- Orkola (10/5): Relaxing stay at a true farmhouse among wine yards - Beautiful old property, a real farm including lots of different animals. We had dinner every night at the site, and they were really good with fresh ingredients. We had long relaxing walks around the nearby wine yards. It is easy to visit Randazzo, Bronte, Castiglione di Sicilia and Etna Nord (Piano Provenzano) with a car. Owners were really nice people and we felt their hospitality.

- Jimmy (7/5): - The property needs a good face lift. Maybe this was due to the fact that our stay there was out of season. The staff was very friendly and helpful. WIFI although available it's strength is so weak that it is not usable anywhere on the premises.
- Saana (9/5): One of the best meals and stays in Sicily! - From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. The dinner was home made and breakfast full of locally grown fruits. The location is beautiful country side farm surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. You can see the top of mount Etna from the gardens. The hosts are incredibly nice and welcoming. If you want to experience some local lifestyle, you should book this place. We stayed only one night but would've loved to stay for longer.

An exceptional dinner and breakfast! and the vineyard is beautiful and the bed cozy. Wish we could have bought some of the products from the farm-olive oil, Pecarino cheese, wine, salumi, etc.
- Maryna (10/5): -
- Carmelo Massimiliano (10/5): -
- Alberto (9/5): Relax e ottimo cibo!!!
- Ingrid Andreea (10/5): -
- Christian (9/5): Superb - This is a great place to disconnect and go back in time. The host is a very welcoming person and made us feel comfortable. For motorcyclists the property offers safe parking. The room was a bit basic. A kettle would have been nice. If you plan on cooking it might be challenging.
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb - Place was clean and food was excellent. The host was super kind.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good - Idyllic setting with views of the summit of Mount Etna on one side and lush valley on the other side. Excellent on-site restaurant. Pet friendly. The bathroom in my room was very dated. The door could not open fully and did not close properly. The shower head was broken, just hanging down. Some cobwebs on the light fittings.
- Philip (6/5): Pleasant -
- Graziella (9/5): Superb -
- Alex (8/5): Very good -
- Rita (7/5): Good - Breakfast was good.
Rooms were big, with a small kitchenette. Shower was very small.
Place is nice but needs cleaning.
- Bezzina (8/5): Very good - View and the cosy homey rooms also there was space to park the cars just next to our accomodation. It met my expectations, but i would have loved to have the coffee in the room, there was everything to prepare including a hob and the kettle but no coffee..
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - lovely setting in a vineyard.
we were the only ones there on a Sunday night but they did dinner for us anyway after a very busy lunch service. very friendly staff.
restaurant was closed on the Monday so we walked (don't drive) to a family's restaurant around the corner, highly recommend it particularly the risotto!!
good wine tasting options nearby. the road was on the rough side so be brave and go slow.
shower is a bit squeezy!
- Maciej (10/5): Exceptional - Rooms are comfortable and clean.
The vineyards around the agriturismo are stunning.
Breakfast offers everything you might need.
And the staff is just on another level.
Highly recommend :)
- Cilia (10/5): The hosts are really lovely people. We had dinner at the property which was really good and all with their own products - The property is nice located on the outskirts of Randazzo run by the family.
- Alb_95 (8/5): Very good -
- Rafael (6/5): Pleasant - Location in a vineyard facing Mt. Etna. Staff was helpful and kind. Cleanness was an issue with dust all around, clogged faucet and spiders/spiderwebs on the bed.
- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional - Extremely friendly property with excellent dinner and horseback riding in a relaxed setting. Great for kids!
- Frank (10/5): Great host and facilities - Great atmosphere Nothing
- Annemiek (9/5): Superb - Very friendly, welcoming and helpful host & family. Great setting overlooking vine orchards, valleys and the mountains. Superb evening meal and the breakfast was excellent too. Peaceful and quiet(apart from Etna erupting occasionally)Lovely clean and spacious bedroom.Rustic and cosy place. Loved it! Great location Slightly small shower room and the kitchen tap was very loose but it worked.
- Emily (9/5): Superb -
- Angel (10/5): It felt like we were visiting a family! Very good Experience! - A wonderful place to stop on the way to Catania with a beautiful views of Etna. Spacious room with comfortable bed perfect to rest after a long day. Good location to visit a beautiful city of Randazzo and observe agriculture region of Etna. An amazing host made us feel welcome and took very good care of us. Dinner was one of the best we had in Sicily. The children were the best!
- Elena (10/5): We were in Italy for a month and stayed in many destinations. The Borgo San Nicolao was a favorite! - Franco and his family were exceptional hosts. Very welcoming and personable. We enjoyed the surrounding countryside and working farm/vineyard. We especially appreciated the foods grown and produced on the property, i.e., the wines, olive oil, cheeses, salumi, jams/compotes, salad ingredients, desserts made by Franco's wife. Our dinners were all excellent and the service excellent. We would highly recommend the Borgo to anyone who truly desires an isolated country destination, yet easy drive to Mt. Etna, nearby towns of Linguaglossa and Randazzo. Only things that we could have used in the kitchen would have been some tea towels and a sharp knife. However, we made due with what was there.
- Laura (7/5): Lovely rustic place in the middle of vineyards. Our only complaint was no hot water to shower on a 58F morning! -
- Loffreda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graziella (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was lovely about our stay, the breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was great. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. There are animals on the premises which is a bonus for animal lovers and families with young children. Our children enjoyed playing in the playground on the premises. Last but not least the views of Mount Etna and the surrounding mountains are amazing. Would have loved to stay more. Everything was perfect
- Snezhana (9/5): Superb - We had a real, authentic farm stay with fantastic home made food for dinner. Spacious and very comfortable rooms. Actually the rooms are located in little separate buildings. Amazing experience.
- Cucciardi (10/5): Exceptional - It was a very peaceful place, delicious food and the staff were very nice people.
- Zammit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darius (8/5): Great location right under Etna and surrounded by Vineyards and off from the main road. - Dinner was great, full on Sicilian style. Breakfast was also good with fresh fruit, croissant etc. Hosts were very welcoming and parking was safe and secure. Nothing
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carmelo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (9/5): Beautiful setting with Etna views - Beautiful location with Etna views. I had a wonderful horse ride through the vineyards on gentle Iris.
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- Justin (8/5): Recommended - Comfortable room. Very nice surroundings. Good food served at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nil
- Olga (10/5): True experience of the countryside - True experience of the countryside with animals and vast landscape. So beautiful! Great food of local ingredients.
- Daniel (9/5): Wonderful all around. Kids loved it and that was #1. - The staff were great! Franco took very nice care of us while we were there. One day I had a terrible headache and he brewed me some coffee. It is quiet and peaceful and the farm animals were fun for the children. The food at dinner was delicious. There’s not much bad to say about the properly at all. We ate there 3 of the 4 nights however, the meals were mostly the same. While delicious, I could say they could use some more selection.
- Rick (5/5): Passable - Host was very nice, room was clean, breakfast was very good, quite rustic, great variety of farm animals on site. We had low water pressure in the morning and couldn't take a shower. Side note: Your GPS might indicate that you can reach this place from SS89 but only if you are driving a tractor, enter from SS120 don't ask how I know
- Yuko (9/5): An inn where you can immerse yourself in nature and animals - First time in Sicily, first time at an agriturismo. When I came here after walking all over Italy, I realized that this is the kind of trip I wanted to take. Olives and grapes are spreading, there are various animals, and cute stray kittens are chasing you. Rustic buildings and meals made with homemade ingredients. An inn for the hard-working couple Franco and Rosario. Homemade ham and cheese, and handmade pasta made by Rosario are very delicious. There aren't any shops around, but Franco stopped by the supermarket when he came to pick me up from Randazzo, which was helpful. After checking many times, I booked a room with a kitchen and a view of Mt. Etna from the window, but when I went out the front door, I was given a room without a kitchen and a view of Mt. Etna. Mr. Franco also showed us a room with a kitchen, but we couldn't see Mount Etna at all from there. I had no choice but to go out the front door and choose a room without a kitchen with a view of Mt. Etna. Because I planned this trip on the anniversary of my beloved husband. There are no windows other than the entrance to the room, so it feels a little dark and cold.
My husband has a cold and it's cold at night, so I emailed him because I didn't know how to turn on the heating, and he said it was not heating season so it would be better to cover him with a blanket. However, the blanket smelled musty and was unusable.
I was told that there was a winery about a 30 minute walk away that I could tour for free, but when I went there, I was told that it would cost 100 euros to sample six different wines. I stopped because it was expensive. I wanted you to give me the correct information.
- Sharron (10/5): unbelievable! - bet food, best hot, couldn't recommend highly enough! nothing, everything was amazing
- Riccardo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlene (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (8/5): This was a really pleasurable stay during weather which was challenging for staff and guests alike. - Staff were excellent and really fun to interact with. Food and wine were excellent. We would return.
- Jeffrey (6/5): Pleasant - location and food There was a heatwave when there (noting to do with hotel)
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erin (8/5): A fantastic place to stay close to all the sights but away from the crowds in a peaceful setting. My young son adored se - Nice peaceful farm location, wonderful food and friendly hospitality The beds need some new pillows as they were very flat and uncomfortable.
- Tony (10/5): Agriturismo San Nicolao is a well run farmstay in a panoramic location and the facilities, including wifi, are all that - The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The farm is located in a lush valley with views of Mt Etna as well as a variety of animals. The food was of excellent variety and quality and Franco and the rest of the family and staff were very welcoming and helpful. Nothing
- Charlotte (9/5): Beautiful views and welcoming hosts. - Beautiful location with views across olive orchards and vineyards on the north side of Mount Etna. Franco and his family were so welcoming, producing a delicious dinner and breakfast of local produce. I even had a candle to blow out on my dessert, to celebrate my birthday! Nothing! it was the weather we didn’t like as a big storm came through but Franco kept smiling.
- Keith (7/5): Good location outside the town on wine route. - Hard to review this place properly due to the poor weather, it poured rain most of the time. We were not able to walk the grounds and it felt very damp. The owner was very nice and the food he cooked was very good. The adjoining room had his tv blaring late into the night.
- Anthony (10/5): Excellent - Very nice Agriturismo, staff was very helpful and gentle. nothing
- Sylvie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carlos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (9/5): Beautiful, authentic experience - Exceptional service in a beautiful location. Simple yet very comfortable and extremely authentic agriturismo. The heating in the room was a little noisy but we turned it off at night and it was fine.
- Chris (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michelle (9/5): wish we had more heat - the area was fabulous and our little cottage was adorable Well not much really just wish that there were carpets to step onto and the heat would remain on at all times....the bathroom was unbearable to get into the shower. was too too cold although Franco did his best to see to it
and that the mattresses were sunkin in. not very comfy and bad for our backs
I just wish I had nothing to complain about cause we really loved the place and Franco
- Ca.il (10/5): Exceptional and unique! - Hosts are warm and welcoming, the location is stunning, accommodation is comfortable and spacious, the beds are super comfortable, rooms are well heated, and the food is excellent. A truly magnificent place! The shower cubicle is slightly small, but water pressure and temperatures are fine. WiFi can be iffy at times
- Ca.il (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely atmosphere, comfortable accommodation, welcoming hosts, delicious food! Shower a little small
- Tracy (10/5): Casual and relaxing with gracious hosts and delicious homemade food - This was our favorite place to stay on our trip to Sicily! The location among vineyards at the base of Etna is amazing. The family who runs the property is so nice and humble. The breakfasts and dinners were absolutely delicious and everything is homemade with ingredients directly from their farm! Our 3 and 6 year old loved greeting the animals every day we were there and they also enjoyed the playground and kicking the soccer ball in the grassy area. The proprietors also have young kids and they were often at the restaurant while we were having dinner, so it was very casual and fun for our kids to have new playmates. Highly recommended for families and as a base to visit wineries and Etna! The accommodations are a bit rustic and the living room of the small apartments have a twin bed rather than a couch but other than that we really liked it.
- Kristian (9/5): excellent stay for families with small kids - very nice hosts. rooms are dated for those who like modern like me but otherwise clean and accomodating
- Susanna (8/5): Lovely countryside location fairly rustic but clean and comfortable. We had the most amazing supper with plate after pla - lovely rural location, incredible food!
- Karina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fisher (10/5): Exceptional - The location was stunning, set among the mountains with views of Mt Etna. The evening meal was delicious and the staff were warm and friendly.
