• Rita (10/5): Beautiful and pleasant hotel/hostel just across from Getsêmani’s historic center - Location is great, just across the street from the historic Getsêmani district and very close to Plaza Centenário. Good infrastructure around. Beautiful facilities with lots of thoughtful details (a rooftop terrace, great kitchen, TV, ping-pong table, many sitting areas, coffee/hot water all day, books and games, a souvenir store, a drink dispenser). The supervisor, Mr. Macias, is very kind and solicitous. All staff I met was very kind and helpful. Breakfast included would be nice, but rates are reasonable and there are many cafés nearby. We also have the use of the kitchen and refrigerators.

• Andrii (9/5): - I like they have ACs turned on all the time and the air seems fresh, so there’re well serviced. Kitchen room is nice, equipment is very bad. There’s no a single kettle and very simple things for basic cookings.

• David (8/5): Would recommend for any traveler looking for a quiet place, but read carefully - The location of the hostel is very central. It is in La Matuna, but a street away from Getsemani. I am a light sleeper and I didn’t want to be in the fuss of the city. This hostel was great for that and it was very quiet! The beds were very comfy and it had A/C. April 10th 2025 Here are a few things you should consider before booking there : (1) A/C is running 24 hours a day in the dorms. 21 degrees. Be careful, because the room is cold and the weather in Cartagena is really hot l. The constant changes between hot and cold can have a toll on our body (it did on mine). (2) Kitchen equipment, especially pots and pans, is outdated or too worn out. The kitchen is also dirty. They want guests to clean after themselves, but we don’t have access to dish towels and there is only 1 dish rack. Also, it is really hard to wash the pots and pans properly because, like I said, they are worn out. (3) There was a weird smell in the dorm. I think it might come from the A/C not being cleaned frequently or mold on the wall? I’ll put some pictures so I’ll let you be the judge of that. (4) This is not your typical hostel. The front desk staff can be cold and there are no activities organized. Also people are not engaging with each other. Update from April 13th 2025 I expected the owner would respond to my review, as they tend to reply in a way that shifts blame onto guests. This is not a bad hostel. My review simply pointed out areas that could be improved. I did extend my stay, but I later regretted it. I’m currently in Medellín feeling unwell, and the constant A/C may have contributed to that. Regarding the kitchen, some issues are also due to lack of proper equipment: I had to use bathroom paper towels to dry dishes, the sponges were old, and the pots and pans made cooking and cleaning difficult as food would stick to them. Finally, the photo of the wall is not from the restroom but from the dorm under the A/C. The paint is swollen from water damage, likely due to condensation or dripping, which may also explain the damp smell in the room. Or it might come from the toilet. Who knows.

• Lampros (5/5): Λύση ανάγκης - Το στρώμα ήταν εξαιρετικό όπως και το σημείο. Το προσωπικό πάντα πολύ ευγενικό και το κατάλυμα ένιωθες ότι φρόντιζε για την ασφάλεια όλο το 24ωρο. Το κατάλυμα ήταν βρώμικο με κακοδιατηρημένο δωμάτιο. Μύριζε έντονα ενώ η ηχομόνωση ήταν κακή.

• Andres (9/5): Great facilities. Rude staff. - Great place. The location is amazing, just across the street from one of Getsemani's main streets and just a couple of blocks from Centenario Park, the pier and the clock tower. The rooms were super comfortable, I've stayed in a private room with four other friends and each one of us had our own private pod with a private bathroom for the room. A/C (very importante in Cartagena). The room and the whole place was spotless clean. Kitchen and common areas were great. I took the time to write this review because the staff was very, very unpleasant. I've stayed in several other hostels around the world and even if some have their issues, the attention from the staff is usually great. This was the exception. The guy at reception when we checked in acted like we were bothering him. He didn’t smile, he kept ignoring us to pay attention to other things going on around him, and more importantly he didn’t explain anything about the facilities: where’s the kitchen? Are there other common areas? Is there Wi-Fi? Are there any activities planned in the hostel? Any recommendations in the area? Do you guys need a towel? Something. I don’t need a full tour of the place, but at least be a bit more pleasant with the guests. Later, I asked another staff member about the Wi-Fi and he didn’t even say a word. He just looked at me, turned around, and tapped a Wi-Fi sign that was around the corner. Finally, I asked for a towel at reception and the staff member (the same one I asked about the Wi-Fi) kept getting distracted, and the receptionist had to repeat about five times that he should go get me a towel.

• Sophie (7/5): Clean room and well located, but you may not want to cook or eat in the kitchen. - Well located, clean room, comfortable bed Kitchen was not pleasant because people cooked and left messes of dirty dishes and clogged sinks strainers. The staff was trying to keep up, but was not successful. Also, our room was really tiny and there wasn’t much room to put two suitcases or hang things. It was also quite noisy when people came back from going out at three in the morning. We could hear them talking and playing music.

Pas assez d'espace à côté du lit pour circuler. Il serait aussi intéressant d'avoir des accroches au mur car il n'y avait rien.

The capsule bed was great, you even have space to get changed and store your belongings (plus the locker). The mattress was perfect. No noise from outside, I had amazing nights. The tour company they promote "Prisma Travel" seems fake, I didn't find any reviews online, so I ended up booking a tour to Rosario island and the actual company was "Global expedition" which has a very low rating and I did not enjoy the tour. I also found it quite expensive renting a towel for 15k

• Loovaale (8/5): Gutes Hostel an super Lage - Super Lage, Sicherheitspersonal. WLan ohne Probleme. Betten waren gross und bequem und man hatte Handtücher im Zimmer. Klimaanlage war gut und man hatte Schliessfächer. Grosses Bad. Bequeme Betten. Zum Teil war etwas laut aber man konnte ruhig schlafen. Es gab kein TV, was am Abend manchmal cool gewesen wäre. Die Behälter im Bad für Shampoo, Seife usw. haben nicht gut funktioniert, es war etwas unpraktisch. Die Decken hätten etwas grösser sein können. Es hat kein Lift (der Wachmann hat uns jedoch geholfen). Abstellfläche im Bad und Zimmer wär cool gewesen.

• Joao (3/5): - Too noisy. I booked for 2 nights. First night I was in a room with a window for the street, almost did not sleep because of the street noise, the hole day and night. Then I asked for another room, quiet and they change me to a room next to the living room, people came in all night and sit there and make noise. I was even insulted at 1h00 AM because 10 people were talking loud with each other and did not respect the people sleeping.

• JVTECCHIO (10/5): Parece até um hotel - Gostei muito do estilo do hostel. Igual a um hotel com vários andares e espaçoso. A cozinha é muito bem equipada e novinha. Ar condicionado em todos os quartos (e nas áreas comuns) e sempre ficam ligados. As camas tem tomadas, luz e locker próprios. Não tem café da manhã. Chuveiro não tem água quente. O colaborador que me recepcionou me colocou num quarto com 8 camas ao invés de 6 como havia reservado. Mas, prontamente, ele se dispôs a resolver o mal entendido.

La cuisine est plutôt bien pensée. Beaucoup de plaques de cuisson mais il manque beaucoup de casseroles vaisselle au vu du nombre de personnes dans l’hostel. Nous avons dormi en dortoir. Beaucoup de jeunes qui font la fête et rentrent sortent tout au long de la nuit. Plus trop de notre âge 🙃

• Yani (9/5): 非常不错，值得入住的一家旅馆。 - 地理位置非常好，从机场坐T102公交车，再走几分钟就到旅馆了。到老城区不行只需要几分钟。 从旅馆走到T102车站，再换其他车次，就可以到卡塔赫纳的汽车总站了。 旅馆的公共区域非常大，还有一个阳台，早晚在阳台坐坐非常舒服。 工作人员也很热情。 希望卫生间可以加几个挂钩或者隔板，方便放置洗漱用品。

La limpieza general estaba bien, aunque se recomienda revisar detrás de las mesitas de noche. Me gusto que la cocina compartida tiene neveras para cada piso, lo que hace mas fácil identificar tus cosas. La habitación es básica, la cama muy confortable. El baño compartido le hacia falta jabón de manos, y no le servían los frascos que ofrece con schampoo, etc. En la cocina compartida se recomienda actualizar las ollas y tener mas disponibles, cuando hay diferentes personas cocinando

Los espacios comunes y las habitaciones siempre estaban impecables, la cocina muy bien equipada y organizada. Lo mejor fue el servicio al cliente: todos súper amables y siempre dispuestos a ayudar.
