Guest Reviews
- Oscar (10/5): Blissfully relaxing with plenty of fun activities to keep us entertained. - Lovely relaxing vibe in a great location with plenty of activities to keep even the adventurous holidayers entertained. We had an amazing mix of fun surf, snorkeling and relaxing by the pool. The villas are great and the grounds / garden is incredible. The staff are amazing and super friendly, they will treat you like family. Great place to stay overall
- Michael (10/5): -
- Julia (10/5): A little Gem of a place. - Beautiful resort and people. Lived the stay. Nothing was too hard for them to organise and went out of their way to make our anniversary special. It is a little way out of Vila and the roads are very bumpy. If you are looking for close proximity to Vila it’s not the place for you. We really enjoyed being disconnected from the hustle and bustle.
- Sandra (10/5): -
- Hilary (10/5): -
- Benjamin (10/5): -
- jean-paul (10/5): Super hôtel ! Super séjour ! - Emplacement avec une très belle plage et des îlots accessibles en kayak, personnel très prévenant, très bonne table, les villas sont très spacieuses et confortables. Néant
- Lorraine (10/5): It was - Eratap resort was amazing, location. Food, facilities all excellent but mostly the friendly welcoming staff Nothing could have been better
- Ewan (10/5): -
- Tonia (10/5): Relaxation - Wing foiling; great wind
Great food Lack of surf!
Can you crank up the swell next time?
- Nicu (10/5): -
- Axel (10/5): -
- Paul (8/5): - Climate, uncrowded Nowhere to buy any food beyond the resort. Food at the resort a bit expensive
- Gareth (10/5): Next level relaxation - Well designed beachfront huts with whisper quiet and cold aircon. Super comfortable beds with blackout curtains ensured best sleep in years. Food was excellent. Nothing to complain about.
- Daphne (9/5): Peaceful and relaxing with stunning snorkelling, kayaking, hiking and trips in a beautiful location. - Everything was fabulous. Great food, location, staff, facilities. Thanks! Everything was incredible and if we had to come up with anything it would be good if the waste plastic, bottles etc could be cleared up from the area around the jetty
- Alan (10/5): -
- Stuart (8/5): Lovely resort, great activities - Great resort - very tranquil and relaxing. The rooms are good size and plenty of activities for a couple night stay. Paddle boarding, kayaking, tennis, gym, spa, and tennis all onsite with additional complimentary daily activities offered. The team they have at Eratap are what really makes it a great place to stay - so friendly and welcoming. The food offering is ok. The presentation, flavour and options are average.
- NASSER (10/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Grace (10/5): Wow wow wow! - Wow, amazing location set right on the reef. The facilities were the highlight, access to snorkelling equipment, surfboards, bikes, SUPS and kayaks, as well as complimentary shuttle bus into town each day and use of the resorts boat and driver.
- Fiona (9/5): Our favourite family holiday - Loved the location. We were happy to be away from town. It felt like we were on a secluded island. Also loved it how it wasn’t busy, great for us all to unwind. We loved our time at Eratap. Bonus was staff made us feel like family.
- Curt (10/5): Best 5 star option on Vanuatu - Caring and engaging staff. The reef is world class. Beautiful property. Simple, fresh, well prepared food. Maybe a touch more variety of dining options for a week-long stay.
- Nicholas (9/5): -
- Tye (10/5): -
- Wayne (10/5): - Excellent location, great friendly staff and the food was surpurb. Nothing
- Rod (10/5): Worth every cent, possibly best option in Vanuatu - Amazing - brilliant service, great location (good snorkelling straight off the beach) got to see Dugongs on morning kayak paddles, access to kayaks / SUPs / very attentive boat service all included and the food was really good. On top of all that they were punctual and great with communication and local advice.
- Erik (9/5): Superb -
- Kate (10/5): Relaxing and luxurious stay - The location is beautiful and the hotel offers many activities throughout the day. The accomodation was clean and spacious. The staff were lovely and were very helpful in suggesting and organising activities outside of the hotel.
- Natolie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything ! Convenient, relaxing, quiet and just what we needed for a quick break! Loved waking up to the sound of the waves..
- Anita (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff, wonderful snorkelling
- Martin (10/5): A well run great place - My recent stay at Eratap Beach Resort was exceptional! The villa was incredibly spacious, offering ample room to relax and unwind. Despite experiencing an earthquake during our stay, we were pleasantly surprised at how well-prepared the resort was. Thanks to their own generators and Starlink internet, we remained comfortable and connected without any disruption. The resort's stunning location, attentive staff, and top-notch amenities made our stay memorable and worry-free. Highly recommend Eratap Beach Resort for a truly serene getaway.
- Robert (9/5): The most relaxing holiday to date - Location was excellent, just 30 minutes out of Port Vila. Extremely quiet and the most amazing snorkelling right on your front doorstep. The Staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and the air con in the bedroom was a bonus. The menu was extensive. Nothing bad to say about this wonderful property
- Antony (9/5): Superb - Incredible relaxed place to break from reality
absolute beach front with large amount of facilities for the few rooms
Fantastic breakfast and food generally
Enjoyed water sports - wander down at any time and use - no sign outs or dealing with staff
Whenever used large pool always had it to ourselves
Recommend picnic on nearby island the snorkelling coral and fish there were amazing
Friendly helpful staff Liked it all
- Wayne (9/5): thoroughly enjoyable -
- Wayne (9/5): Great facilities, people and location. Will come again. - Great breakfast selection.
Inclusive boat to islands and snorkeling appreciated Couldn’t access the TV, too complex or instructions inadequate.
- Nima (10/5): Very relaxing - Staff were very friendly Food was great but can be better.
- Monica (9/5): Enjoyed our stay . Snorkelling was good there , - The manager and staff were exceptionally attentive to our needs Quieteness
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Everything
Free activities, especially boat to the islands
Great food
Lovely staff
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): great place to honeymoon and best food we had in Vanuatu. Super friendly resort staff - food and staff nothing
- Flávia (9/5): Lovely place to relax, amazing landscapes - The place is amazing, you can take the small boats of the hotel for free to explore the islands right in front. The view is stunning. Spacious room, very quiet, peaceful, lovely staff always helping so you can have a perfect staying. The gym is very old, could use some renovation, Wi-Fi didn’t work inside the main bedroom (vila 10), the food is expensive and not that great (ex: we ordered carbonara and it came like scrambled eggs)
- Ivonne (10/5): This place is perfect to relax and wind down whilst offering a range of included activities. - The use of traditional materials gave a charming island vibe. Each villa had a separate bedroom and lounge with a full bathroom plus outdoor shower. There was straight access to the beach with our own private cabana at the beach. A pool and fitness center were also available alongside free use of selected water sport equipment. There was not much to dislike, however it should be noted that there is no aircon in the living room, but there is a fan.
- Donald (10/5): Great Adults only get away. Beautiful, peaceful, outstanding staff! - The entire staff was fantastic. Most of them live in the nearby Eratap village and take great pride in their work.
Pascal, the manager, was fantastic. When Vanuatu Airlines never put our luggage on the plane ( along with 41 other pieces) she was quick to followup with the airline and arrange for a ride to the airport to pick up our Luggage.
If you are flying to Vanuatu- Fly any airline but Air Vanuatu. We had boarding passes to Fiji for our return flight. When we got to the airport, we found out the flight was cancelled with no notice. They put us up at a local hotel for the night, ( after 3 hours of dealing with their service desk)squeezed us on the next day flight - I’m sure someone else got bumped off, and never paid for the extra 2 nights we had to pay for because we had missed our connecting flight that only goes 3X per week. There were some geckos & an occasional roach in our room but that’s goes with staying in the tropics.
- Logan (10/5): Perfect honeymoon - Our room was great, snorkelling and kayaking was amazing and the staff were brilliant
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (9/5): Superb -
- Renee (9/5): We'd love to visit again the resort was brilliant... it was hard to leave!! - The food was outstanding as well as the restaurant staff and of course the location.
We enjoyed being able to be taken out to the various reefs for snorkelling etc.
NYE band was brilliant as well as the fire dancers on another evening.
It was a bonus to have the use of bikes and kayaks.
Plunger coffee available in our villa. The moody front desk lady at reception i think her name was Leaha? She made us feel uncomfortable to ask questions and was reluctant to smile.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wayne (9/5): Perfect for us - Perfect spot for Father and son to do some surfing and drinking beers together Nothing loved it
- Phillip (9/5): Eratap Beach Resort is a piece of paradise. Beautiful setting, the most friendly and helpful staff. - The morning breakfast was excellent, varied menu and plentiful.
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathleen (10/5): Stunningly beautiful quiet resort with a true Island feel and experience - Everything! Stunning quiet remote resort away from any noise and light at night. Resort bus goes into Port Vila each morning (free) if you want a town fix! Beautiful rooms each with a private beach front area. The staff are wonderful, great resort activities and we loved our boat trip to Castaway island. Snorkelling, kayak and SUP anytime at the lagoon - just help yourself! Great little restaurant overlooking the beach, we dined on the sand. Food is westernish but lovely, nothing really traditional. Great cocktails! Tip - bring cash and change it the money changers (really good rate) and pay large bills with direct transfer (most places have Aus accounts) avoid 3-5% credit card fees! Nothing! The prices in Vanuatu generally are not cheap for tourists and this resort is no exception. But the food, drinks and service were awesome so we didn’t care.
- Andrew (9/5): Stunning - Great location, food and staff. Stunning location. Very easy to access other activities outside of the resort. Local tours and resort activities were interesting and water access a dream. Missed out on the seafood platter which was disappointing.
- Dave (10/5): Made our honeymoon so much more special. A beautiful resort we can’t wait to come back! - The property is beautiful, the staff are so warm and welcoming and nothing is an issue. The resort has everything you need which allows you to just relax.
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (10/5): Paradise all in one location. - Loved the Villa we were in Deluxe Villa 2 for 8 nights. Perfect positioning. Very private, fresh coffee and plunger. Outdoor shower. Breakfast 5 star and included. The itemised bill coming out each day so we could sign off and know what we spent. Everything. Snorkelling out front and at castaway private island was superb when the sunny and not too windy. Menus could do with a change more regularly. Could get a little bored with the same food, Through we managed to make a few tweaks to the menu items to suit our needs.
- Audrey (10/5): If you want a get away from it all relaxing holiday, but want some luxuries and comfort, this is a great option. Advice - Welcome - drink and duty manager sat and explained everything about the resort, and options for activities and trips
Location - stunning. Sand, clear blue sea, amazing sunsets.
Food - great. Lots of fish. Stayed a week, plenty of choice/options, which is good as no alternative nearby.
Staff - lovely, friendly and all from local village The beach with best snorkelling (outside restaurant) was closed most of the time we were there, due to tide and waves. But you could go out on one of the boats to snorkel, or one of the other 2 beaches at the resort.
- Tanele (10/5): Excellent - Loved the location! Villa 11 was so private! We had the best time! Restaurant had delicious food and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (10/5): Idyllic interlude away. - Our villa was spacious and comfortable. Lovely back garden fronting the beach with beachside cabana. Private outdoor courtyard with shower accessible from the garden and the bathroom. Separate bath and shower was welcome. Separate and spacious living area to stretch out and relax. On one day we had a picnic prepared for us and we’re taken to a private island off the resort for swimming and snorkelling.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Weather but that is obviously beyond the control of the resort!
- Gayle (8/5): Very happy, wounderful staff and management. - Probably not enough healthy lunch options. Loved the Caesar salad, but would have liked a few other similar options. Eg. roast veg salad or Thai salad, with our without meat, chicken or seafood.
- John (10/5): Did not disappoint. What a resort. What a country. - Coral reef at the hotel is great. The staff are so friendly. Pool was beautiful too. Genuinely an unforgettable week. The food was slightly disappointing. We found the food to be quite bland and there weren’t many options. You’re forced to eat at the resort to a certain degree as you’re quite far from town. Some of the meals were nice but largely hit and miss.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Finau (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Celia (9/5): Just like many other reviews, just a Wonderful experience. - Excellent Location for a Resort. Breakfast was Very Nice.
The manager, Pascalle, and the whole staff team at the resort were very friendly and always ready to help with anything.
The whole experience was Wonderful.
Also the massage therapist at the resort, Julia, is Excellent. I had a wonderful massage session with her.
I highly recommend Julia. Not applicable.
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): magnificent and can’t wait to return - the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere nothing
- Amanda (10/5): Entire experience must be complimented - staff, service, food, amenities. Thank you! - Location, rooms, restaurant/food = perfect.
The staff and service made our stay even more enjoyable.
Snorkelling, island trips, tennis, spa - we could not want for more!
Communication from the reservations team was prompt & informative. We arrived 1 week after 2 cyclones hit the island.
Cannot recommend Eratap enough - perfect to escape, relax & enjoy life.
- Elisa (9/5): relaxing, clean and beautiful - everything in terms of location, the villa, the food nothing, maybe a little more consistency in how the cocktails are served
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonna (9/5): Superb - the possibility to snorkel right in front of the bungalow, the pool and the facilities were great! a bit far away and the road was not great, the spa shower was a bit dirty
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phillips (10/5): The most relaxing and best honeymoon resort - What an amazing resort to stay at!
We went for our honeymoon and just wow!! The location was great, and the free services such as snorkelling and kayaking on site were even better, but the staff were fantastic. Cannot fault this place at all, if we ever come back to vanuatu we will be staying here again.
- Anthony (9/5): A hidden little paradise - The staff could not do enough to make our stay delightful. The room was fantastic and I have never snorkelled such a vibrant reef straight off the beach in front of our bungalow. If you want to switch off and immerse yourself in snorkelling, kayaking or surfing, you won’t find a better place than this. The breakfasts were great but lunch and dinner could be hit and miss. The food is pretty good for Pacific standards but some dishes were honestly not ok. The menu itself was pretty good, but the execution was lacking. One night we ordered sirloin steaks and had to send them back because they were so tough our knives couldn’t cut them. Another night I ordered grilled tuna which was over cooked to the point of not resembling tuna. It was the only thing that I could fault and I hope they work it out because everything else was fantastic.
Given the remote location of the resort, it’s not that easy to have dinner elsewhere as it’s a half hour drive in to Port Vila but can be arranged. The resort runs a daily shuttle bus in to Vila so you could have lunch there if you wanted. But honestly, the beauty of this place is staying out and forgetting the outside world for a while.
- Kiko (7/5): Good - The view is stunning and the staff were very helpful. No mosquito repellent provided in the hotel, so you will need to bring your own. Found a lots of dead small bug eggs under pillow. Aircon will stop itself at the midnight for saving energy.
- Toula (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (10/5): Perfect paradise - Can't even aptly describe how wonderful this place was! My husband and I spent 5 days here and it felt like weeks - we were so relaxed when we left.
The staff were so friendly and helpful! We will definitely come back!
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (10/5): Awesome, very relaxing and awesome place to visit - What we really liked about this place was nothing was a problem, anything could be arranged and without hesitation, they didn’t penny pinch you either! They were more than willing to direct you and advise you on the best things to do.
The manager was very nice and very knowledgeable. Nothing
- Brad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darryl-lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (9/5): Superb - Eratap Beach Resort is set in a beautiful location, having access to the whole peninsula. An amazing coral reef for snorkeling is on one side while a lagoon perfect for kayaking or paddle boarding is on the other (all equipment provided by the resort). The villa itself is very comfortable, clean and has everything you could ever need. We looked straight onto the beach and watched the sun set from our private cabana. The restaurant offer a great breakfast and more fine dining meal options at night. Despite being fully booked, it felt very quiet and private.
- Patrick (10/5): it was awesome, apart from our nightly visitor - the setting as mad as I sound the village had was haunted. will go back to the resort but won’t stay in the same villa
- Thomas (10/5): Can’t go wrong - Everything. All the other good reviews pretty much say it all. The daily activities are a nice touch. Close enough to the main airport to make things easy, but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. Excellent snorkeling. If the budget allows it, highly recommend the private pool villa option. NA
- Meg (10/5): Our favourite place in Vanuatu - The property was immaculate, all amenities were easy to access and staff extremely helpful with any questions.
- Phil (10/5): Excellent stay - Breakfast was excellent, the boat trips to the island were amazing, we loved the space around the villas & the privacy.
- Joscelyn (10/5): Best relaxing holiday - This was a fantastic holiday, totally relaxing and a little gem. It was peaceful and the best holiday to recharge the batteries. The location, the amazing staff, good food and beach location. Loved every minute, wish we stayed longer!
- Julian (10/5): A wonderful short stay - The staff were fantastic. We had a query about where to source a special souvenir, and they were able to deliver. The resort is beautiful, and not too quiet or too busy. Really enjoyed our private trip to Castaway Island, and the food. Nothing, everything was great.
- Cinde (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynda (10/5): Amazing, already booked to come back in a couple of months - The breakfast options were amazing, just enough food. The chef was very accomodating, considering my daughter gluten free needs. The coffee was always served hot and the staff attentive I thought the spa staff didn't communicate well with reception staff
