- Andrew (10/5): Superb little house - This was a beautiful little place for a couple or small family which was ideally located at the end of the High street. Easy parking out the front with no restrictions and 2 mins walk to the chippy or sea front Nothing ... all good
- Gillian (10/5): Great location and very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. -
- Karen (9/5): - Nice and cosy good position The stairs š
- Peter (8/5): -
- Richard (8/5): -
- Corinne (9/5): Very relaxing everything we needed lovely stay - Maybe a newer sofa it slanted a lot
- Judith (9/5): A lovely cosy, ideally situated cottage, tastefully decorated, with a lovely log fire. - Cosy, comfy, quiet, really convenient for town and beach, parking outside, tastefully decorated. It would had been nice to have a few store cupboard items such as salt and pepper.
The second bedroom was pretty cramped, but it was a comfy bed.
- Daniel (10/5): My second visit to this property and very enjoyable stay. - My 2nd stay here. Very warm and comfortable. Everything I need.
- Lisa (10/5): -
- Denise (10/5): Really lovely - No breakfast or tea coffee supplied -
Liked the bijou house perfect for our needs and. Dry clean bathroom
- Judy (10/5): Perfect tiny cottage - Absolutely gorgeous cosy homely cottage. Stylishly decorated with everything you need for a seaside break in idyllic Aldeburgh. Thoughtful details such as torches Even nicer than it looks in the photos....felt at home as soon as we walked in. Parking easy right outside.
- Chris (9/5): - Beautiful clean cottage in great location . Traffic speeding past Kate at night which was surprising due to location .
- Lynne (10/5): We really enjoyed our two nights at Periwinkle Cottage. It was extremely warm on our arrival. - The location of the cottage is perfect. Close to High Street and seafront. Out of season we could park right outside I can imagine itās busier in the summer but it is located close to a large car park. Frankly nothing
- Claire (8/5): -
- Geoffrey Packe (8/5): Enjoyable short break in Alborough - Comfortable, small cottage close to the centre of Aldborough. Well equipped kitchen. More detailed Instructions on where the bins were located, and their function. Some coasters please.

- Sarah (9/5): - Great little place and so comfy. 10min walk into town which wasnāt too bad. We had our labrador with us too for the weekend. All good, thought the bath felt a bit wobbly when standing in it.
- Michelle (9/5): Fantastic location and fabulous walks, great fish and chips too! - Loved the cottage, we were able to take our own firewood and have a cosy fire. Bed was very comfortable but a little small.
- Sandra (10/5): - Extra loo upstairs . Open fire

- Jean (9/5): Lovely little cottage. - Lovely bed linen & towels No tea/coffee milk on arrival.
A small pack would have been appreciated.
- Lindsey (9/5): We really enjoyed it. Weād considered a hotel but, apart from being eye-wateringly expensive in Aldeburgh, this was far - It was in a really good location for our visit to Aldeburgh. Cozy, comfortable and well equipped. Not a big problem but stayed in a couple of nights and I donāt know whether it was us but we could only get the real basic four channels out of the TV. I canāt see the point of having a SKY box there if you donāt tell people they need to bring their own card. That would have been ok if the Freeview channels were available on the actual TV. Maybe some more instructions might help.
- Emma (10/5): Great cottage! - Great locations, good size for family of 4
- SARAH (10/5): Lovely little cottage - Cosy
Clean
Fabulous location
Extra toilet in the bedroom was a handy surprise ( main bathroom is downstairs)
- Harriet (8/5): Enjoyable meeting family -
- Richard (9/5): - Fantastic location close to the beach but quiet and less than a minute's walk into the centre.
- Julia (9/5): Perfect place to relax and enjoy the facilities of Aldeburgh - So close to the beach and to the shops and cafes in Aldeburgh. The property was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a few days break. We found it impossible to open the bedroom window, it just wouldn't budge.
- Dicken (9/5): Superb - The location and we also enjoyed having the stable door that could be opened to enable airflow through the property. Nice hot shower, but the water was not really hot enough to have a bath.
- Martin (9/5): Our first trip to Aldeburgh, delightful town. Periwinkle cottage was very comfortable with good facilities in a great lo - Lovely comfortable cottage in great location.
- Claire (8/5): Very good -
- Christopher (8/5): Excellent location with plenty to do. Would not hesitate to come back. - The location was 5 minutes away from the beach and from the centre of town with easy parking. Excellent restaurants and shops. Lots of of cultural activities but at the same time restful. Only stayed 3 nights but could have stayed longer. The property was well appointed with ample space. The property had a very steep staircase that some people may find very difficult to climb.
- Philip (8/5): Very good - Location and period character. A few key facilities lacking, e.g. wine glasses. Fag ends left in the back yard.
- Goodwin (10/5): We had an amazing stay in a perfect place - Everything about the cottage was perfect
Great location, with close parking
Easy access - great WiFi The stairs are steep and my 82 year old mother did struggle a little bit but with our help she was ok
- Michael (8/5): Value for money - Location Small garden and steep internal stairs
- Richard (8/5): Very good - Great location. Easy parking. Quiet. Lack of normal wine glasses.
- Sophie (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (7/5): Lovely place, let down by a few things. - Well appointed, great location. Someone needs to get a grip of whoever is responsible for cleaning. We visit Aldeburgh regularly, we really love it there but have never had to shop for cleaning materials before. The surfaces were very dusty, coffee table, stair rail for starters. The rugs are way past their best. The property stood out in the terrace it is located, (mostly rental properties) due to the huge amount of weeds outside and the sorry state of the front door, paint heavily flaked and obviously not tended to for some time.
I don't think it would be a massive effort to keep on top of these issues to make Periwinkle Cottage the great place it deserves to be.
- Norman (9/5): Pretty cottage near the sea. - Bijou cottage in a pretty seaside village with plenty to see and do. Reasonably equipped and very clean throughout.
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Serena (8/5): A property that you could visit again and again. The perfect location for weekend break. - Well presented property set away from the main High Street so lovely and quiet. Guest information folder was full of instructions that we needed to follow or threats of extra charges would be incurred. Not very relaxing.
- Allen (6/5): Reasonably successful but for reasons mentioned and a very steep staircase would not reboot this pro - Breakfast not included, Very modern cooker hard to understand and no helpful written instructions,so we didn't use The TV was very complex for older people, there were two handsets with no guidance as which one to use......sometimes it displayed NO SIGNAL and we struggled to find a channel
- Damian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jo (9/5): Relaxed sunny weekend break - Close to the beach and shops . Roadside parking. Comfy beds. Well equipped Mice in the outside bin!!!
- Jayne (7/5): A good location for a short stay - Location It was advertised as having 2 bathrooms but only had 1.
Cobwebs in bedrooms
No instructions for the oven.
- Heather (8/5): Very good -
- Gillian (10/5): A beautiful romantic weekend bolt hole - It was in a lovely location, beautifully clean and very well appointed Absolutely nothing, it was exceptional
- John (8/5): Nice stay in a cosy cottage in an ideal location for Aldeburgh - Cosy cottage in a good location Steep stairs
- Daniel (10/5): very good - Great stay, very much enjoyed the cottage. Just a tiny comment but it would have been good to have some basic condiments (salt, pepper etc) and some instant coffee.
- Luke (9/5): Cosy cottage in a great location - Fantastic location on the high street, not far from the beach. A lovely, cosy property with an open fire, clean throughout with excellent kitchen facilities. As we stayed in the winter and with a small child the Sky Q TV was very welcome. Nicely decorated and two decent bedrooms. Nothing really but if you were being really picky, the back yard is very small. We stayed at the start of January though so wasn't an issue.
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (8/5): Nice cosy cottage .. good location - Good space for 2 people ⦠had everything we needed for a 3 night stay . Clean, comfortable. Good location . Dining chairs a bit torn/ shabby upholstery .. chair covers would up cycle them
- Hilary (9/5): Ideal location and very comfortable accommodation for short visit to visit family who live locally - Convenience to town, beach and river walks Perfect for us
- Skye (10/5): Excellent location close to the beach, comfortable place to stay - Great location, cute and very clean Literally the only issue we had was we couldnāt tell what grey bin belonged to the unit.
- David (9/5): A wonderful little cottage in a perfect location and very well presented -
- Maria (5/5): Small cottage - Location Not enough space. Pictures deceptive. Steep stairs and very small. Can hear all noises from adjacent cottages and rooms. No garden. Would not return.ā¹ļø
- Katy (7/5): A comfortable stay - Welcoming atmosphere on arrival, attention had been given to providing pleasing surroundings.
Kitchen and bathroom surfaces immaculate.Plenty of kitchen equipment.
Local information to hand.
Bed linen and towels great, and comfortable bed. After walking barefoot for a short while I noticed the soles of my feet were extremely dirty! I wiped the bathroom floor,it had appeared clean, and found it had been perhaps swept but not washed properly. This detracted from the illusionā¦
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Stefanie (8/5): Very good - Location was great, just a short walk to the beach or the shops, cafes and restaurants. The accommodation was spacious and filled with light, we had a really good time. Attention to detail with cleaning before we arrived was a little lacking. All the main areas were good but under the sofa, window cills etc had been overlooked
- Keren (9/5): Wonderful! Great location, immaculately clean, stylish and well equipped. we'll certainly be back. - N/A Minor issue and we should have made advanced request. All pillows and duvets were luxurious feather and down. My wife is allergic and the agents brought her brand new man-made ones immediately. Great service!!
- Pugh (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyable - Location was perfect There wasn't anything we disliked, our only suggestion would be a new coat of paint on the front door.
- Dudley (9/5): A very pleasant stay in a nice cottage - Self catering All good
- Frank (7/5): Good - Getting into the shower is potentially dangerous. Have a bath mat or grab rail
- Tony (8/5): We had a peaceful and relaxing stay, a good place to unwind. - The location was perfect, close to the beach, close to the shops, close to the pubs, close to The Two Magpies bakery, and importantly close to the fish & chip shop. Looking forward to returning. A shower safer mat would be appreciated as the bath can be slippy. We were unable to vacuum before we left as the vacuum had no charge and we couldnāt find a charger.
- Susannah (10/5): Excellent - Location clean and decor No can opener
- Colin (8/5): First time in this area. We will return. - Location Big mugs and only a very small percolator
- Fiona (10/5): Great location on the High Street and near the beach. Had a lovely weekend there. - We were in Aldeburgh for the weekend visiting family. Periwinkle Cottage is perfect and had all the facilities that we needed. Our two dogs were welcome too. I would definitely return and recommend to others. Nothing
- Sally (8/5): Lovely little cottage by the sea - The location was great close to the beach, dog walks and town. The dog was underwhelmed at the small garden.
- Celia (8/5): A comfortable, cosy base for a few days to explore the attractive area. - Traditional cottage, attractive furnishing and it was well heated and cosy.
Comfortable beds.
Aldeburgh is a delightful small seaside town with lots of good shops, cafes and restaurants.
A high end hotel/restaurant was close by which was helpful as I was with my sister who has mobility problems. There were ants in the kitchen and bathroom.
The cafetiĆØre didnāt work effectively.
- Kate (8/5): Enjoyable and comfortable in a great location. - The property was clean, comfortable, characterful and well decorated. The location was great and we had everything we needed. Not enough hot water for the shower/bath.
- Georgina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (9/5): 3 very relaxing days spent in a lovely, cosy cottage - Very comfortable. Clean,
well-maintained and beautifully decorated. Quiet location and parking straight outside. Didnāt need the outside patio as weather not suitable but this area needs some attention. We could find no instruction leaflets for appliances.
- Amanda (9/5): Wonderful stay - Location No microwave
- Kim (9/5): Superb -
- Vanessa (7/5): Good -
- Angus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (1/5): Very disappointing - The location was very good with parking available outside Booking.com described this property as two bathroom and show a shower head with the figure 2 beside it. It was only one bathroom with a wc and basin no second bathroom. The bathroom was an essential since we were a mixed group so Booking.com mis represented this property which caused considerable annoyance and disappointment. I am a loyal customer who has been badly let down by booking.com. Further their is a warning that renters will be fined £25 for any marks on towels the ones left for us had to be returned as they had such marks not very well cleaned or checked. The heating failed on day one leaving us cold and without access to any hot water for one of our two days stay. It was fixed the towels were replaced but without any sense of regret or apology from air manage. Not a lot else to go wrong on a 2 day trip and very little in the way of satisfaction or interest from the property management company and a false description by booking .com a company I have used for decades all over the world but will now have to think carefully as to whether I can trust them in the future.
- Fiona (8/5): Lovely welcoming house, close to all amenities. Warm and cosy. - Fabulous location. Lovely cosy house. Clean and tidy with virtually all requirements for a weekend stay. Advertised as having iron and hairdryer. These were not present. Courtyard garden VERY small. Dachshund could hardly turn around in!
Stairs very steep to bedrooms. Not too good for elderly or slightly immobile people.
- Alan (8/5): Great location - The location was an ideal base for exploring the interesting town and nearby coastal areas.
Well appointed kitchen and a good shower A microwave oven would have been useful for quick meals.
The bath needed a grab rail and a non-slip mat as it became very slippery when using the shower.
- Anouska (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yvonne (8/5): Very good - Location and property just what we needed All great
- Jackie (8/5): Very good -
- Christine (8/5): We have been visiting Aldeburgh for over 30 year and our stay this year was very enjoyable. - It was self catering, but no welcome pack. The cottage was clean and very well presented. If we were younger we would have loved it. More information on how to use the appliances or where they could be found. As pensioners the stairs were a bit of a nightmare and we did remove the rugs for the duration of our stay, we considered them a trip hazard.
- Nicola (8/5): glorious stay in Aldeburgh - the property was comfortable and light - perfect for a 3 night stay - just back from the beach and a short walk along from the busier end of the high street a few board games would have been an added bonus
- Angie (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (6/5): Pleasant - One room with broken blind.
No microwave
No hangers in wardrobe
Need more cups , bowls
No salt, pepper, sugar
- Nigel (9/5): A lovely well equipped cottage in an excellent location with easy free parking outside - A lovely bright and airy cottage in a great location. Easy free parking outside property and walking distance to the High Street and beach front / walks.
The cottage was very well equipped, very good decorative condition, cosy and comfortable.
We would certainly recommend and look forward to returning again. Nothing , it had everything we wanted.
- Jenny (8/5): would definitely stay here again - lovely bright interior. fab location. could have done with one more comfy chair - and some condiments. otherwise excellent
- Kevin (8/5): Nice cottage in a good location - Location No hangers and we had to bolt the bed up as it had not been constructed properly
- Woodard (9/5): A three night stay out of season. - Very clean modern interior, nicely decorated. Everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Excellent location. Bed softer than I like. "Designer" sink and basin with flat bottoms that don't drain towards the outlet...
