Guest Reviews
- Ken (9/5): Secret Wollongong - Self contained accommodation, full kitchen, quiet, great water pressure, plenty of space. Not so direct to the beach on bikes...easier to drive
- Holly (10/5): - Great little set up. Lovely secure yard Bedroom needs a fan that works when the light is switched off (its possible i just didn't know how to work it)
- Edna (6/5): The house was clean and had everything that was needed - The property was close to our family re-union As older people the shower was over the bath it would have been better with a seperate shower if mot on the bathroom maybe one could be put in the laundry
- FABRIZIO (9/5): -
- Simon (9/5): Wonderfully welcoming, comfortable & efficient for our stay - Homely
Core amenities - phone chargers, smart TV etc
Tea & Coffee Making facilities - fresh milk
Spacious
Near to main road and train station (Weather - chucking it down - so we could have enjoyed the balcony, outdoor TV and garden !)
- Achim (7/5): -
- David (10/5): -
- Joey (10/5): -
- Lise (10/5): We loved the house, felt fully relaxed and had fun. - It was a very clean, house I liked the,
layout and the interior. Outside area, was great! It was spacious, it looked good.
We were very excited and surprised at
the look of the house
Our host was very helpful In our room fan only worked with light on,
hard to operate, volumne on tv in loungeroom.
- Mary (10/5): Very comfortable and value for money to take my fam and the dog away for a weekend! - Very comfortable and value for money to take my fam and the dog away for a weekend!
- Amit (7/5): Comfortable stay - Kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms were decent size. Nothing to not like about the property at all
- Hannah (10/5): A little beach gem - This is an absolute dream little property!! One of favourite airbnbs I’ve ever stayed!
Gorgeous vintage interior and so beautifully decorated, also the backyard is fully fenced and secure which is great for pups. Nothing!!
- Carl (9/5): - Location, facilities and comfort I had to scrub a couple of pans clean on arrival
- McLachlan (9/5): Very comfortable in a good location - pet friendly - perfect - Location was great once we had a bit of time to explore. Very comfortable, all as promised. Streaming available and all amenities. Plenty of parking, nice quiet neighbourhood. The kitchen was somewhat stocked with the basics which was a very welcome site as we were late checking in. Shower - that is a personal preference. The bathroom was very clean and had everything we needed.
- Leanne (10/5): Very nice 👍👍 - Lovely clean comfy home, beds clean and comfortable Lounge was comfortable but too low for me
- gwen (7/5): Overall it was ok, but I wouldn’t book it again. - Good quite location Front screen door needs attention, it took us ages to get in or out as the lock kept jamming.
Ceiling fans in bedroom needs cleaning as there was a lot of dust on it. Our kitchen bin had rubbish in it from previous tenants. Bed pillows were extremely flat, luckily I brought a pillow from home. I didn’t like the fact that the bedrooms had no mirrors and there’s only one bathroom so had to wait to use the mirror to put on makeup, check hair etc before going out. Not suitable for 3 females staying there.
- Narda (7/5): Clean and tidy - a bit dated - Large home with big back yard- would be a perfect stay for either a family or 2 couples . It was quite close to the university which was handy as we were attending an event there. The name of the property included the word “Beach” leading me to believe it was located near the beach and cafes but it wasn’t. There were just beachy ornaments on the walls including a surfboard. So we had to drive everywhere. It It’s my own fault for not checking the location first but I think the name was a bit misleading. The property was a little dated too but still ok
- Deeban (10/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): Great place to stay very convenient and everything you need is in the house. - The property was fantastic it had every thing we needed. It had condiments in the fridge and cupboard. That was fantastic the bedding was great very happy with the electric blankets first place iv stayed at tbat has had them and it’s a big plus for me there was spare sheets and towels and beach towels washing machine and dryer iron and etc shampoo conditioner body wash was in the bathroom. TVs were Great inside and out over all it was just the best place to stay and close to the station and many other things. We will be staying again thanks for having us. We liked everything about the property
- Schaefer-Morales (10/5): -
- Gwlithyn (10/5): Very happy - Nice place, very well kept. Lovely inside with nice garden. Just right for us.
- Annaluisa (10/5): A place to go when you are away from home - It is close to the town, very quaint Nothing really it was like a home away from home
- Helen (9/5): - Very homely and comfortable. Great spaces for 4 people. Location for us was great but is quite a trek to the beach Heating in winter is limited. Lounge can get warm but cool in other rooms
- Kelly (10/5): Lovely house, wish we had have stayed a bit longer - N/A
- Jane (10/5): Perfect for the three of us and our dog! - Had absolutely everything we needed, and more! Great cottage, very comfortable, loved the added touches. Wow. Outdoor telly! All fine!
- Sammie.D (8/5): - Beautiful little old style house and great outside area with great size garden space. Has been renovated nicely, felt open and spacious. Quiet and dark at night. The king size bed was beautiful and thank you for the electric blankets. It also felt safe and secure. Our dog also felt at home here. Step in the bath for the shower. I'm not a fan of those.
Kitchen cupboards need a good clean and sorted out.
The queen size bed needs replacing. It felt like it had been used in a setting position from an eclectic bed.
- Nancy (9/5): -
- Wendy (9/5): Superb - House was clean and had everything you need. Host was welcoming and friendly
- Spencer (10/5): Clean, comfortable, spacious home well appointed secure and quiet ! - Extremely clean!
Very well appointed
Great parking
Secure and quiet Nil (note to owner that light bulb in bedroom without tv has blown)
- Alison (9/5): Very happy, would stay again. - Great house, great location and we could bring our dog. Nothing really. Would be happy to stay there again.
- Bersinic (8/5): A nice short visit -
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional - Great beach house, super facilities. Everything is there! It’s a complete well fitted bungalow, ideally located
- Taryn (9/5): The house exceeded our expectations, including its quiet central location. -
- Paul (10/5): Very comfortable and central location - Quiet
- Susan (8/5): Great place will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Wollongong - The location was excellent. The house was very comfortable plenty of amenities and the backyard was so good. The bed was very comfortable and the area was really quiet. Nothing
- Belinda (9/5): A lovely well equipped ,comfortable and cosy cottage to stay at whilst exploring the Wollongong area . - My husband and I enjoyed a short two night stay . We found the instructions and communication great to gain entry into the home .
The house was very clean and had lovely comfortable furniture to be able to relax with . The host has thought of everything needed to provide you with a great stay.
Undercover parking was provided and this was great to unload our vehicle to gain access to the house whilst it was raining so we stayed dry .
The bed was comfortable and so was the lovely open lounge , dining and kitchen .
Quiet street and a short stroll to the train , pub and bottle shop .
A short drive into the heart of Wollongong and beach . The shower . It worked but was difficult to keep the water within the shower /bath and the taps were in a weird spot . The bathroom ended up very wet after each shower but water temp and pressure was good .
- Jenna (9/5): Superb - The size of the property and location was excellent. The backyard was so good for the dogs. The towels and bathroom was really great. I didnt realise from the description there was a secondary unit on the property, only after reading the reviews. This was a bit of a concern as the dogs were in the yard and just from an overall sense of security. When we stayed there was no one residing there however we didn't know if there would be. The price was on the expensive side.
- Jessie-lee (8/5): Great pet friendly and family friendly house to stay at. - Only a 10 minute drive to the beach. We loved that it was pet friendly, had great air conditioning, and a washing machine and dryer was a god send. The yard size was great, the house was like a home away from home, it had everything we needed. Check in was also super easy. Would definitely stay again. Inside the bedroom cupboards were pretty dirty, the fridge door had plenty of expired foods and sauces etc. hard plastic bits connected to the electric blanket were a little uncomfortable to sleep on.
- Caitlin (9/5): Lovely and spacious family house with pleasant and accommodating hosts. - The house was spacious, neat and homely. Early 2000’s photography of Wollongong was a nice touch. The long driveway also allowed for easy parking and the neighbourhood itself was quiet. My daughter absolutely loved running around in the big backyard and we all thought the fairy lights were so beautiful. Main bed was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on due to electrical remote under blankets. Wasn’t sure if we could remove so left alone.
- Krys (10/5): My friends and I really enjoyed our 1 night stay , everything was there that we needed , it was clean comfy and we all e - The house had everything you could need while away on holidays , we enjoyed the card game that was there ( a few board games would have been cool tho ) There was nothing to not like !!!!
I guess if you’re being picky , there was no view on offer for the price that you paid
- Ayman (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (8/5): Good stay with a secure yard for a dog. - Secure yard for the dog was great.
Access was simple by instructions provided. Fridge was not clean. Eg There was opened yoghurt in the fridge with an expiry date of June 2024.( 3 months ago).
Bedroom floor not clean.
- Melissa (9/5): Quiet - Location
Price
Modern
Spacious
- Dean (9/5): I was down for just a short time bit would happily stay there again for longer. - The backyard was nice and spacious. The lounge was comfy and pets were allowed on it, with a blanket. The shower was lovely. At times the noise from the street was a bit loud.
- Lisa (10/5): Nice kind and gentle house. - We loved the calm vibe and felt very relaxed like the house gave us a big warm welcoming hug.
We liked the guitar and the comfortable beds and Netflix. The shower screen was kind of in the wrong place to turn the bath taps on.
- Grey (10/5): Will definitely stay here if we travel south again. - - my bed felt like sleeping on a cloud!!
- spacious without feeling empty or clinical.
- very clean without the classic disinfectant smells that can linger.
- host was incredibly accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. - please water your Fiddle Leaf Fig plant next to the television, it’s mad at the world 🤣
- Jack (8/5): Very good -
- Rachael (10/5): Great place for our trip. House had everything you need - The property was spacious, clean, comfortable and good sized beds and everything you need
- Cath (10/5): Comfortable, relaxing home with top quality facilities suitable for a short or long stay. - Beautiful coastal house with a lovely outdoor area and fenced back yard. Excellent facilities. Short walk to North Wollongong Beach.
- Lee (9/5): Superb -
- Troy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Seema (9/5): Excellent property and very comfortable stay with the pets - The host seems to have thought about pretty much everything for the guests and the guests fur babies. Excellent property all was great
- Grant (9/5): Superb -
- Kelly (8/5): Very good - The house was in perfect location. It had everything we needed and more. It's a great place to stay. The owner has set it up very homey & comfortable. Everything you need is there and more. Beds are comfortable, the shower is great. We loved the back deck. And also being able to park off the street under carport was fantastic. So much lighting aswell Nothing, we would 100% stay again when we come back to Wollongong.
Just need to change batteries in TV remote in bedroom it doesn't work
- Sherrilee (10/5): Exceptional - Best stay ever!
- Mary (10/5): Cosy , equipped, quiet and comfortable - Great place to stay - fully equipped and comfortable setting, will book again.
- Irene (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable, clean and had all you needed in the kitchen
- Hannah (8/5): Very good - Close to train station. Lovely yard and barbeque. A good place to relax
- Herne (7/5): Great location kid friendly lovely home - Great location for the medical centre It’s a lovely spot it needs a big spring clean not just the between guest clean
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (9/5): Comfortable stay - Lovely house with large rooms and a neat yard. The house had everything we needed and more, the high chair and portable cot were very handy.
- Milly (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful home, with everything you could need! Very close to beach, and to some great restaurants.
- Stacie (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (9/5): Beautiful comfortable house with easy access and lovely host. - Super comfortable beds, homely feeling of house, spacious. Nothing
- Raffaella (8/5): Very good - Proximity to university & train station. Very clean. Host very responsive. I was a solo traveller but Probably good house also for families, lot of space, safe & nice, well equipped kitchen.
Quiet area. not many restaurants/cafes very close (but probably something in 10-15 mins walk)
Slightly overpriced but the fact that it’s clean and comfortable pays back
- Paul (9/5): Great value and great location, Would highly recommend - Location was great and everything was exactly as we would have hoped. Nothing to add here!
- Price (10/5): Exceptional - It was very spacious and the beds were great, awesome facilities and in a cracking location! Not a negative thing to say!
- Nicole (5/5): Disappointed - Central location. Nice easy walk to a cafe The property was advertised as having a pool. The pool has been pulled down. This was very disappointing as I was looking forward to the pool.
- Leanne (9/5): Great little property - Great outdoor space, with all you need for a comfortable stay.
- Meghan (10/5): Great spot, comfy, clean, has everything and close to beach. - Easy access, off street parking, good amenities and comfy bed. Everything you need. Nil
- Lisa (9/5): A lovely, homely place to stay in. Clean, comfy & private - Location, size, privacy, comfort It’s a little pricey for a night stay, but we’ve stayed here before & know that it’s good
- Ian (9/5): Lovely older style house in suburban setting. - Older style house in excellent condition. Rooms were large, beds comfortable, with good bedside lighting. The deck out the back was wonderful, and the pet-friendly set up with gated backyard meant our dog was happy too, The kitchen was large, well-lit and fully equipped with lots of utensils and appliances - they even had an electric frying pan! The only problem we encountered was the pool was empty when we arrived. Pool not available. The stools on the back deck were a little unstable. But there was a table and six confortable chairs so we used them.
- Heather (9/5): Great stay, wish it was longer. - Comfy bed and lounge area, helpful compendium with info about the property and places nearby, lovely covered deck outdoors and large grassy fenced backyard for the dog to run in. Carport was useful to provide undercover access to the house when raining and was convenient for unpacking and packing the car. It was more expensive than I would normally like to spend, but would be better value if more people were sharing the cost so next time I would consider booking with a friend. Not a negative comment, as it is worth the price, just was a bigger place than I needed but was what was available at the time.
- Cath (9/5): Beautiful, comfortable, well appointed house - Beautiful layout and comfortable Being on the wrong side of the railway line made it tricky RE driving
- Anamareea (10/5): Comfy & Relaxing Home - Loved this cute cottage house! Beautiful house that is so comfy to walk into but surprisingly spacious! We loved the comfy beds and couch. We would definitely stay again! For such a busy town we could drive in and easily relax and unwind in seconds feeling at home straight away. Had everything we needed and would highly recommend! Nothing I didn't like.
- Leigh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joey66 (9/5): A great house with everything you needed. - A great home away from away. Very comfortable.
- Gary (10/5): SUPERB!!!!! - The whole house was just great. Every little detail was thought of. We had a brilliant stay!!
- Lisa (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here. Beautifully appointed, clean, quiet and plenty of room. We’ll be back for sure - Plenty of room, a few different areas to sit & relax. The owners have thought of everything, well equiped peaceful house our stay wasn’t long enough
- Booth (9/5): Superb -
- Jess (10/5): Exceptional -
- Duncan (1/5): bad - Leaving When you have been promised the "entire home to yourself" you do not expect sometime to waltz in unannounced and take up residence in the flat above the garage, which overlooks your supposedly private garden. You can hear them on the phone, singing in the shower etc, they come and go as they please and park their car in the front garden just outside your bedroom window, which is jammed open. When I messaged the host he seemed surprise it was issue for me, as if I was being hypersensitive. I don't know about that. If it doesn't bother you then by all means rent this place, see if I care. You are welcome to it.
