Small but nice room, with A/C. Clean and helpful owners. Massage prices were very high and it was pouring so wi-fi for hours did not work.

• Linn (10/5): Incredible, such a good price for a clean and welcoming accommodation - Everything!! It was definitely one of the cleanest rooms and for such an affordable price. Walking distance to the main road. The room exceeded my expectations and the host was so sweet, she greeted me with a coconut upon my arrival. She also made me breakfast and warmed my leftovers for me. Such a kind and sweet soul. They also organize a safari for a decent price. I will definitely come back and I strongly recommend this place. -

• Eva (8/5): - Das große Zimmer war ok, das andere war ohne a/c, nur mit kaltem Wasser und sehr hellhörig (laute Musik). Der junge Fahrer auf der Safari hat gute Arbeit geleistet. Die Zimmer sind billig, Geld wird vor allem mit den Dienstleistungen verdient: Der Transport von Ella war teurer als vergleichbare Strecken, obwohl es statt des bestellten Vans nur ein Minivan war, der hinten für 3 Personen sehr eng ist. Die Unterkunft bietet auch ein sehr einfaches Abendessen an. Das ist bequem, wenn man kein eigenes Fahrzeug hat, aber im Ort isst man besser und günstiger.
• Judith (10/5): A gem of a place in - Wow - what a wonderful place! Can't recommend more highly. We were two hungry, hot cyclists arriving very tired. The owner - lovely Madu - is so kind, helpful and always cheerful. The place is beautifully designed with plants everywhere and all kept neat and tidy. Madu made a fabulous dinner for us (we're both vegetarian as were two other guests there - not a problem for Madu at all), arranged a safari and was up early to make breakfast when we left. An absolute gem of a place ticked away from the main road so peaceful and quiet. Absolutely nothing.

Only the provided safari is 20.000Rs in the morning and 25.000 in the afternoon, which we were a bit in a rush to book, only to realise later that that’s quite on the steeper side. However, the experience was nice, the safari was within all ethical limits and the breakfast was very tasty, so really no complaints.

L'host è stata gentilissima e disponibile, ci ha preparato la cena (non inclusa nel prezzo dell'appartamento) anche arrivando tardi la sera. Consigliatissimo prenotare con loro il safari a Udawalawe: abbiamo condiviso una jeep con altri ospiti della struttura, per un safari di mezza giornata la mattina (con colazione inclusa fornita dalla struttura, abbondantissima è deliziosa) è una stata un'esperienza meravigliosa, la nostra guida formidabile.

• Jenna (1/5): - That woman ruined our travel destination for us. The woman welcomed us to the hotel very warmly, but when we told them we weren't going on safari, they increased the price of our room. Their safari prices are really high. They charged 24,000 rupees for one person. They asked for 48,000 rupees for the two of us to take them on the safari. That was a very high price and we couldn't afford it. This woman actually treated us like an ATM machine. She charged us over ten thousand rupees in our room because we said we couldn't go on safari. Only book that hotel if you really have a lot of money. If you have a modest amount of money, don't go to that hotel. We visited Sri Lanka for two weeks. This is the most unfortunate hotel we have ever stayed in. Very bad people. I strongly reject this hotel.

The food was absolutely delicious, both at the hotel and during the safari organized by the hosts. The safari itself was perfectly arranged and an unforgettable experience. L’hôte est particulièrement adorable et l’établissement propose de nombreux services très intéressants : restauration, blanchisserie, un safari avec le meilleur guide du parc, et même la possibilité de s’offrir un petit massage. La chambre est très agréable, et la salle de bain offre une magnifique douche à l’italienne. L’endroit est extrêmement reposant, et les alentours valent vraiment le détour. Je recommande cet établissement les yeux fermés. Rien, l’établissement est vraiment incroyable il n’y a rien à dire.

• Brook (10/5): Perfect - Firstly, I would like to compliment the couple who will host you. Krishantha will be around majority of the time throughout your stay and will ensure you are having a pleasant stay. Her breakfasts are generous and delicious. They were really wonderful to us and another who had been scammed before arriving at their gate late in the day, desperate for a room. They welcomed us warmly and set up the rooms for us within 5 minutes. The rooms were spacious, very clean and nicely designed. We booked a safari with them and they offered us an incredible deal as they have their own jeep. Although we had a mix up of communication between us and them in regards to the safari (and we were very on edge after nearly being scammed twice the previous day) but all was peacefully resolved. I fully recommend their safari - this is not one of those reviews that I had to do, it is genuine. Our safari was incredible. As it was a slower pace than Yala (which I did not enjoy), we actually got to see so much wildlife! Our driver/guide was very informative and we learned so much from him. He made sure to stop whenever we saw something, instead of darting off to desperately find a single elephant being surrounded by a million trucks. It was thoroughly enjoyable and a real highlight of my trip. The door needs a curtain I think. Our room had glass at the top so you could see through. No one walks towards that section of the garden and you are up some steps so it’s not too bad but the light does come through in the morning too.

Only downside was that the hot water wasn't working (also after turning on the heater), but it was very hot outside so not a problem for us.
