Guest Reviews
- Guest (5/5): -
- Patel (1/5): Facilities are okay, service and electric and cleanliness is rubbish absolutely disgusting - Spacious, good for a night or two. Not happy with the cleanliness overall but the biggest issue was the electric going out while having a shower and on top of that, got woken up in the morning because check out is at 10am but told to check out at 1:00pm. Doesn’t make sense? Really frustrated
- Ashleigh-rose (8/5): -
- Honorata (8/5): Good - Good location No TV
- Clare (9/5): -
- Jelena (10/5): Not bad,for that price - Short distance from train station, nice, clean apartment with kichenette. Nothing
- Marcus (7/5): Disappointing, but doesn't need to be ! - It's a very central location and a lovely appartment. There were no clean towels, there was no power in the appartment on arrival.
Guests are told to turn the electric on from the main box inside the flat but it's not clear which is ON and which is OFF and when I tried it still didn't come on. I had to make a call to get it put on and another call about towels. The guy at the other end was very helpful and got the power switched on remotely very quickly. As for the towels I was told to check the laundry cupboard where I found an unwashed and stained towel waiting to be washed and a second towel stuffed at the back of the cupboard which was also not clean. I was told someone would bring clean towels but that never happened. In the bathroom there was one toilet roll with hardly any paper on it. In the end I had to go out and buy toilet paper to be able to use the toilet and dry myself after showering on my own clean clothes.
Not what you expect from an appartment that is described on booking.com as Luxury!!!
I understand it was probably difficult to get towels and toilet paper at 6pm on a Friday but they should make sure there are spare toilet paper and towels in the appartment. As it's sold for 2 people on a daily basis every one knows that having two towels is not going to be enough. They are never going to get them washed and dried between check out and check in, a window of 4 hours , whoever cleaned it certainly wasn't there very long. The landlord did say it was a new cleaner and that they would speak to them about these issues but they could easily avoid this by having spare toilet paper and towels available in the laundry cupboard, and that's what I'd expect if your advertising the appartment as Luxury.
- Michael (9/5): excellent!! - smart clean , modern studio apartment not a 'One-Bedroom Apartment'. I hate these inaccurate descriptions that Booking.com is allowing.
Apart from thats this is an excellent Studio Apartment and perfect location, Bang in the middle of the city, will deffo use again!! strong smell in the reception area downstairs, I suppose this is the resposibility of the building managers.. but does need sorting....
- Francis (4/5): Bad, Not suitable for singl person - Hi
I was expecting an iron and microwave in the apartment and I got there an iron and microwave in the apartments..And I called the property owner or management to complain about this to him and he said Booking.com will issue a refund for not having the appliance at the apartment
- Luke (9/5): -
- Sally (10/5): Very comfortable apartment which would also be great for a long stay - Apartment was well designed and decorated. Good amount of space. Comfortable bed.
I was annoyed to get a message after booking and paying saying you have to bring your own towels. But they were provided with no problem when I asked for some. The message from booking.com gave the wrong door code. Collecting the room key from the key safe was a bit awkward.
The saucepan was heavily rusted and unusable.
- Istenc (7/5): Good - Location and price. Most of the equipment are new. The studio is too dark. An odour in the building (but not in the apartment)
- Lucy (8/5): Good - Great location and had everything we needed There was what sounded like a glass bin being emptied every hour and no air con
- Adele (1/5): Would not return, not safe - Good location Door didn’t lock from the outside, so while I could lock myself in at night, I couldn’t lock the door when I left meaning all my belongings would be vulnerable. Check in details weren’t sent in advance, couldn’t get hold of the host for over an hour so missed plans I had when arriving to Leeds. Door looked like it had been kicked in at some point with a large split in the door frame and no base plate for the handle. Key didn’t fit in the lock. Bed smelt weird and slightly damp, didn’t smell clean.
Got back from an event at midnight and no electricity in the room, again couldn’t get in touch with the host, so went back to a pitch black room that had been unlocked all day as a single female. Not safe. Have asked for a refund, still awaiting a reply
- Matt (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Nothing, awful with nothing good to say. No electricity in the apartment for the full duration of my stay, I had to sit in the dark. I contacted the owner of the property at 4pm to inform them of no electricity in the property. They replied at 6pm to tell me there was an issue in the building and it should be back on within the hour. I accepted this and requested to be kept up to date.
When I returned to the apartment at 11pm, all the lights in all the other rooms were on, got to mine and nothing... Messaged the owner and never got a reply. Not that night, not the next day, not even 2 weeks later.
Called Booking.com on the evening to make them aware, they tried to contact the owner and when I rang back 2 weeks later and they still haven't replied so I would avoid this place at all costs regardless of how cheap they advertise it for.
I'm not sure how they are still allowed to continue advertising on the website when they can't provide electricity or reply.
- Martyn (8/5): Very good - cleanliness and close to city centre door lock was bit fiddly
- Charlotte (5/5): It’s ok but not great - The location is good The bed was very uncomfortable, walls paper thin, heating blasting out on a warm day found it difficult to sleep do to heat, noise, light, uncomfortable bed.
- Youssef (8/5): Very good -
- Jo (8/5): We thought the location was good. Nice and clean and comfortable and was worth the money - The location was very good. It was clean and comfortable. It said to bring your own towels but they were actually provided so we need not have packed them.
Apart from the men downstairs emptying bins occasionally, it was very quiet. Just a couple of things I’d comment on.
There was no iron and more importantly no hair dryer. Yet there is a washing machine and dishwasher. Could do with
Hairdryer, Iron & ironing board plus a few dishwasher tablets and a tea towel.
Oh and the radiator stayed on all night making a tapping noise. We turned the thermostat down but it didn’t make any difference. Other than that, all good.
- Maryna (8/5): Very good - The location was good, close to bus and train stations, right in the centre of Leeds.
The property was clean and tidy. The host was very slow to react on my request. I sent request through Booking asking about possibility of 2pm check-in for 3 times and I haven't got any response at all.
The cooking pot in the kitchen was very damaged and worn and it's unpleasant to use it at all.
Bed sheets didn't look replaced after previous guests.
- Natalie (1/5): Terrible host. Unsafe room as the door won't lock. - Location. The door code didn't work and no one answered my calls or messages. I ended up being given the code by a resident. The door to the apartment wouldn't lock making me feel very unsafe. The sheets stank of sweat and damp to the point where I took the entire bedding off.
- Kelly (7/5): Good - The apartment is lovely, modern and clean I was given the wrong door code for accessing the building so someone else who lives there had to let me in. I also found it very difficult to unlock the door with the key. I think the lock might be broken. I would have felt more comfortable if the door had a bolt or something on the inside to enable the door to be secured from the inside
- Chris (5/5): Great location, clean and tidy room . - Main oven didn’t work fuse board needs looking at as only a 32A has been fitted for it , could see rats lots off them from the window at night . Door to the room may need attention as looks like some previous occupants must have kicked there way in and repair has been attempted but very hard to unlock and lock now . Other than that everything about the room is perfect
- Andrea (7/5): Good - The flat is very central and close to everything you could need.
The flat has appliances to cook, or to prepare a hot drink
The bed is comfortable The flat location suffers from noises from the street. In particular there is a periodical noise of glass bottles thrown in the recycling. I haven't checked but probably it is the back of some pub that periodically empty the bins.
The room has high ceilings and this makes it a bit cold. It's good to turn on the radiator once arrived warm up the place. The duvet on the bed is quite light.
- Will (4/5): Disappointing - Great location, very central Heating insufficient for the apartment size and ceiling height
- Tanya (2/5): Weird - Cute apartment inside However the hallway outside the room was filthy, sheets and rubbish laying outside each room, also there was bad smell of smoke from people clearly smoking in their rooms, also didn’t sleep a wink because of how loud people were
- Todd (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (7/5): amazing would stay again - very cute and clean it was freezing all night even with the heaters on.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sheila (7/5): Cheap, cheerful & clean apartment - Cheap and cheerful. Nice central location No teabags, which would've been nice - just an empty canister. Location is in a very noisy area
- Ann (4/5): Disappointing - Very disappointed as washing machine cannot functioning😓
- Kyle (3/5): Facilities not as described. The city view for example is a rubbish yard with 15 bins - The decor was lovely. The washing machine wasn't plumbed in which was qa huge inconvenience and the major factor in my choice of accommodation.
- Mark (10/5): Comfortable, quiet, cosy, a home away from home! - Considering this was along a main busy road it was quiet in the apartment. There was still some aesthetic maintenance work going on in the lobby of the property but that didn't interfere with our stay. Any work crew, and anybody else, we came into contact with were polite and professional. The apartment was more than we expected, it was clean and comfortable, a home away from home. Not a reflection on the property at all, I booked this for myself and my partner as a Birthday Present for 1 night as we were going to see a band at First Direct Arena, I'm just gutted we only stayed for 1 night!
Overall, we recommend this property and when we return to Leeds we will book one of these apartments again! 5 stars!
- Emma (7/5): Good - Modern, well laid out and excellent location Instructions how to watch the TV. There were 2 remotes . 1 didn’t work very well, the other - no idea what I was supposed to do with it . So no TV viewing . Bathroom was freezing .
- Sefret (10/5): Exceptional -
