• Mikelis (9/5): Comfortable stay in the heart of old Bergen - Breakfast was excellent. Location, right near the harbour was perfect. I had asked for early check-in and the hotel was able to accommodate me. It was rather expensive, and comfortable, but not luxurious. The bed was a bit soft for my taste.

The location is very central for all links and attractions both in and around Bergen. Nothing negative, everything was great. • VALERIE (4/5): je n’ai pas du tout aimé la chambre pas confortable du tout. - l’emplacement idéal et le petit déjeuner Le premier jour nous avons eu une inondation dans la salle de bain en pleine nuit on nous a changé de chambre et ils nous ont donné une chambre à 2 lit alors que je voulais un lit double très petite chambre ma fille et moi se marchions dessus avec on levait les pieds pour enjamber les valises. un jour la chambre n’a pas été faite serviette pas changées j’en informe la réception qui me dit ne plus avoir de femme de ménage disponible.

The staff was not super friendly which is the minimum one should expect in a hotel of this level. I was actually very surprised as smiling seems to be an option rarely used.

Close to everything in the main tourist area but in a tucked away street making it quiet and comfortable. The hotel is nice and the family room was excellent, clean and with good amenities. The breakfast was amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful too. Great complimentary coffee, tea and water in the lobby. Great to have a fitness room. No complains at all. I would have liked the fitness room to be open 24hs (jet lag and early starts) but 6am to 10pm is very reasonable and I understand it is also to respect those in rooms nearby.

All the same amazing experience: perfect location, nice hotel with good amenities and nice staff who helped us. They were kind enough to give us late check-out for both rooms free of charge the day we were leaving. We stayed at a family room the first night and it felt a little nicer than the two rooms we got on this stay. Unlike the first room, there were no hair products or lotion in the bathrooms (I requested and was given a few at the reception). Our bathroom (double bed) was very small and had a very tight shower almost on top of the toilet. The single room had a tub. The beds at a double room or two twins are exactly the same. No idea what they consider them to be different. The fitness room was clean but evidently is not cleaned very often. I checked out on April 2nd and everything (used cups and towels) were exactly the same the mornings of April 4th and 5th. But none of these things made our experience any worse. We really would recommend the hotel.

• Kay Eilif (3/5): Utestengt fra rommet. - Vedlikeholdet. Vi kom våte tilbake til hotellet kl. 22.00 og fikk ikke låst oss inn på rommet. Vi satt i 2 timer med våte klær før døra inn til rommet var reparert av vaktmester. Dette ødela mye av vår opplevelse. Ved avreise forventet vi en avkortning i prisen, men det kom ikke på tale. Vi fikk en kupong med gratis frokost på et Thorn hotell. Det har i realiteten ingen verdi for oss. Om vi skulle bo på et Thorn hotell ved en senere anledning så vil frokost være inkludert.

Our room had a view into the back of the Brygge, and we were able to see a bit of the harbor. The train station is a slightly longer walk but being close to everything else makes up for it! The bus to get to the light rail is also just minutes away.

Rebecca was exceptional with our numerous interactions with her. We asked to leave our luggage overnight as we went to Flam and they were kind enough to accommodate us. We stayed in a suite on the 6th floor which was a bit of a walk but we loved the extra room. There were a few steps that led to our room on the 6th floor.

• Karin (8/5): Priceworthy hotel in central Bergen w phenomenal breakfast! - Breakfast is fantastic with so many varieties and well presented! Decor is also very tasteful and unique. Beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows. Location can’t be beat! The thermostat was set at 23 degrees C which is too high for a comfortable night’s sleep. We tried to reset it but temperature never decreased. Even though we slept w open window the room remained too hot.

• Neal (8/5): Good location with respectable size rooms. - The included breakfast was great with lots of different choices. However their coffee was one of the worst that we ever had. To avoid that it turns out that they have a nespresso machine (available all the time) in the side lounge so go for that rather than using the machine in the main breakfast room and the lobby. Lousy coffee and there seems to be a sewer smell in our room’s bathroom.

The only thing was that I was really confused by the instructions of how to use the kettle. The tray on which you place the kettle was hidden. I noticed it in the end! :)

• Fox (7/5): - the location and the staff were really good We got stuck in the elevator the morning we were checking out. It wasn't for very long, but it was disconcerting. For some reason, they had HUGE pillows on the beds. They were totally unusable, and they were so large that we had a hard time finding a place to stash them while we were in the room. So we moved them around on the floor. I have never seen that before and it was puzzling.
