• Bee (6/5): Convenient location and stunning decoration unfortunately spoiled by lack of sound-proofing and unusable outdoor space. - The property was beautifully furnished inside and the place was clean and comfortable. The creaking noises from the upstairs apartment floor were really loud and noise transfer generally was bad (we could hear their dinner party conversations clearly!). The outside space was very tired and dirty and disappointing as we would have liked to be able to sit there as the property has so little natural daylight. No milk left for tea/coffee. Flickering LED lights above the bed were also an issue.

• Michelle (8/5): Had a lovely short stay, the location was fabulous and room spacious and very comfortable! - Location was great, walking distance to all shops, restaurants, pub and the beach. Room was spacious and comfortable, decorated beautifully and bed very comfortable to sleep in. Bathroom was fabulous with a large shower and room to move Parking was sometimes difficult as super busy location, room didn't have the best ventilation or natural light (esp for bathroom), no beach towels or a second set of bath towels. Laundry also would have benefited with a dryer.

Proximity to beach, transport etc was brilliant, unit was very spacious and clean. Tracy was extremely helpful, responding to our needs quickly and efficiently. Thank you! Not a didn’t like but a consideration for us… the steep steps and the parking situation were ‘tricky’ elements.
• Anthony (9/5): We enjoyed our stay of 2 weeks & am happy to recommend to others with the afore mentioned points for consideration - Spacious, nicely furnished,air con, comfy beds. Fully kitted out with utensils, plates etc. Friendly welcoming hosts on site. Easy location to Coogee shops, bars & beach etc. There are a lot of steps up narrow external stair way difficult to negotiate with larger suitcases. So you need to be fairly fit & agile to stay here. Parking in Coogee is a nightmare & as no parking on site you need to consider this if arriving by car as you can end up parking several streets away. A fair bit of road noise intrudes at most hours of day & into the night.

• Kelly (7/5): Great location. Steps to apartment were challenging for an elderly man - The location was fantastic. The unit was a good size. Beds were comfortable. 40 steps up to apartment. We had our elderly father who struggled with the steps. It was noisy. Towels were really scratchy.

The property description and pictures are a very true representation and do not do it justice, Tracy definitely has an eye for interiors, the bed was super comfy. • Brenda (10/5): A fabulous experience in Coogee. If you can afford it then book this property. - The decor and attention to detail are second to none. We love this apartment and the hosts were excellent. They helped get our luggage up and down the numerous outdoor steps and were quick to respond to any query. Tracy let us know that there was a dog, Vuk, at the property that they like to introduce to guests. I might not have booked if I’d known there was a German Shepherd on the premises. That would have been a mistake as he was no problem. He was taken inside when necessary. (I’m still scared of dogs!)

Check in was smooth and our host kindly let us store our bags after check out. This is a basement studio, and unfortunately whenever anyone moves around in the floor above, there is a lot of very loud creaking. Recommend ear plugs.

The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you might need. The beds were super comfortable. Tracy and Deyan are lovely people and wonderful hosts. We were sorry to leave Kookaburra Beach House and would have no hesitation in returning or recommending to others. There is nothing to not like. It’s perfect !

Flickering lights at night due to appliance overload from whole building. Like 2 tiny windows, dugout under house, dungeon, damp smells...never again. Prior to arrival, charged an extra $150 cleaning, when I'm very tidy; queried this but given no response.
• Anonymous (8/5): wonderful welcoming apartment well connected to the city and beach - it’s a gorgeous space and beautifully decorated (very eclectic and colourful style). it has everything you need and some very thoughtful touches to make it feel nice and homey. great location would definitely recommend! the bed in particular was so comfy and vook the dog was an angel! we loved our stay the only recommendation would be that because of the lack of natural light and extractor fan towels/clothes were difficult to dry - a heated drying rack would be a great addition!

The only minor downsides were not being able to get the terrestrial TV to work (may have been user error) and a few little spiders but that's to be expected in an older building in 'straya and didn't bother me.

We felt very much at home as we rented the property for just under 3 weeks. They supplied countless bathroom and beach towels and washing supplies, which I didn’t expect, so that was very kind. You are on the main Coogee bay road, so everything is on your doorstep. Perfect.

• Gary (10/5): Kookaburra Down Under was absolutley perfect in every way. - The Kookaburra Down Under is a very special place. Tracey, the host, is wonderful. She was very keen to make sure we were comfortable and to make sure we were settled in. The space is exceptional, with a very tranquil feel about the way the areas are decorated. Jen wanted to take the bathroom home! :-) We were there to prepare for a national exam, and the Kookaburra Down Under provided Jen with exactly what she needed to prep for such an important moment. The closeness of many quality cafes, shops & restaurants, meant we didn't need to drive to get food and relax. And the Beach at the end of the street, meant that a few minutes walk down the road, and we could find ourselves enjoying an awesome sunrise or an amazing sunset. You will not be disappointed in anyway if you choose this accommodation, a beautiful space with walking distance to everything!
