A unique room, furnished like a museum. Features portraits of the Pisani dynasty, 18th-century paintings on the ceilings, and red and mustard-colored wall tapestries hiding the bathroom doors. - Ian (9/5): A beautiful hotel with elegant decor and very helpful staff in a very good central location. - This is a beautiful, elegant hotel. It has an excellent location overlooking the Grand Canal close to the Accademia Bridge so good for exploring on foot as well as catching the Vaporetto. We had the unusual experience of staying in 3 different rooms with the Doge being totally incredible, like sleeping in an art gallery or museum. Whilst the Doge room was incredible the bathroom facilities were a little spartan, whereas our other rooms were fabulous. But don't let that put you off this room which is breathtakingly beautiful. There wasn't really any cooked options for breakfast (other than eggs) but plenty of lovely continental fare.

Teil sehr einfach bis mittelmäßig, der Preis dafür aber sehr hoch. Das Frühstück ist für den Preis ok. Der Zugang zum Hotel ist schlecht und dunkel, abends vor allem auch nicht ausreichend beleuchtet. Der Zugang zum Hotel erfolgt durch einen dunklen kaum unbeleuchteten Tunnel
- camilleccon (8/5): Lovely cinematic stay - It is right beside if not part of the Palazzo Pisano. The breakfast area has amazing views of the canal and you could really get a feel of Venice staying here. We took the train from Florence to Venice so the best way to get to the hotel is via water taxi which added to the vibe of being in Venice. At least in the 4 rooms that we have booked - there were no elevators to get to the rooms. So if you can't go up and down stairs - I would not recommend.

- Friedrich (6/5): Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, eine Renovierung jedoch dringend notwendig - Die Lage ist bombastisch und nicht zu überbieten. Direkt am Kanal Grande gelegen, mit Blick auf Santa Maria della Salute Die Zimmer haben dringend eine komplette Renovierung nötig. Von den beiden Waschbecken war nur eines an die Wasserversorgung angeschlossen. Das vorhandene Bidet war komplett von der Wasserversorgung abgetrennt. Bei dem gezahlten Preis nicht zu erwarten.

They gave us tips re: taking public Transat and answered all of questions right away! Nothing was wrong, but given the construction of the bldg adjacent to the PP grand, signage could have been Bigger to indicate we had arrived at the hotel. Also, pillows were very flat but a comfortable bed!

Location was remote enough to be private and yet still convenient to walk to. Water taxi private ramp in lobby was soooo convenient. People at desk were wonderful! Beds were hard, pillows were flat.
- Dmitry (7/5): The expectations were much higher. Next time in Venice we'll look for something different. - Location is excellent! Rooms are spacious. Please keep in mind that most of the rooms aren't located in this beautiful building which you see on the photos. The suites with no Canal view are located in a neighbour building. We wanted to have a breakfast in this beautiful room with the Grand Canal views, but the staff always said something like: “I don't know, we must check availability, maybe it's fully booked, we'll contact you later...” Of course no one contacted us. We asked three times during three days of our stay and haven't got any distinct answer. At the time of our stay it was a period of construction works at the building, and no one warned us in advance of course... It's not very nice to go to the hotel through a construction site. The suite we had — it was a two-roomed space, which is not very clean, there are numerous spots of something on the carpet... WiFi is quite slow. Altogether I must unfortunately admit that the property isn't providing the full information about the accommodation.

Very very tiny bathrooms, and the location wasn’t the best. The strange dark alleyways and different entrance for our building was odd. We found an old makeup tool on our carpet when we first checked in our room (carpets weren’t cleaned?). And had to walk up a ton of stairs with luggage (3 flights). AC was not adjustable and room felt stuffy

You just have to be aware that a 100 years ago there were staircases not lifts. So quite a lot of stairs to walk. But it was really worth it.

Un endroit qui fait rêver … comme si nous étions en visite chez une comtesse italienne d un grand âge:). La terrasse, l emplacement parfait. Il n y a plus de bar… Nous adorons loger dans le batiment principal et malheureusement nous etions loger dans un autre établissement. Il paraît q il y a un menu aux petit-déjeuner.. nous ne lavons jamais reçu.

- Gary (3/5): A shabby room, no view, no facilities, the room was not even at the hotel - The room was a good size and the location was great. we loved Venice overall. we did not even stay in the hotel, we were placed in a shared apartment building around the corner. The room was tired and was accessed via a dirty stairwell. The room bore the resemblance to the rooms showed on their website. The hotel has no facilities at all, no bar or restaurant that was made available. As part of this apartment block is not owned by the hotel, they had no control over some of the residents, one of which played loud music at 3.30am. Mosquitos were also a problem in the room, with noisy aircon, had to leave window open, need window screens.

Kind of cave-like. A door that was paper this directly to the stare case and a staff that was no help. Selected comments from staff in sequence, "we will tomorrow have a new room for you in the building" and "you can talk to the manager tomorrow", next day new receptionist "trust me, you do not want that room" and "manager will be here later", later same day, new receptionist, " my collegue is lying, the manager is sick up to the 15th". Long story short, do go there.

From the arrival the greeting by a male member of staff was blunt and rude. There was eye rolling and sarcasim, when I asked a question. We also asked for Breakfast and it was immediately denied, then when asked about it for the following day, it felt like an inconvenience and even though we asked with more notice were told no. No soap was left in the room, and the towels were not replaced. We were also left half a bottle of opened water, and this was not replenished during the duration of our stay.

Cette suite présidentielle manque d’entretien manifeste, pas du tout à la hauteur de la prestation annoncé Déjà venus dans cet hôtel précédemment, nous avons constaté un manque important d’entretien Nous ne reviendrons plus !

С утра идут ремонтные работы и отдохнуть вам не получится. в 5 утра начался сильный шум от чего я проснулась. Когда приехали сначала не могли понять как зайти и откуда вообще подойти, за свои же деньги столько стресса я никогда не испытывала. не советую пока у них ремонт не закончится вообще бронировать этот отель. The lock from the cabinet closet in the room didn't work so we kept banging against the doors when trying to move around it and the toilet didn't fill back after flushing. We didn't complain about this because we spent must of the days out of the room and went only to sleep.

- ethan (5/5): - the bedroom and location were absolutely perfect Our first reservation was cancelled three days before departure without any explanations, calling on the phone from another country trying to have answers from someone who hardly speaks English isn't the most reassuring first experience. I ended up having to book a room that was more expensive just to be sure I would have a room to stay in during my stay in Venice. Also, the staff....After multiple requests as our toilets weren't working, the man at the front desk responded with distain, clearly showing that we were bothering him. Our issue was only resolved once one of his coworkers, the nice lady that welcomed us took things in control. Furthermore our room wasn't cleaned until we asked for it to be, the room was also booked for three people but was only set up for two. Considering the price of the room I was expecting for everything to go smoothly, especially when advertised with a VIP treatment. All together the room in itself was perfect, the service not so much.

It is an authentic Palazzo formerly (a long time ago) owned by one of the Doges..... What's good enough for him...... could just meet your expectations. Now here is a real treat just off of the most crowded spaces yet directly on the Gran Canal. Rooms are palacial retaining much of their original charm. They are not over renovated but let you experience the original charm. So if a slightly slanted floor puts you off, original stonework is too antiquated for you then perhaps a Best Western is a better choice....... and a little tip on the side..... Venice these days especially around carnival and the summer is overcrowded BUT if one morning you were to decide to go to Rialto Bridge, Piazza San Marco etc and you were to do this before breakfast ie @0630-0700 you will have the town to yourself.... AND the coffee shop around the corner is superb with quiet outside seating....

(And I've stayed in fancier hotels) Everything I truly love- The weight of history , the splendour , the ambiance touched my soul.. I spent 3 wonderful nights and days in December in the Biblioteca suite and it was worth it.. I hope to go back again with my children one day in the future.. Nothing - it was absolutely perfect..

- anne-charlotte (1/5): Fin de séjour catastrophique et service client déplorable - Excellente localisation Nous avons été évacués de notre hôtel la dernière nuit à la suite d’une inspection des pompiers : les systèmes de sécurité incendie n’étaient pas aux normes. Nous avions payé une suite familiale vue grand canal et avons été relogés dans de petites chambres, séparées donnant sur un mur. Malgré les écrits de l’hôtel et leur engagement à nous rembourser cette nuit (en déduisant le prix du relogement ce qui est déjà scandaleux) nous n’avons perçu aucun remboursement.

- Paul (5/5): Beautiful hotel, but a misery to be relocated due to fire safety regulations. - The suite was very large, stylishly furnished, clean and warm – all in all a place to feel comfortable. BUT… We were not satisfied with the accommodation… We had booked for five nights and after three days were unexpectedly asked to leave the hotel within two hours. According to the staff, it was a fire department closure. They booked us accommodation in another hotel that was almost the same price, but in comparison, it was unacceptable. To this day, we have not received any refund from either booking.com or the Hotel Palazzo Pisani for the two days that were wrongly charged.

- Corina (7/5): Gorgeous view and awesome location. - The location was superb, staff friendly, room incredibly spacious with luxurious bathrooms and bedding incredibly comfortable. I will never get over the beautiful view from our “Salute” suite in the adjacent building. Being able to take a water taxi to and from the hotel lobby was definitely a big perk. The significantly sloping floor in the primary room of the suite was unnerving. My roller bag would roll on its own if not placed on the luggage rack or on its side. I slept horizontally/across on the bed because the headboard was at the bottom of the slope. and at one point I felt a little vertigo when walking in the room. I know Venice is sinking and assume this has something to do with it. So is it normal? I don’t know as it was our first time. But it really put a damper on feeling safe in the room. Which is unfortunate because the location, size, view and staff were all wonderful.

- Faisal (10/5): An unforgettable and magical Venetian experience — luxurious, romantic, and truly one of a kind. - This was by far our most memorable stay during our Italy trip, and I cannot recommend it enough. We were fortunate to get the best room in the hotel — located on the ground floor with breathtaking Grand Canal views, featuring two large windows and a small balcony door directly overlooking the canal. The room itself was beautifully decorated in a classic old-fashioned style, and we were truly fascinated by the history and character of the place. Spending our wedding anniversary here made the experience even more special and unforgettable. The location was excellent, offering easy walkability to major attractions while still feeling peaceful, quiet, and comfortable. The option to book a private water taxi directly connecting the hotel to the main parking and train station area was extremely convenient. The restaurant is also a must-visit, both for its beautiful décor and delicious food, and we appreciated the 10% discount offered to hotel residents. One minor inconvenience was a late-night check-in of guests in the room above us, where the noise from luggage being placed on the floor briefly disturbed our sleep.
