• Nicky (10/5): - I have stayed in 3 different self check in places since last Friday this one had the worst ratings but in my opinion it was the best once you were upstairs if you wanted the bathroom or kitchen you didn't have to go back down the stairs it was straight outside the room.ok a little bit tired but clean and very big room and it was the cheapest would definitely recommend 👍

• Lucy (4/5): Wouldn’t come back - Bed was comfy Stunk of smoke, kitchen facilities were none existent amd washing facilities were poor. Shower stopped working half way through went freezing then water stopped coming out. Took a £20 holding deposit that I haven’t got back cos I left 15 mins late but if the shower actually worked I’d of been able to get ready and leave in time
• Rachael (4/5): Very basic bed for the night. - The bed was comfortable. It was warm in the afternoon. No parking available as there where no spaces plus the alleyway was to small to fit my car down. I had to park down a random side street. It was a nightmare to locate. No numbers on property. Despite watching the videos it was a struggle to do the locks , i messaged for assistance, they told me to watch the videos! Very basic facilities, smells damp. Live silverfish on the bathroom floor at night. The blind barely blocked out the light. It was cold at night and in the morning when you need heating on not in the mid afternoon. I didn’t use the shower or kettle I couldn’t bring myself too.

• Seymour (5/5): It’s a nice central location in the heart of Barnsley but the bathroom and kitchen need work - The location was close to where I needed to be for my time in Barnsley. The bed was really comfortable to sleep in The check in process was kind of wonky and unclear due to some changes in the area since the check in video (on YouTube) was created. I didn’t realize the bathroom would be shared and the shower pressure was horrible. Kitchen was filthy. Luckily my stay was only 2 nights but those factors really put a damper on my stay
• Ajagbe (6/5): My stay was fair. I had a nice time but the lighting issue was an unpleasant experience. - The location of the property was quite good. It made it very easy for me to get to where I was going on time because of the bus stop that was just a few walk from the property. With regards to breakfast, there was none. So, I can’t comment on that. I must admit I was not happy with the response of the property owner to customer’s request. On checking in, I observed that the light in the toilet was not functioning. I immediately notified the property owner and they promised to fix the issue the next day. Unfortunately, they never did till I checked out two days later. This was rather sad as I had to be using the toilet and bathroom in the dark.

• Eddy (1/5): Terrible & annoying - Nothing It was so difficult to locate the property. It was also difficult to locate the car park. Also I didn't realise that I need to pay a refundable damage deposit before receiving access code to the apartment because upon booking, the receipt said I do not need to make any further payment. Because of it I didn't end up staying the property and had to pay somewhere else.

• Hodges (1/5): Dirty room Doncaster road Barnsley - Nothing I was so so disappointed and disgusted with the room it was so unclean the mattress and bedding was absolutely full of stains the mattress needs burning. once I got relaxed in bed that's when the real problem started bed bugs everywhere I could not visit my family the next day because I was so frightened of taking bed bugs with me I had no sleep at all so absolutely knackered the next day. There was no hot water the people in the next room was playing music all night. I would not recommend anybody to stop at this place until the landlord gives the whole place a deep clean and gets some new mattresses

This was definitely NOT a deluxe room,it was dirty, there was a hole in the floorboards, we were put in a different bedroom to the one booked ! There was a broken pol.e in the wardrobe with only one coat hanger ! No cups at all in the kitchen and the whole place smelt from walking up the stairs to the bedroom ! We were bitterly disappointed with it.

• Patricia (1/5): Very disappointing experience. - I stayed at Apartment in Central Barnsley at the end of October 2025, and my experience was very poor. The apartment was dirty, with a strong smell of food and tobacco, mould in the shower, and stained carpets. The bed was uncomfortable and the bedding was in bad condition. In addition, the traffic noise was constant, the Wi-Fi barely worked, and the overall environment felt unhygienic. Nothing like the photos or the description shown online. I do not recommend this place and believe it should be reviewed before being listed on platforms such as Booking.com.

• Nicholas (1/5): Avoid, avoid, avoid. - Ease of check in Dirt on walls in accommodation, knife marks in the wall, no cutlery or cups , both upstairs door frames were insecure from being kicked in on previous occasions. I hired the room specifically because it had a balcony, but this was locked off with no key to the door and worst of all, I could hear people talking quite clearly whilst in the bathroom so decided to investigate, I opened the door to the boiler cupboard and I could see right through the floor down into the kitchen of an Indian restaurant below right over where the gas cooker was, altogether embarrassing set up and going to chase refund, I have video evidence of the take away kitchen and photo evidence of everything else mentioned

• Samantha (2/5): Horrible - The photo's do not look the same as the room when I first arrived I had a nightmare trying to access the property we opened the door and was welcomed with very damp smell on the stairs we finally got in and went to our room was very disappointed the pillows we very thin the bathroom needs updating no bath mats as I nearly slipped on the floor and also shouldn't you supply tea and coffee for guests when they arrive and to top it off we where right on the main road so no sleep I'm glad to be home has due to the damp in the property ive ended up with a serve chest infection I also been prescribed antibiotics and steroids as I suffer with copd and asthma so no will not be using this property again I'm know in bed really ill
• Ali (1/5): Stay clear - There was parking. I had to ask for the codes to gain access as it wasn't sent to me around check-in time an hour and a half past check-in time. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and weed. You can hear a smoke detector low battery cherp all the time. The restaurant downstairs music was very loud. It went off around 2130hrs. The back area where you park had rats running around. Someone kept smoking weed below the window, so having the window open was a pain. The shared bathroom had some silicone, which didn't dry and ended up all over the floor. Sadly I will not stay there again.

Tried the ring door bell hoping someone would answer n help me. No one answered it. I had to come to McDonalds to charge my phone thank god they had charging docs or I would never have got back into my room. The room itself and bathroom was dirty. There was a lot of banging and shouting at the back of 12 am. I was travelling myself and I was very scared. I tried to contact the owner with no response. I finally fell asleep back of 2 then up n out back of 7am as soon as I opened my eyes. I know it’s low budget but least of all they could do is make sure ur ok once u have checked in. Am not a snob by any means but that was poor. Hair band was on bed crumbs on the floor and someone’s nail glue. Room was Dirty and I had disturbing stay
