Important Information
Please inform Rainbow Paradise Beach Resort in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
Payment before arrival via bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.
A damage deposit of MYR 100 is required on arrival. This will be collected as a cash payment. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full in cash, subject to an inspection of the property.
From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Please note that guests checking-in must provide proof or verification of identity. In the event that the guest checking in is different from the guest who made the reservation, the hotel reserves the right to hold the booking. If the guest who made the booking is not the one checking-in, this information must communicated to the hotel upon booking. Upon check-in, the hotel reserves the right to request for documents for identity verification.
With effect from 1 June 2014, the Penang City Council will be imposing a city tax of MYR 3 per room per night, which is payable directly to the hotel upon check-in.

- Sanesh (3/5): Very basic 90s style hotel. - Location was great. 1. The staff need to learn what hospitality is. Everytime i asked for help they would tell me do it myself. Eg. I asked if i could use the bin at reception and shw said to use the one down stairs. 2. The elevator is creeky when moving. 3. The pool was closed for the entire week with no prior warning. No discount or apology was offered. When asked when it would open they would say tomorrow. 4. I was given 2 pool towel cards but couldnt ise it because the pool was closed. So iasked for 2 towels to take to the beach, this turned out be massive motivational speech as to why i needed the towel and what i was going to do with it. 5. The i was never offered any help with anything. Porter, tours, restaurants or laundry. 6. The hall ways look like its out of a spooky movie. There are many abandoned rooms when walking down to your room. Broken door latches, broken trimmings, broken signs, broken lights, ripped carpets etc. 7. The room was very worn out. The shower cubicle was grimmy. We didnt use it at all. There was a few lizzards running the rooms too. 8. The kitchen utensils were non existent. 9. Fridge didnt work. 10. The cleaning staff lacked basic equipment. There was lady sweeping a carpet in the lobby were the kids play. This could have been executed better with a vacuum cleaner. All around the hotel there was staff using out dated tools. 11. there was no telephone in the room. No way to contact reception. 12. Hair dryer was useless. 13. None of the plugs catered for international plugs for international guests

- Hashim (5/5): Passable - THE LIFT SERVICE WAS VERY VERY BAD on the day I checked in...Maintenance staff could easily overcome the lift problem from early morning rather than doing work/repair at the time guest arrived .

- Sharifah (4/5): A Visit Not Worth Repeating - The Mangrove Cafe serves good food. Delicious & tasty. I stayed at the hotel long time ago, when it was called Paradise Sandy Bay, I did really enjoy myself here before. When I returned to this place as Rainbow Paradise, I ws so disappointed. I donโt think it is fit to be called a hotel. I wouldnโt recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family members. If you book direct through the hotel, the rate is quite high compared to the facilities there. It is a rundown hotel and the management should do something about it if you want to see better future of the staff. Luckily I stayed here for one night only. I moved to another hotel, with about the same rate but more fit to be called a hotel

- Khuzaity (10/5): Exceptional - 5 stars ๐๐๐๐๐ Had a great stay at Rainbow Paradise in Penang! The room was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful sea view. The location is perfectโright by the beach, close to local food, and it was easy for me to get to the Kailas Skyrace Penang 2025. Itโs also more affordable compared to other hotels nearby, which made it great value. The host was friendly and responsive, making check-in and check-out super easy. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

- Ambarasi (6/5): Improve room service. - I like the big room n see view 1st day I stay at 1404 room ,very hot aircorn not cool.Then change room 1811 ,this room door entrance problem scan Dua three time but can not open the door.Go down to reception.The malay guy give another card,but this card also problem can not open the door.I walk to three time until tention bcoz no aircorn at walkway also.this make upset.at last only the maintenance come n repair the door scanner.
