Guest Reviews
- Vincent (10/5): Very nice holiday retreat, within driving distance of many attractions - Very nice comfortable house
Lots of room
Beautiful furniture
The house feels like a real home and not like a bare minimum holiday rental (plenty of cutlery etc…)
Within walking distance of Tesco Express.
Our friendly host was in touch before arrival and departure Nothing

- MargaretBar (9/5): - The location of the house was superb, only a short stroll into the town centre. The bedrooms were really roomy with good bathroom facilities. The house was well furnished with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, particularly. The garden looked amazing, although we weren't able to take advantage of it at this time of year. The house was super warm and cosy with freezing temperatures outside.Selby was so helpful and made sure our stay was perfect. The parking was quite tight (we had 3 cars). A four slice toaster would be a plus but that's just being picky!
- Julie (10/5): - Great location, 10 minutes walk to town centre There wasn't anything I can think of
- Mike (10/5): Brilliant place in a great location. - Fantastic location and a pleasure to stay here. We were unable to stay longer.
- Duncan (9/5): - Amazingly well equipped
Great location for the high street and Watercress line
Good communication from the host Selby
- KATHY (10/5): Perfect for our 3 generation family get together -
- Naresh (10/5): A spotless, well-equipped & comfortable stay in a great location with an attentive host! - The cleanliness and facilities were absolutely impeccable, and the kitchen was extremely well maintained and fully equipped, making it easy and enjoyable to use. The beds were very comfortable and ensured a great night’s sleep, while the bathrooms and showers were spotless with excellent water pressure and consistently hot water.
The house itself was very spacious, well-kept, and felt welcoming throughout. The location was also excellent, with everything we needed close by, making it a very convenient base for our stay. Our host was incredibly kind and attentive, always available to help and making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would happily return again.
- cecelia (10/5): Excellent comfortable stay with our grownup family - Great facilities. Welcoming host. Beautiful and interesting decor. Comfortable beds. Spacious rooms. Clear instructions
- Gaynor (10/5): We had a lovely stay to celebrate my friend’s big birthday. - Perfect location. 4 double bedrooms and spacious living area. Lots of character. Sunny garden.
Selby was a very helpful host.
- Chris (8/5): Just lovely - Super property - very lucky to be able to stay in someone's home that is clearly well loved. Bit of local construction noise at times. Quiet at the weekend though.
- Rihana (10/5): As I said I booked it again this year that surely it all.I can’t fault anything it was home from home . The host was ama - The property was amazing, comfortable, clean , homely stayed there last year and again this year . N/a
- Lilly (5/5): - Very easy host to communicate with. Kitchen handles were sticky.
- Susan (10/5): Perfect location, host and property. Highly recommend. - Superb location, and very well equipped home. Met by the owner who was very helpful, and one of the most accommodating hosts we have encountered. Fully fitted kitchen with plentiful supplies. Home in a quiet cul de sac with a beautiful garden within easy walking distance of the delightful village of New Alresford.
- Eli (10/5): Beautiful property in a quiet town, idyllic getaway long weekend. - Great host and communication, place was beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and plenty of kitchen supplies. That we only had 3 nights there
- Joanna (10/5): A really enjoyable long weekend! - The house and beautifully-kept enclosed garden were a great base for us to explore the area and to come home to in the evenings. The kitchen was very well-equipped which was a definite bonus, and the beds were comfortable. The host, Selby, was friendly and approachable and made sure that our stay was an enjoyable one. We hadn't realised beforehand how close we would be to Alresford station and the Watercress Line - it was just a few minutes' walk away, really convenient! - and we spent a great day going up and down the line on the steam-train. Winchester with all its attractions is also just a shortish bus-ride away, and the local riverside walk is lovely! The floor in my (upstairs middle) bedroom was rather creaky, so I was worried about possibly disturbing the others at night - but they said they didn't hear anything, thankfully!
- Rihana (10/5): Fabulous property very very well maintained - The property was absolutely amazing so clean each room had its own charm felt like home from home . So impressed had everything from utilities to crockery etc.. can’t fault anything .A*
- Camilla (8/5): A lovely spot for a few days stay. - The location of the property is superb. A 5 minute walk to the centre of the lovely village. Selby was really helpful and met us on arrival. The house has comfortable beds, is spacious & well equipped. The garden was nice too.
- Kitty (10/5): Brilliant spacious and well equipped - Really lovely property with loads of space for our family to sprawl out. Beautiful garden in full bloom with lots of seating areas and BBQ. Incredibly well equipped kitchen. Loads of bathrooms so we could all have privacy. Big comfy beds. Great location 8 mins walk to lovely town of Arlesford. Lots to do for us around there. Really loved it and will be back. Selby was a brilliant and quick communicator and was friendly and flexible. Nothing
