Kursten (10/5): One of the most peaceful and relaxing stays I’ve had anywhere - Wonderful location and spotlessly maintained property, friendly and very helpful staff, even got to use sea canoes at dawn each morning to watch the coastline come to life. Very quiet and peaceful location.
Bonny (10/5): Staying at Villa Saffraan in Lovina was the high point of our Bali experience - if we go back to Bali we would definitel - The villa was comfortable, spacious and clean. It has a well maintained beautiful garden and fabulous pool which looks out onto the beach. The position was quiet and private. The staff (particularly the housekeeper) were lovely. She is an excellent cook so we ate in most nights on freshly cooked Balinese cuisine. Lovina is far north and a very different experience from the east coast. There are so many different options for day trips - snorkelling off Menangang Island was world class. We also did a half day trek with Mayong Trekking and a tour guide which gave us more insight into normal Balinese life. Using drivers is a great way to get to know the Balinese. It’s a little secluded in terms of access so we needed a driver to take us anywhere. You can also book a boat off the beach.
