- Kerry (10/5): Will definitely book again! - Great location, we had a car. Very central to resorts and shops. Lovely clean accomodation with plenty of room for a family.
- shunsuke (10/5): -

- Jodi (10/5): Would definitely stay here again - Clean, modern and spacious for our group of 6
Great location with shuttle bus available out the front
Nick was a great host who looked after us well with transfers and a trip to the supermarket for supplies
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Great cottage and location. Had everything you need. The host was extremely nice and helpful. Nothing
- Yitpeng (9/5): A very comfortable stay at a good location. - We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The host, Nick, was very kind and took us to the supermarket to stock up on groceries. Ski shuttle bus stops were near the cottage. It was easy to get to the slopes. The pillows were too soft
- Riley (9/5): Great stay for groups visiting unreal snow location - Property is located in a great spot at Hakuba with fantastic owner Nick.
Facilities are great for a group staying together with cooking and washing appliances a plenty. Heating is perfect during the winter season too.
- Rizalvo (9/5): Best HQ for a big family if you visiting Hakuba - Nick was very helpful in helping us to find the place as we arrived quite late with heavy snowfall. He helped us to checked in and get comfortable and also told us some tips and which slopes good for kids and beginner. His backyard is the best place and our kids had massive fun playing snow there. The big hakuba, lawson, are all driving distance. It maybe a bit difficult if you dont have a car but we wouldnt know as we were using chartered car due to our luggages. Overall, we had great experience and would definitely look out for his place again if we ever return to Hakuba!

- Catherine (9/5): Pleasant stay! Very thoughtful hosts! Perfect for families! - Nice and cozy house! Perfect for families! Parking space, comfortable beds, black out curtains, fully equipped kitchen, bath and 2 toilets, robot vacuum, and a washing machine and dryer! They also have a BBQ grill prepared outside and a nice outdoor deck next to the living room. Property is close to everything, tho we used our car often, but trips are 2-5 mins only to Iwatake Harbor, Happo One and Coop supermarket! Nick and Hiro came to say hi which was very nice. Will gladly stay again! There’s only one AC in the house which was in the kitchen. I think it was strategically placed to heat or cool the whole house. We went in October so it gets chilly at night and in the morning. We had to open our room doors so the heat will go in the rooms. They said the house has floor heating so maybe you’ll be fine in winter.
Bathroom and shower head can be cleaner.
- Susan (10/5): A great house at a great price in a major ski field area! - This is house is exceptionally good value for the money we spent in a major ski area. The 3 bedrooms were all large with very comfortable beds & pillows. We were travelling as 6 adults and there was enough space for us all. The kitchen was modern & suitable for our needs. The bathroom is also modern & clean with an additional separate 2nd toilet. It was also handy having a laundry inside. There's a couple of bus stops to the various ski fields right outside the door, although more info about the bus timetable would be very useful. Buses don't start returning back from the fields until after 3pm. There are a few restaurants within walking distance - however BOOK some before you arrive as most were booked out during peak season. There are shops within walking distance, along with ski hire if required. We would have no hesitation at recommending this house or booking it again in the future. Note that if you arrive on an early train, it's not really suitable to take your gear to the house due to cleaning from the previous guests etc. We'd already sent the majority of our gear to Nick via the Black Cat transport service, which allowed us to travel around without all the skiis. Having said that, we did arrive slightly early & Nick allowed us to put our additional luggage inside the door. This was fine as it allowed us to walk to the nearby shops and buy supplies & hire any gear we needed. However, because we were early, Nick was busy working so we had to catch a taxi to the house (which was also ok). On the whole, it's not really a negative - Nick is only a phone call away if you need to speak to him.
- Riley (10/5): 10/10 Great place to stay! - Property was located in a quiet yet convenient location. A cozy cottage perfect for a family or group of friends. Had everything we could ask for from heated flooring to being spacious both inside and outside the property. Nick was a legend who gave us a lift to the happo ski lift and to the bus terminal when we were leaving. Our group of friends have nothing bad to say about our stay and were blown away by the level of service. Would come back in a heartbeat.
- Henthopet (10/5): Exceptional - Nick was a fabulous host. He helped with arrival and departure as well as providing great advice.
- Chan (10/5): Exceptional - Close to all places in Hakuba. Clean rooms and attention to details for comfort and convenience.
- Jean (8/5): Clean, quiet, convenient cottage near the slopes. Perfect for a family ski vacation. - Host was very helpful and responsive. It’s basic, nothing fancy, but with all the amenities needed.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Li (9/5): Superb - great location, enough space for family, all the essential equipments for comfortable living. Last but not the least, great house owner!
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional - The house was clean and well taken care of.
The location was great- We were able to walk to places to eat (Starbucks was 10min walk) and it was a short drive to the mountain, lake, river, etc..
We love taking our dog on adventures and it was a bonus that he loved this place. Perfect outdoor area. We will definitely come back. We would have preferred one queen bed in the space.
- Sangeetak (10/5): Exceptional - Location, lawns, facilities inside the house,
Kitchen Sofa is too small width wise.
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage has everything necessary. It is very warm and cozy. We had plenty of space and slept very well. The property is located within walkable distance of the supermarket, restaurants and Starbucks coffee. -
- Rejoice (10/5): Exceptional - nick was really friendly and accommodating
- Lok (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (10/5): Great place , plenty of room. Nick the host is very accommodating , helped us out whenever we needed. - perfect for large group
- Vio88 (9/5): Superb - Well equipped cottage with very helpful host. Pillows are too soft and small.
- Kok (10/5): A very nice house that I would come back to! - The house was well equipped that ensured a good stay. It was spotless as well! At the entrance, there was sufficient space to put all our ski boots and jackets, and spacious enough for our family of 5.
Coming from a tropical country, I am always worried about the heating. This house had floor heating and it was sufficiently warm and cosy. Nick even went the extra mile to turn on the heating so that we would turn up at a nicely warmed house. Very thoughtful.
The bedrooms were nice and warm too, beds were comfortable.
The kitchen was an absolute pleasure to cook in and had a dishwasher to minimize cleaning time.
The washer and dryer was essential for drying out all the clothes thoroughly. There was even a blower for drying out ski gloves.
Bathroom had heated flooring also, as well as heated bidets.
It is located near Echoland so there are restaurants nearby. The ski fields are also a short drive away. We absolutely loved staying here. Nothing really but if I were to nitpick, we had trouble finding the house at first.
- Sergei (8/5): Comfortable base to explore Japan Alps - It is an updated and well maintained property in central location in Hakuba. Owners are very pleasant and very supportive. Kitchen is well equipped and stocked. TV has Netflix subscription which worked out well for kids. Excellent Happo onsen is literally 2 min away by car or 10 min walk. We stayed in the place in summer, when the weather gets quite hot. There is one A/C unit in the living room, bedrooms have no A/C. We solved the problem by purchasing electric fans to force cooled air into the bedrooms, which worked well, everyone was comfortable. Also, only one shower in the house. Was not a problem for us but with six beds I can see this becoming a problem for some people.
