- CARMEN (2/5): - The property was not clean when we arrived. The pictures shown of the property are deceiving. There was no running water, bed bugs, dirty dirty. We arrived and we left to another location. I lost the money paid as it’s not refundable but I do not recommend this place. It’s unsafe. Dangerous stairs. Not suitable for a family with kids or elderly. Horrible experience overall.
- Michael (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at the Monti-Villa. We’ve never gotten so much bang for our buck until we stayed here. If being too big of a place was an issue, it was kind of a nice to have that issue all to ourselves. Our hosts, Lucy, Rene, and Jose were all very nice and courteous. The ocean views were amazing, the landscaping was gorgeous, and the aesthetic of the place was very tasteful. If you’re the type to be scared of by a little bit of nature, such as lizards, spiders, raccoons, capybaras, or bees…. Visiting such a beautiful place might not be for you. Nature was here first and will most likely survive our species. Both pools were kept clean and are mostly at moderate height, so there should be no fear of drowning for sober adults. We came with two septuagenarians who both were able to navigate the steep stairway but the stairs are not for the meek. Overall, we were really pleased with the property and it was a big factor in us, enjoying our stay in El Salvador. If you plan to cook for yourself, be sure to stop at the Super Selecto in town. Big thanks to Lucia, Rene, and Jose!
