food cooking in the bedroom, but this stops around 8-30 pm. Moving forward, we would suggest just opening the main window and the sky light when you go to sleep, which is very cooling through the night.
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Shaun (9/5): Superb -
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trudy (10/5): First trip to Yorkshire. - Nothing too much trouble. Kerrie & her crew were fabulous.
Very pretty village, bigger than I expected. Only the fact that my arthritis flared up & i couldn't do the walks i would've like to do. Just unfortunate, noones fault.
- Laura (8/5): Great little village pub with good food - Quiet little village. Great staff. Good food. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable.. Host was able to facilitate an early breakfast for us. Room was a bit small
- Chris (10/5): Great stay - Great location in Wensleydale lovely walks in all directions friendly host and the food was great Car parking a bit limited
- Karen (7/5): Picture perfect - The location was idyllic and the food was scrumptious! My room was a little.on the small size and didnt have any view. It was a room where pets were allowed so wd check the next time if I were in the main building rather than 'the annexe'.
- Ralph (9/5): Nice and relaxing - Breakfast was great Can't think of anything poor
- Nicholas (9/5): Superb -
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional bed and breakfast - Very clean and comfortable room. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food was really good. Nothing
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (8/5): Fabulous break in friendly pub with a few lovely walks from the village … didn’t want to go home. - Cosy room with balcony and gorgeous views
Friendly staff Always like to see a bit more choice on the vegetarian menu
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gill (9/5): Superb -
- Small (8/5): Good stay in nice pub in delightful village - The location, a remote village in the Yorkshire Dales was lovely and what we wanted. The Pub was attractive and the room though small was well fitted out and comfortable and the price very reasonable. The staff were friendly though a bit chaotic. There was a large funeral party in the bar but the Pub produced a well cooked if unadventurous supper for us as overnight guests and the noise from the party was unexpectedly very little. We would go there again and recommend it for anyone who wants a fairly simple country hotel They didn't warn us that the ONLY thing to eat the second night would be fish and chips \9we went to the next village because we had them the night before)
- Terri (8/5): Very good - The pub was nice and the food was great. Our room was a bit to small for us and it was difficult to get the temperature so it was comfortable, we always felt a bit too warm.
- Stephen (8/5): Friendly staff Good food - Breakfast was excellent
- Jenny (8/5): Lovely location and accommodation - Lovely accommodation, great location, very helpful staff, lovely food All good, would have been helpful to have information in the room re WiFi password, breakfast times etc. certainly not a deal breaker though!
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Henry (8/5): Very good - Cheerful staff No toiletries
- Heather (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (7/5): Redmire Village Pub - Welcoming staff. Nice pub well supported by locals. The room was very small. They seem to be converted cow byres or similar.
Having the wash hand basin some distance away from the WC, in the "main bedroom", was not good.
The noise from the fridge fan kept me awake for over an hour.
Too much light from outside penetrated the curtains.
No evening food on site on the day of our stay except a fish and chip van, but they did offer to book us in to the pub in the next village. That would have necessitated a drive and minimal or no alcohol.
- Craig (5/5): Staff were friendly, but out of all the accommodation we had over four weeks in the UK this one was the most disappointi - Staff were friendly. It was located in a small village. The room was warm. Room was very small. We booked a Deluxe King room and it was tiny. The bathroom was tiny and the sink was in the bedroom. Shower was very tight. The toilet did not not flush properly. Toilet roll holder was broken and toilet paper was on the spare roll holder. The kettle was filthy and even after boiling it three times, black stuff was still pouring out of it. We could not use it. The bed was comfortable but the quilt was not big enough for two people using the bed. We had trouble fitting ourself and one large suitcase in the room.
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raymond (9/5): Superb - The location was good and the breakfast excellent. The property was spotlessly clean if on the small side. The staff were very friendly and the proprietor Kerry extremely helpful and obliging.Had a really Room could have been bigger
- Melanie (9/5): Friendly and enjoyable - Nuce and friendly Nothing
- Peter (10/5): Would love to return, exceptional - Breakfast was excellent, every evening we had our dinner and drinks in the pub as well as the food was excellent and prices were good
- Paul (9/5): Perfect location with a great place to stay. - The team (Kelyn, Kim, Elsie, Kelsey and others that I can’t name were absolutely charming and efficient. The atmosphere is wonderful because of them. There’s nothing I need to mention here. I left very happy!
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Great area brilliant pub and accommodation excellent food real ale and very friendly staff. Would love to return. Nothing
- Zoe (10/5): Amazing accommodation lovely staff and exceptional food - I booked this as a Christmas present for my parents and they have just got back today and cudnt praise it enough said how amazing accommodation was how lovely the staff and other customers in their was they said the food was exceptional so all round 10/10 from them :)
