• Michelle (9/5): Beautiful Apartment, excellent location - The location was fantastic. Access to a TV and Netflix ( a treat for me). A lovely apartment, well- equipped and very comfortable. A home away from home. I wouldn't change anything. It was absolutely super.

• Vanessa (7/5): Great location, enjoyed out stay. - Great location. The apartment is modern and tidy, featuring nice furniture and finishes. We encountered some issues accessing the building, and we appreciated the host's assistance in coming to help us get into both the building and the apartment. The address is 7 Upper Ports Wood Road, which differs from what is listed on the website. The name on the building is not the same as the apartment name, which was a bit confusing. We faced challenges accessing the building upon arrival, and the host had to come over to assist us. The apartment is quite small but comfortable.

• R (7/5): Fine, after horrible problems en route. - Well furnished and well equipped. Quiet location. The real problem was getting access to the property which was required video identification, entry code and keybox code (I could not say this in the box above). I had added the 3 days in Cape Town to the end of an organised tour of the Western Cape. I only learned that I would need to provide a scan or photo of my passport, for understandable security reasons, after I left the UK. I managed to take such a photo in South Africa, but I could not send it to the apartment managers as we were communicating by email via Booking.com which transmitted the text of my messages but not the photo attached. I asked the managers to communicate directly by text or email, without reply and I could not get an answer by telephone. I finally got a message on WhatsApp while I was travelling to the address and I was able to send the photo. We eventually had a video call to sort things out when I found that I had been given the wrong number in Upper Portswood Street (it is really 7 not 9). The whole business was very stressful. Booking.com needs to improve its service providing communications between guest and host!

• Juliette (3/5): Would not recommend - The apartment was clean and modern Check out time on Booking.com states 11am, we received a text the day before check out advising it was 10am. We advised them that we had booked and arranged to collect a car on the basis of 11am check out and would not be able to check out any earlier. When we arrived back at the apartment at 10.40am to finalise packing and remove our bags there was already someone in the apartment cleaning it without our permission or knowledge and with all our personal belongings still there. Its was extremely disappointing to not have been made aware of this especially when check out on booking.com is noted as 11am and we had sent a screenshot showing this. As well as this the WiFi was very unreliable it would often not be working even after re starting the router, the hairdryer wasn't working and the curtains in the bedroom kept practically no light out even though there is an adjoining building that has a light on all night. I would not stay here again or recommend it.
• Gary (1/5): Address is incorrect - classic bait and switch - be careful before booking - There wasn't much to like BEWARE: the property is not on Portswood Road but is 500m (1500') away on Upper Portswood. It's not right next to the V&A Waterfront but about 4 blocks away across a very busy street. The booking.com listing is blatantly incorrect and when questioned, the property manager's response was that the correct address was sent 24 hours before check-in. Typical bait and switch. I booked the property for my Mum (who is in her 70s as it was supposed to be close to the waterfront) and would not have booked it if the correct address had been shown. Customer Service was not any help as they agreed with the manager that it was OK to send the correct address 24 hours before check-in. All-in-all a disappointing. And the kitchen lacked the basics.
• Wiebe (4/5): Disappointing - Safe parking The bed was extremely uncomfortable, there is a lot of light that comes into the room at night from the surrounding buildings
• Limalia (4/5): Disappointed with the service. - Convenient location. Safe access. Gate remote was supposed to be fixed but no response. Linen and dish cloth was smelling. Toilet wasn't clean. For a 6 night stay only one toilet paper given. Lights prepaid was supposed to be recharged but did not happen.
