- Chwee Hoe (4/5): Good Hardware, Poor Staff-ware - Spacious rooms Staff did not bother to meet guest request even when proven later they actually could. Requested for higher floor room as I'm sensitive to noise, and was given a lower floor one fronting the main road. Upon asking, they moved me to a higher floor room. This showed that staff did not have any interest to go out of their way to meet guest's request even if they could in the first place. At the rooftop bar, despite having barely 10 people hanging there and majority of seats were unoccupied, the staff said I could neither sit here nor there, saying they had an event later. Directed me to a dark corner outdoors and with the seats missing cushions. I said the event hadn't started so why not let me sit for 15mins and I'd be done. By the time I left, the place was still empty. Really robotic staff who exhibited little human flexibility, and if this was a welcome drink, I certainly didn't feel welcome. And if the bar is reserved for an event, then don't issue welcome drink coupon only to make guests feel unwelcome. This again showed they just robotically went through the motion. Does the hotel management and staff think hardware alone makes a good hotel ? The hospitability business is about service and people. Those who don't have service in their DNA are in the wrong line. This is what it is. This was my second stay. Won't be back any time soon.

- Brett (5/5): Expected better for the price - Good location, newish hotel. Good breakfast. Doormen and guard were very friendly. On check-in, sheets were stained, had to ask to get them changed. Bar was out of Bintang, and alcohol to make cocktails. Front desk unprofessional on phone and also unwilling to book an additional night easily. Ended up booking again via booking.com

- Ursina (8/5): Tip top für den kurzen Aufenthalt vor der Überfahrt auf die Mentawais. - Komfortabel, sauber, freundliches Personal und ein gutes reichhaltiges Frühstück. Bestimmt das beste Hotel in Padang. In den Gängen und bei den Liften dürfte mehr Farbe sein z.B. Bilder, Pflanzen Die Speisekarte für das Nachtessen enthält kaum vegetarische Gerichte.

Bangunan hôtel bagus, luas dan estetik Hôtel termahal di kota padang tapi kolam renangnya berbuih dan keruh. Showernya menyala secara bersamaan (harusnya bisa Di pilih mau pake yg atas atau yg kecil) pengaturan airnya juga tidak praktis . Pokoknya kamar mandi harus di cek , tidak praktis. Sarapan paginya tidak sesuai dg image hôtel mahal, karna pilihan,kualitas dan rasa sangat standard

- Alice (8/5): Comfortable stay in Padang - The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location is great. The rooms are comfortable. The sound proofing could be improved - if you turn off the AC you hear basically everything going on outside of the room - which then disturbs your sleep.

- Fadhli (7/5): Gute Lage - Zimmer war sauber. Gute Lage Frühstück war gar nicht gut, bin gegen 9 uhr in der Restaurant, viele leere Gerichte. Essinsel war mit Tisch und Stuhl gefangen, man muss wir parkour laufen um die leute am Tisch beim Essen nicht zu stören um essinsel zu erreichen. Zimmer war hellhörig. Ansonsten alles gut. Übrigens gibt es reservierte Parkplatze nur für luxus Auto direkt nah am Eingang. Schwimmbad war voll mit Kindern

Während Ramadan fand im Hotelrestaurant ein grosses Fastenbrechen-Dinner mit sehr vielen Gästen statt – wir waren die einzigen westlichen Gäste und haben uns trotzdem jederzeit sehr willkommen und geschätzt gefühlt.
