• sarah (9/5): Excellent little hotel with a personal touch. - Convenient, cosy, excellent staff, owner was particularly helpful and polite, lovely breakfast brought to our room at a time convenient to us. Good recommendations for places to eat. Good transport links nearby. Lovely, genuine local feel to the street we were on. Drain did smell in our bathroom but not sure if this is an issue generally in Istanbul.

Atila who worked at the desk was always helpful and gave good advice on the city. And the breakfast was excellent a really nice start to the morning Location is only 10/15 mind walk from taksim square but Istanbul has some steep walks up and down.
• elena_tso (10/5): The best place to stay in Istanbul! - The host was such a lovely person, very accomondating and hospitable! He even gave me a transport card for free. Loved the location of the hotel, as it was central, but quiet! You could easily walk to the conference centre and Taksim, with excellent transport links to the rest of the city. Such a cute little gem, definitely recommend it! Nothing really, it was such a lovely find!

Location is also okay, 15min walking to metro and on quiet street. Beds are very uncomfortable, which made sleeping quite difficult.

• Valeriu Botez (9/5): O cazare bună! - Gazda este un om deosebit, gata să te ajute oricând! Camerele sunt foarte curate, micul dejun grozav! Din păcate, poziționarea acestui hotel este destul de departe de locurile frumoase din Istanbul. Însă, ținând cont de raportul calitate și preț, merită să stai 2-3 zile.

Breakfast was offered but we didn't partake but other quests seemed to enjoy theirs. Facilities mentioned in advertising didn't exist. The room had no cooking facilities and eating equipment with the kitchenette mentioned and no washing machine.

• Evgeniia (10/5): Всё было отлично, чисто, удобная кровать, вкусные завтраки. - Очень уютный домашний отель, вкуснейшие завтраки приносили прямо в номер, очень удобно. Прекрасный и отзывчивый хозяин отеля помогал по любым вопросам и всегда был на связи! Удобное месторасположение: чуть вдали от центра, поэтому тихие улочки, нет толп, но при этом до исторического центра пару автобусных остановок. В следующий раз остановлюсь в этом же отеле!

• Ute (8/5): Herzliche entspannte Atmosphäre im Herzen der Metropole Istanbul - Attila betreute uns in dem kleinen, sehr privaten Hotel so herzlich - er spricht hervorragend englisch - man fühlt sich schon vor der eigentlichen Ankunft herzlich willkommen. Er zauberte uns ganz selbstverständlich bei Dauerregen auch einen heißen Nachmittagskaffee ohne das zu berechnen. Das Frühstück auf dem (etwas kleinen) Zimmer war sehr gemütlich. Die Lage in der Nähe des Taksim Platzes sehr von Vorteil für Busverbindungen - mit Gepäck sind die steilen Gassen allerdings ein bisschen beschwerlich. Auch der Transfer mit dem Havar Bus zum SAW-Airport war problemlos - Haltestelle zu Fuß in knapp 10 Minuten erreichbar. Unser Zimmer war etwas klein und das Bad sehr eng - es gab allerdings auch ein wohl etwas größeres (und nachts bestimmt noch ruhigeres) Zimmer

This one turned out to be really good one; mainly for one reason. The host was very humble and kind. Due to our flight, we were really late. But he waited for us and was kind. The breakfast was surprisingly good as well. all was great.

Tout était hyper propre et on a dormi comme des bébés dans un lit super confortable. L'hôtel est près d'une station de métro et des lignes principales de bus. Merci pour ce très agréable séjour !

The host is very friendly — always welcoming and helpful. All our questions and requests were promptly addressed. The view from the balcony is absolutely amazing. The breakfast is excellent. The room wasn’t perfectly clean — there was some hair in the shower, and the water didn’t drain well. The room is also slightly smaller than it appears in the photos. Because of the glass balcony doors, the room can feel quite cold in winter, but the air conditioner helped keep it warm. Housekeeping was not provided daily and was only done upon request.

• Abdulaziz (10/5): - النظافة رئعة جدا الافطار يصل الى غرفتك عبارة عن صحن متنوع. الاستقبال رائع والموظفون رائعون ارتحت كثيرا للمكان . باذن الله تعالى قد اكرر هذه التجربة لاحقا فهو نظيف جدا جدا السكن في منحدر مثل كثير من المباني هناك ولكنه لم يكن عائق بالنسبة لنا. لا يناسب ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة لعدم توفر مصعد . الغرف تناسب شخصين

• EVGENII (9/5): Всё было хорошо, если бюджет ограничен, то отель смело можно бронировать. - Отличное соотношение цена - качество, еще и с неплохим завтраком, который вам принесут в удобное для вас время. Атилла был очень любезен, пока вас заселяют, могут угостить чаем или кофе, с шоколадками. Номер был чистый и всё необходимое было в номере. Отель находится внизу под Таксимом, то есть нужно будет подниматься в гору, имейте ввиду. Номеру слегка не хватает лоска, но и цена соответствует. Мы прибыли за полчаса до заселения, в этот момент уборщица сидела курила перед отелем, после чего помогла нам зайти в отель и отправилась убирать наш номер (хотя могла бы это сделать раньше), в итоге нас заселили где-то в 14:15. Для кого-то ванная комната может оказаться тесной, так как она узкой и вытянутой формы.

Если вы приехали на метро или хавабасе из Сабихи - очень удобно найти. После ночного перелета из Катара очень было приятно, что любезный хозяин Атилла сварил нам кофе и заселил пораньше привычного часа. Номер уютный, с деревянными потолками и полами, что придает ему уют. Оснащен всем необходимым: чайник, чашки, стаканы, чай, средства для ванны и одноразовые тапочки. Завтрак приносят в номер, он очень приятный и симпатично сервирован. В конце пребывания наш ребенок заболел и нашлась возможность продлить на 6 часов пребывание за вполне гуманную стоимость.

It’s a boutique hotel, but it truly feels like a home.” Probably that I liked it too much THAT Now every other place has a lot to live up to.
• BK BEY (9/5): A wonderful stay with excellent service, great comfort, and truly welcoming hospitality. - I had a wonderful 10 day stay here, and it was truly worth it. The host was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my visit, which made the experience even better. The amenities were great, and I especially loved the garden area connected to my room it added such a relaxing touch. Breakfast was served directly to the room, and it was always rich, fresh, and delicious. The cleaning service was excellent as well; they were available anytime I needed them, which I really appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again next time! The only thing I didn’t enjoy much was the location in relation to Taksim Square. It’s not far, but there is a steep uphill walk to reach the main street, which I personally didn’t like. However, this is quite common in that part of Istanbul, and compared to other places I’ve stayed in similar areas, it wasn’t the worst just something to keep in mind if you prefer flat routes.

We had booked an airb&b down the street but arrived to find it was full of mold. We were delighted to see a room here available late night just three doors down. It was charming, clean, comfortable and run by an absolute gentleman, Mr. Atilla.

He helped me communicate with the Turkish people I wanted to visit, provided an Istanbul Card to use the metro and suggested things to see and do! The only thing that needed fixing was the light on the first landing. It doesn't turn on until you are on the landing, leaving the stairway dark. It just needs an adjustment.

• Babar (10/5): Perfect, can’t recommend enough - I usually don’t write reviews but had to write this one! I can’t recommend this place enough. Everything was perfect the wifi, cleanliness, the bed, the room was spacious but the most appreciation goes to the host. From the moment we entered they made us feel so welcome, breakfast wasn’t even included in our stay but they made sure to give us Turkish breakfast everyday. The host was very responsive and very responsive and made sure to solve all our issues instantly e.g the wifi, we didn’t have the suitable plugs for charging, prayer mats etc. I highly recommend this place I really really enjoyed my stay There is nothing at all to complain about

• Olga (10/5): Находка за такие деньги - Отель расположен в тихом месте, 10 мин до ст.м. Таксим (до площади Таксим). Рядом есть мини маркеты, различные кафе. В номере очень чисто, отличная удобная кровать. Есть холодильник, чайник, кондиционер, фен и капельная кофеварка. Завтрак приносили в номер до 12.00. Простой, но вкусный. • Deepthi (10/5): Super addition to our Istanbul visit memories. - This hotel was an incredible bonus to our bucket list holiday to Istanbul. It was in a neighbourhood where you got to experience first hand - living on the hilly landscape of Istanbul. Very quiet with a friendly shop on the corner. Easy access to all transport if walking wasn't your thing. We got the room on the top with a balcony. And what a view of Istanbul life. The room ticked all our boxes, clean, comfortable & spacious. Breakfast was served to our room! It was delightful especially as we ate it looking at a great view & didn't have to share it with anyone else! The host was incredibly helpful & lent us his Istanbul card which was super useful to use on the metro, tram & ferry. The hotel added to our already incredible Istanbul visit memory. Getting 'home' and facing the hilly walk but fast realising taxis are very reasonable & easy to find!
• Nicolas (10/5): Ein wunderbarer Ausgangspunkt um Istanbul zu erkunden - Diese Unterkunft ist super! Der Gastgeber ist stets erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück kann flexibel zur gewünschten Zeit via Whatsapp bestellt werden und wird vor die Zimmertür geliefert. Nach einem Klopfen nimmt man es hinein und kann gemütlich essen, bevor man Istanbul erkundet. Die Straßen um die Unterkunft sind etwas steil und die Treppen in der Unterkunft ebenfalls, sofern Mobilitätseinschränkungen vorliegen, sollte man hier also vorsichtig sein und dann doch lieber woanders buchen. Ist man jedoch mobil, ist man in wenigen Schritten auch an einer Hauptstraße und hat Optionen für Öffis. Imbisse und kleine Supermärkte sind ebenfalls direkt vor Ort. Es ist also eine rundum tolle Unterkunft um Istanbul zu erkunden. Alles war gut, einzig Menschen mit Mobilitätseinschränkungen sollten hier vorsichtig sein, da die Treppen und die Straßen rundum steil sind.

Everything is made with a personal touch and love, one can feel the moment they arrive. We had a room with a cute terrace we had a breakfast at, a few cats accompanied us (and we love cats). Beddings are new, fresh, the room smells nice, and the breakfast omg i’d love to have a partner who makes me this in the morning. There was not only complimentary water and tea with chocolate but also a freshly ground coffee and french press to make it. So rare. Musait is a very very nice person, he made his best with this hotel and made us feel very welcomed. Above all expectations.

• Pippa (9/5): Lovely quiet apartment with excellent hosts - Lovely staff who were extremely helpful throughout stay. The apartment was very peaceful and the view from the balcony was great. We enjoyed breakfast and it was always on time. The room had a fridge, the shower was great, nicely air conned room. There is no lift so something to keep in mind. The area nearby is steep too. It's quite difficult to get to the Hagia Sophia from here using public transport, but Taksim Square and Balat are easy.

The modern clean rooms we’ve had with a private balcony are comfortable with lovely views. The hotel is a beautiful old building which is well located for both the bus or metro from or to Istanbul airport. • Eftychia Georgiadi (10/5): Very pleasant stay! - Nice and comfortable room with a small balcony in a quiet area, but also close to a central street. The staff was amazing, kind, friendly and accommodating, we definitely felt very welcome! Mr. Atilla was great! The breakfast was very good, freshly homemade and served at the rooms. Having breakfast at the balcony, with this nice breeze and the view of part of the city was fantastic! The area has super markets and good local restaurants and is convenient by taking many buses to the center and to major sites and other areas. We would definitely stay again here! We didn't have heavy luggage so it was not tiring, but the area has some very inclined streets (as does the whole city!), and the main and more convenient street, from a central street to the hotel, is a rather inclined one. Also, there is no elevator at the hotel - the staff is very helpful with with luggage - but people with any mobility difficulties or injuries should know that the rooms are accessed by stairs.

Рядом есть продуктовые магазины, кафешки. Номер чистый. С кондиционером. Хозяин всегда готов помочь, подсказать. Была возможность заехать пораньше. Не то что недостаток - следствие района и Стамбула. Очень крутые дороги с отелю. И автобус к отелю может не подъехать

Atilla was in touch with me on the day of arrival, offering assistance with transfer from the airport, and greeted us with coffee when we came to the hotel despite it was really late already. He also was always ready to help with any questions. The hotel is situated in a very quiet neighborhood, there’s no outside noise, which is really great in Istanbul. It’s a short walking distance from Taksim/Istiklal and the Havaist stop. The room was very nice, cozy and clean, with all the necessary amenities, including a small fridge and a balcony. The breakfasts were also very good. All in all, that was really a perfect stay. Highly recommended and many thanks to Atilla! None

• Fran (9/5): I loved this very charming small hotel full of character with its very welcoming hosts. - Super cute hotel in a quiet side road away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. The hotel is in a pretty residential street in a converted apartment building so we felt like we got a flavour of the real old Istanbul. The area is full of very narrow steep roads (amazing the taxis manage them!), with small local cafes and corner shops around, but also just a shortish walk to the busier parts of town. The owners met us outside the hotel and welcomed us in with a cup of coffee while they did the registration. They were incredibly helpful, with WhatsApp communication and lots of useful tips. They sent us to an incredible restaurant that we ate at twice. Our room had a balcony which was soo nice to sit out on and watch the sun set over the city and listen to the call to prayer. Beware there are no lifts.
• Karen (6/5): Comfortable stay but the location is a little out of the centre - The host was very helpful. The hotel was good value. The bed was comfortable and the area quiet. Good shower. The property was some distance from the main attractions. It tools us approx 1 hour via metro and trams to get there. Also the surrounding area around the hotel is residential, although we did feel safe it is off the beaten track.

• Nayana (9/5): Wonderful Stay with Great Views and Hospitality - We stayed at this beautiful property for 4 days and 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Our room was on the third floor and featured a balcony with a stunning view. The staff were warm and welcoming, especially Atilla, who always greeted us with a smile and was ready to help with anything we needed. The property is also conveniently located near public transportation. Highly recommended! Breakfast was good, though we wish there had been a bit more variety. That said, it wasn’t a deal breaker.

• Maria (8/5): Good enough - Nice location, nice and friendly stuff, cosy room, the breakfast was good enough It was all good in general, but there's one thing that made me a bit upset, and here it is... I booked a standard double room, but the room I got was quite different from the description it had on this site. There was no balcony, no garden view. It didn't look like it had 25 m² — more like 18 m² at best. The bathroom was quite narrow, even for me, and I'm slim. You can't enter the room unless you open the door fully, and then you kind of have to squeeze between the open door and the sink to reach the shower. At this point, booking a room here feels like a lottery – you can't be sure what exact room you'll get upon check-in. It seemed to me that some people might get more while paying the same amount as others who get less. I believe that's not really fair. So, I'd kindly suggest reconsidering the room descriptions on this property – maybe create more detailed categories (like a "Superior Double Room" or something similar) that better reflect guests' expectations when booking.
