Guest Reviews
- Sheila (9/5): Very happy with experience. Will stay again should visit to area repeat. - Freshly decorated. Bright airy. Bed was super comfy, linen and towels superb. Good parking.
All staff I interacted very friendly and helpful
Breakfast very good Insufficient signage to navigate about the place. Old heritage building lots of doors and corridors so working out where you’re going is a challenge.
None of the loo seats (in the room and public facilities) seemed to fit or stay in position
- Jocelyn (8/5): Wonderful - stress free - amazing staff 🩷 - I loved Wendy - she dealt efficiently with things. I loved my room x Thank you Wendy 🩷 Coffee machine delivered lukewarm coffee - and cleaning wasn’t great - a little hit and miss - but wouldn’t put me off staying again x
- Jason Sean (5/5): Indian Charity Ball? - Location is not completely maintained The electrics to the heater in the bathroom were open and exposed. The heater itself was so hot I burned my back as I stepped out the shower/bath.
The spiders continued to flow as I slept.
The parking went from non vacant to over flowed.
The food facilities are non existent.
Paint doesn’t usually peel off the wall. You don’t usually wake in the middle of the night from the halocaust.!!!!
- John (9/5): -
- Zoe (8/5): -
- Usman (1/5): -
- Chris (9/5): -
- Usman (1/5): Absolutely horrible - The location The staff rude breakfast cold room smells like a drain pipe and dirty sheets
- Beryl (5/5): - Lovely grounds although the lake had a lot of rubbish in it.
Old chair etc Wildlufe
- Scott (10/5): -
- Long (3/5): -
- Jason Sean (10/5): Warbrook House - Location, rooms, parking, gardens and bar.
- Andrew (6/5): Decent price and lovely place, staff weren’t great though - Beautiful place to stay and wonder round the grounds. Good price for what you get It took 20 minutes to get into our room even though we were told someone would be waiting there with a key
- Frisk (6/5): -
- Izabela (6/5): Great location. Dog friendly. - Gorgeous grounds. Cheap and dog friendly. This please needs love. It’s dated. The drinks were sadly expensive - London prices. The food was okay.
- Chessman (4/5): - The surroundings are stunning. The rooms especially the beds are small, plastic protector, no air con, small fan.we were on the top floor it was awful, sun all day,not good at all for breathing issues.
Offered water however it was warm.
Moved room on the 2nd night it was bigger but still super hot.
Housekeeping walked straight in no knocking.
Dining room the buffet area was full of ants. I can appreciate it's likely because if the venue but could easily be treated more so im food area.
Outside bar the furniture is old rattan and broken only one cushion for all.
Decor old it needs a refurbished, the shower was a dribble.
We almost came home, carpets stained.
Needs a food scrub!
Staff accommodating yo our request to move room manager friendly, bar staff need some oomph wr waited ages as he walked past 3 rules before serving.
Outside venue stunning as I say but basic they've tried to make a beautiful house modern but can see they have cut corners
- Nicky (7/5): -
- Denise (9/5): Staff extremely helpful - Could have been more choice for vegetarian
- Tracey (10/5): -
- Richa (7/5): It was decent but could’ve been smoother - It’s a lovely space and great for those with dogs It needed a bit of refurbishing and no AC
- VERNON (7/5): - Most of all the building and grounds as I remember it well as a school child living close by. Breakfast Bun Fight!! Most disorganised, lack of staff, lack of seating unfortunately, lack of food. Below the standard.
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Paul (5/5): Disappointing start put me in a mood left at 7:30 the next day - Nice grounds £20 stealth payment for my dog on arrival. Should be clear that they do charge for dogs and how much. States on policy charges may apply not will an apply they tell you £20 for a cot so why hide the fact of what they charge for a dog. When you arrive you aren’t just going to leave so they could charge what they like.
No towels in my room had to ask for them, The grange where I stayed was away from the main block but they must’ve have a store there because staff were moving stuff around until gone eleven getting ready for a wedding the next day. So didn’t get the rest I wanted after a long drive.
Only real plus was the grounds were very nice, staff in the bar and reception were nice not their fault the hotel doesn’t clear pricing on dogs.
- Nigel (8/5): - Staff were very helpful especially with us taking the dogs ,very nice breakfast.
- Christina (9/5): Beautiful - Beautiful location, beautiful room. Good breakfast, great staff We visited over the bank holiday weekend, it was very hot, but the staff were amazing, made the room as cool as possible while we were out, supplied fan, sheets and complimentary bottled water.
They couldn't have done anything more. We aim.to visit again.
- Anna (10/5): We loved our stay - Beautiful The house is gorgeous
- Gary (10/5): Relaxing and enjoyable - Very comfortable lovely area Nothing
- Adrianna (10/5): Lovely stay! - Lovely location, fantastic breakfast Beer options at the bar limited, only one tap working
- paul (9/5): - Easy check in All was good
- Keith (9/5): - The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and clean, the grounds were amazing Our room was in the grange which was well away from the main house, as there were not many people there i would have thought it better to have everythi g under the one roof instead of having to travel between your room and the bar/ restaurant and then again in the morning also we asked for a double room and were given 2 singles, other than that we had a throughly wonderful stay
- Binita (10/5): -
- Lucy-Anne (8/5): Lovely hotel, excellent breakfast! - The staff were all friendly and the room was nicely decorated and had all amenities. Breakfast was great value! There wasn't any signage to find our room in the corridors. We also asked for a second fan as there was a message in our room about asking for extra as it was very hot but was told it was one per room. One member of staff kindly looked for one.
- MICHELLE (9/5): -
- Miles (9/5): Lovely stay to celebrate 10 years since we got married there and it’s still a lovely place. - Breakfast was good and room was lovely. Seating outside was dated and not very comfortable.
- Rushy75 (5/5): Great location. Poor hotel/room. - Not a lot Poor bed. No windows. No where to hang anything. Luke warm shower water.
- Martina (9/5): Very pleasant experience, ideal location for an event we were at in beautiful English countryside - Beautiful old period house and gorgeous grounds Nothing
- catherine (8/5): Beautiful building. -
- Hugh (9/5): -
- Rushy75 (6/5): Ok hotel for a one night stay - Great location for a wedding attending locally No soap / shower gel
Small single bed
The grange needs updating
- Rushy75 (1/5): - Nothing Booked months ago for my sister in law. Who was attending my wedding. Turned up and the receptionist cannot find the booking. He was rude and aggressive. Never apologised. They gave her the wrong room. Too small. Switch them to the grange. But not a single bed for a 6 year. This attending about 10pm. Completely shambles. I will be putting in a formal complaint soon.
- Peter (8/5): Warbrook House - The grounds and location were lovely. Very interesting old Georgian architecture too. Didn't have fresh available water after breakfast. The house seemed to be a little empty of areas to relax in like a lounge area.
- Rushy75 (8/5): - Great location as we were attending a wedding. The grange building needs some updating.
- Kane (10/5): -
- Bradley (8/5): Pleasant stay and good value for money. - Nice and peaceful. Good breakfast. Room had good facilities Bathroom could have been slightly cleaner. Loud buzzing noise at night in room.
- Lauren (1/5): Disappointed - The bed was comfy Too hot in the rooms, heating wouldn't turn off.
Cold showers in the morning.
Rude staff especially bar staff.
Money is spent on the exterior but not the inside.
Was told I would get a partial refund but now no response.
- James (7/5): Great stay for the price, but needs some TLC. - Great location and great price. Felt quite run down and outdated in many ways.
- Ian (9/5): Lovely stay. - Beautiful venue
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Helen (10/5): Enjoyed it. Came down towards the end of breakfast time on the Sunday so it was a bit sparse, but ok. - Great one night stop over. Lovely building and grounds
- Ian (6/5): Good rooms great food - Bar breakfast and dinner Kids running including in restaurant when having dinner.
- Basak (8/5): -
- Tony Wheeler (6/5): good 3-star standards, looks good outside, very ordinary inside. - location, I liked the ducks in the pond kind of drab, ordinary, the entrance area and corridors to the rooms are a complete shambles
- emma (9/5): I’d definitely come back - Staff, room, level of service , building and grounds The Spotify adverts as part of the music piped into the dining room .
Breakfast was in 3 separate locations - coffe 1 place , food another , juice etc another .
- Whittemore (2/5): Avoid - Not a lot Accommodation offered- dirty , unsafe as doors didn't lock, disabled facilities although not required. Offered a change but still door didn't lock, room excessively hot, toilet seat broken, room not cleaned as housekeeping not offered, WiFi/internet intermittent ( password changed daily and internet often withdrawn)and excessive noise from events
- Dawn (9/5): Relaxing relaxing atmosphere with good food - Beautiful House and surroundings The water temperature in the shower was only tepid apparently the hotel knew and said “it’s an old building what do you expect”
- Philip (5/5): The hotel has lovely grounds but the hotel itself needs updating - Not a lot
We wouldn’t return Firstly we had a job to open the door.
The shower was only lukewarm.
The breakfast was very spread out and not great so we didn’t go on the second day.
- Alicia (4/5): - Not much The Grange accomodation were below par and disappointing a
- White (4/5): -
- Jennifer (4/5): -
- Jason Sean (9/5): Warbrook Heritage Hotel - Stayed before rooms are well nice, en-suite bathroom in every room, TV, huge bed, Tea and coffee freshly replenished each morning.
Food menu is available on site.
The site offers stunning wild life, (Sometimes the wild dear are seen on the grounds). A crisp, clean morning and on site car park. Security, lock only doors.
Stay in the mansion it’s the best!
- Katie (6/5): - Staff were helpful
- Dristikhap (8/5): - Lovely area Really small rooms. Was there for the wedding and the peony room didn't even have a washroom! Had to go across the hall to get to the communal washroom!
- Elzbieta (5/5): -
- John (6/5): For work so nothing to write home about - Location Very basic
- strudy (8/5): - Staff really nice and great looking place, food was good but not sure why we had to wait till 8.00 as no one in the restraunt the bed was dreadful, when you sit on it your ass hit the base and in the night the springs just creeked every time you moved. did not sleep well
- Frank (7/5): Goed genoeg voor 1 nacht - Het prachtige park rondom en de rust. Hadden kamer in bijgebouw. Het geheel straalt vergane glorie uit. Moet nodig opgeknapt.
- Valerie (5/5): Tired and neglected - Good reception staff. Large room, comfortable bed although the room temperature was higher than I'm used to Overall the hotel and grounds are neglected, in need of repair and bear no resemblance to the online photos
- William (2/5): Shocking - Coffee machine not working in morning food was cold rap music in dinner hall at night I work in events produce music pay for a weekend away without music in the restaurant terrible service from staff don’t even stay handed in keys day early went home waste of time and money dust on top of wardrobe dirty bathroom horrible place hear everyone above you no sleep stairs very loud too Everything lovely location tho bad team running it
- Joanne (9/5): -
- Debbie (8/5): Short break - The grounds and the room were lovely. Location was good. The menu for lunch and dinner were the same and not very varied
- andrew (5/5): OK - 27 towels in my room no TV remote control !
- Claire (9/5): - Lovely grounds to walk around and super breakfast
- David (3/5): Lovely house poorly managed - The house gardens The room was really hot with the heating off. The ventilation in the bathroom didn't work. They need air conditioning in that room. I have been 3 times to this hotel. They had 2 weddings going in the same day. They should not have any other guests in the house while there is a wedding because it's horribly noisy
- JejÄŤiÄŤ (10/5): -
- mike (8/5): - De locatie, van de weg af prima parkeren voor onze motoren Het ontbijt is goed, maar er had qua beleg wel wat meer gemogen
- Anthony (5/5): -
- Elijah (7/5): -
- Katherine (10/5): -
- Shamsa (5/5): -
- Lorraine (8/5): We had shania as our waiter she was brilliant in every way .definitely would come back as she made our stay comfortable - The grounds Service
- Armitage-White (3/5): It’s good if you have to stay over in the area for a night for travel or something for a decent price (ish), but if you - Very pretty exterior and land. Dirty rooms, lock was broken to the room so couldn’t lock properly when leaving the room, particular member of bar staff seemed very clueless in what they were doing, however still bossed about another member of staff - unacceptable.
- Elizabeth (3/5): -
- Zahid (10/5): -
- James (9/5): I'll be back! - |Excellent breakfast, very welcoming staff. Beautiful grounds and very welcoming staff.
- caroline (7/5): Easy! - Professional team experienced in dealing with people and groups - efficient check-in and information. Room was in completely different part of the estate - bit frustrating when you’ve unloaded your car and walked to reception!
- Edward (8/5): - Cleanliness Breakfast was OK
- anthony (7/5): -
- Laura (10/5): Brilliant hotel Rohan was amazing xxxxxxx - History and comfort Bit out the way of shops hard to find
- Conny (8/5): Tolles Anwesen, preisleistung gut, typisch englisches Frühstück - Traumlage, Zimmer sehr schön Leider in einem Nebengebäude untergebracht
- Mitchell (8/5): -
- Michael (4/5): Only use if you have no other options - Nothing of significance, generally disappointing. Staff all seem inconvenienced by your presence. Examples;
1. Check in the administrator could barely crack a smile and gave vague instructions on where to go to find room.
2. Dinner, slow service, food average and zero knowledge of drinks they serve. Asked for IPA and was given larger in an IPA glass…
3. Paying for dinner, impossible to get anyone’s attention.
4. Breakfast, no tables clear. Asked staff to clear a table where they flippantly told me “what do you mean, there are loads of spare tables just find one and sit on it” I directed them to the room where they said “oh there are no clean tables” no apology made. Then, she huffed and puffed as she half heartily cleared the table. Asked for a flat white “no coffee machine, coffee in there” was the blunt response I had.
5. Checking out, didn’t ask how stay was, just took key and barely looked up.
Then as for the hotel;
- rooms were cold upon entry
- rooms were difficult to find
- building works making it impossible to navigate in the pitch black where to park
- towels had a smokey/damp smell to them
- bed was uncomfortable
- No lighting on road from outbuildings I was staying in and long walk so if raining this would be a miserable trudge back to room.
- breakfast very average and flies, wasps buzzing around food
- generally in a state of disrepair
- Carolina (7/5): -
- chris (8/5): A nice stay in a lovely hotel - The staff were helpful, the room lean and quiet and the food good. Its a good hotel if you're exploring the area. Lovely walking around the grounds. There was a wedding on so the staff were a bit swamped.
- Stephanie (10/5): -
- Jennifer (3/5): Staff were great, nice breakfast, but I shall not stay there again. - Beautiful setting. Room door handle wouldn’t lock, hot water tap in the shower wouldn’t come on,workmen making a lot of noise at 12.30am,outside my bedroom window.
- Jenkins (9/5): - Excellent place to stop over for work.
Quiet, good food, Excellent staff
- Joseph (3/5): -
- John (7/5): Fair for the price of my stay - Location Food was limited & my chicken burger was really tough
- Barry (8/5): - Lovely location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast Coffee machine poor. Need a pot of tea on the table with breakfast.
- abca932035cd7344620c6e6f75c2c415 (8/5): Clean, comfortable, and well maintained. - Building and grounds are well kept, water was hot, room was quiet and bed comfortable. The layout is a little confusing but this is to be expected with old properties.
