Guest Reviews
- Wade (4/5): Open Door on Arrival - On late arrival in the dark, we arrived to find the door wide open and the heating turned off in the middle of winter. This immediately caused confusion and concern. Thankfully, there were no people or animals inside to greet us, and the beds at least had electric blankets on. The host was very apologetic and advised that the cleaner had accidentally left the door open.
- Vicki (8/5): Lovely location but not particularly welcoming. - Lovely spacious unit with views over the vines and restricted river views.
Comfortable bed. Adequate kitchen equipment. A few helpful consumables. Lots of little issues; no fly wire on an open window ( mosquitoes on the first night), no light at the front door, chipped china, superficially clean only, generally not welcoming.
- Bianca (10/5): View was incredible, local wineries beautiful, loved the huge bath tub - The location, looking over Tamar Winery Too many signs saying if you do this you will get a cleaning fine.
- Neil (10/5): -
- Ewa (9/5): We had a very pleasant, relaxing stay there. - Very nice location overlooking vineyard, hills and river. Spacious unit with all you need for a short stay. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Initially Internet was slow but working but not on the weekend. Also, TV remote control needs new batteries as we couldn’t get it switch on.
- Peter (9/5): We would come back - Great location on the Tamar River. Very close to vineyards and only a short drive to great restaurants in Launceston. The decor is a little tired. Some minor plumbing issues have been raised directly with the owner. None of these impacted our enjoyment of the property.
“Tranquility” is relative. The property is located on the West Tamar Highway and is also in a working vineyard.
- Patricia (10/5): Fabulous views from the property -
- Prudence (10/5): -
- Kerr (7/5): Spacious. Nice view. Bit of highway noise though. Convenient. - More comfortable seating in the lounge area. Two person couch was OK. Only one uncomfortable chair. One or two comfortable chairs would have been nice in addition to the couch. Maybe a smaller dining table?
Coffee machine or even Nespresso would be good. Not a fan of instant and it's a 10 minute drive to get fresh coffee.
- Julieanne (10/5): A wonderful place to relax. - Loved the peace and quiet. The view was magnificent, even in rainy weather.
It had everything we needed and was so well situated too. Nothing
- Estelle (9/5): - Great facilities, luxurious bathroom. Wonderful atmosphere with big windows looking out over the Tamar Valley. Close to a noisy road.
- David (8/5): - Great view, spacious, comfortable, clean
- Charmayne (10/5): Headed to Launceston for short weekend getaway as had not been to that part of Tassie. Would HIGHLY recommend the accomo - It’s view.
Close proximity to attractions.
Quiet location If anything- the bathroom floor may suggest underfloor heating- as was freezing compared to the heated unit.
The garbage bin was already full when we arrived- possibly an oversight. But not to be negative as the hosts explained where the overflow bins were located.
- Geoff (9/5): Add a garage and I could live there. - Felt at home 30 seconds after opening the door. Great layout and architecture; airy. Decent dining table. Lovely glass windows to delightful elevated view. Booking.com didn't advise No. or location of building, so had to phone to ascertain which lock box to use.
Lighting over dining area a little lacking.
- carolyn (9/5): Was a great relaxing stay with really good facilities - It is quiet and self contained Found lighting to front door tricky when arriving after dinner in the dark.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cathy (9/5): Superb - Really good being amongst the trees and experiencing the wildlife Unfortunately road noise spoils the location
- Kroon (9/5): Superb - Beautiful location overlooking the vineyard and the water.
Mattress was very comfortable and the whole place was well equipped for everything we needed. Afternoon heat through the big glass windows. The air-conditioning unit is too small to combat the amount of heat coming in.
- Klaas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isobel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (9/5): Very peaceful stay - It was all really good
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katrina (10/5): The first night beautiful - The venue was beautiful It is isolated when there is a dangerous situation. Needs a personal safety alarm to the police. With only one door for entrance and exit, if you cannot climb out a window or jump off the balcony its a alot of strategic efforts to get to a door
