Guest Reviews
- Sizwe (1/5): Couldn’t even sleep, the place is just a mess - Nothing From what I saw online and what I actually saw two different things and that was so disappointing. There’s was hair all over the shower not properly cleaned, bad smell, you can literally hear people won the other rooms
- Cleopatra (8/5): Was just fine - Bathroom light was not working
- Bonolo (8/5): I really enyoyed my stay…i think they should really invest in cleaning their kitchen. The kitchen hygiene was really bad - The rooms were really nice
- Kearabetswe (1/5): Embarrassing experience - Nothing The place looks like a brothel, with loud noises and dirty floors and beds. The sheets were so dirty that I had to ask for them to be changed when we checked in. The beds a balanced with bricks. At midnight you hear screams and people banging on doors yoh, I hardly slept. There are Mattresses and broken shelves on passages. The place doesn't deserve to be called a guesthouse.
- Matlou (3/5): - Staff is very friendly and helpful The entire room is not what we expected from the booking
The noise in the rooms were too much
The quality of the bed is not on
- Sedzani (8/5): - Very comfortable and clean good service from the the staff The were people making lot of noise in middle of the night like the were partying
- Visagie (1/5): - The receptionist was friendly and accommodating
The room was clean but toilet light did not work The noise levels are loud
It was set up like a brothel kind of vibe
- Naheng (7/5): -
- Reizah (6/5): -
- Cyril (1/5): - Located next to the start of Johnson crane marathon Blanket was dirty and lot of mosquito
- Piet (1/5): -
- Nhlanhla (4/5): Fair stay, just noisy and load shedding whole time - Location is perfect Very noisy,
- Oabile (1/5): Never staying there again and I need my refund - Absolutely nothing, the guys by reception will attend to you holding a bottle of beer and cigarettes Everything, they had no power, arrived mid afternoon and was told power will be back it rained horribly slept without bathing because the water was cold. I was there for a marathon went running without bathing and the staff had a party all night and fought horribly until we left for running at around 0430 leaving them still fighting. I have never been this disappointed in my life.
I checked out on Sunday because I could stay another night in that dark place and after the horrible fight that went on all night. Most runners stay there and I even stayed there last year but this year everyone was not impressed at all.
- Mvumvu (1/5): I requested them to change the linen but due to poor conditions of their bad I couldn't sleep. I had - I found nothing to my liking. The receptionist assured me he would speak to the manager about refunding my payment, as I couldn't even stay for 30 minutes in that place. Truth be told, the place is not as it appears in the advertisements.
From the reception area to the rooms, I found it very disappointing. The yard is extremely dirty, and the reception area is in poor condition. The rooms contain unattractive pillows with stains, and the beds look like they are 30 years old- very bad , outdated blankets. The linens were terrible and also stained. the rooms have an unpleasant odor and are very dusty.
- Hunadi (1/5): - Nothing The location of this venue is bad. Its in the CBD and next to venue there is a place selling alcohol. The place doesn't have adequate parking and has no backup power. It was just a mess, I had to find another accommodation. Didn't feel safe at all
- Mazi (8/5): - Location was very good. The rooms were clean, there were all basic necessities The noise. I had to get out of bed at 02H30am to go and call into order those who were making noise. To my shock, it was not the guests but the gentlemen who works I the property & thier girlfriends. I was so angry at them and told them they are supposed to make sure there is order in the facility and yet they are the ones causing chaos. Totally unacceptable behavior. I will not be booking that place again because of the unacceptable behavior of those two employees. They have no regard for guests.
- Siyabonga (1/5): - Nothing ... 1. No electricity and the back generator isn't working.
2. Very dodgy people there, I suspect it is owned by Nigerians.
3. People are walking around with open bottles of beers, including employees of the establishment.
4. Very noisy ...and outside I saw "sisters doing business ".
5. The place must be closed down...I did not check in, I had to cancel the booking, very dodgy ....hayi ngeke.
- Yuza (1/5): - The location was great as it was next to Willomore Stadium as i was going for Johnson Crane Marathon. The room was smelling very bad like someone was doing tlof tlof. But am not suprise as at the receiption they have prices for 1hoour=R100 and etc. The Seurity and Receptionist who was working night shift on the 25th January 2026 they were making noise from 19h00 until early at 03h30. Lastly we didnt have electricity when we check in until when we check out. No back up for ladshedding. I will not book there for BANC Marathon in April 2026. Booking.Com i wonder how this thing is on your APP.
- BOITUMELO (2/5): Not comfortable - Nothing Noise through out the night never slept because of the Noise. The sheet, the bad not on good condition. No backup generator. We didnt havr electricity and no hot water.
- Cebisile (3/5): -
- Saziso (10/5): I had the most amazing stay, will definitely be a regular there -
- Maboka (5/5): -
- Ligudu (2/5): - The place looks decent until you walk in. I had booked the place for my daughter and the receptionist made her feel uncomfortable with his remarks about coming back later. Outside the rooms people were seating and drinking which made the place disorderly. The sheets where dirty and blanket had holes which i reported via this platform and no one changed them. She had to put plastics on the bed to avoid the dirty bedding and can provide pictures of this. Tried to call the number on the platform but no one picks up.
- Paballo (3/5): Unpleasant stay - Nothing. There’s nothing I liked The place is no noisy, the staff were also making noise. We were woken up at 6am by the noise, one of the rooms didn’t have LED lights like the pictures. Their phone was always on voicemail. There’s no order at this place, we were so disappointed. I got deceived by their reviews, unfortunately our stay was very unpleasant.
- banele (10/5): -
- Karabo (1/5): -
- Steven (1/5): -

- Gugu (6/5): - The room itself was very clean tho the closet/ wardrobe The was somebody's clothes in it a bit dissapointing
Having an aircorn it was a real bonus The WI-Fe not working and TV as well not working..they need to consider to put Bar fridge and complimentary of coffee n sugar and bath soap n shower gels n etc
- Xivono (5/5): -
- Motaung (1/5): Ruined my Leisure - The room was clean 1. Waiting for more than an hour at the reception with the unfriendly staff receptionist.

- Paciano (1/5): -
- Sebose (4/5): -
- Phumzile (1/5): -
- Itumeleng (7/5): Benoni Experience - I really like the passage balcony and LED ecstatic within the room I didn't like how the shower water of the bathroom splashed onto the tile where I'm supposed to step when done
- Cebo (7/5): - Late checking out time, near the club so no need to go very far when you want to have fun, good for people that are there for entertainment. Parking is limited
- Ludwick Mologadi Matomo John (1/5): A Complete No No👎 - Nothing There's a bad stench in the room. When you take a shower water spills from the showers room, over to the passage. The bar is there but not functioning. No enough parking space. There'sonlyonestinking, unwashed, dirtyblanketintheroom. No any other linen. To get towels you must ask first. Total mess...
- hoque (1/5): - Nothings ,too noisy, can't sleep night ,bed was terrible It's not decent places to stay
- Wilfred M. (1/5): - Location Bad housekeeping
Noisy
Smoking people near my room
- Mntambo (10/5): -
- Itebogeng (10/5): Great stay. Definitely going back. - The place was clean and quiet. It was secured and the staff was friendly. Definitely going back. I can’t wait until their bar sells alcoholic drinks. Their bar didn’t sell alcohol. The location was a bit off but it’s located in an area that’s accessible to Uber Eats and Mr. D so you can buy food and alcohol online so that makes up for it.
- Charity (7/5): -
- Busisiwe (10/5): - The place is very clean and Mr Dollar the manager 👌🏾 😎 🙌 Thank you so much for making our stay amazing.
Then Karabo, the security guy, is the reason why we always go to the place. It would be nice if they can change their beds and get something comfortable
- Bonginkosi (8/5): - Security guard service. That guy is king The windows must be opened as it was stuffy. Cover the base of the bed.
- millicent (8/5): - Karabo was the best person he was friendly showed us our room made sure we where safe overall it was a nice place. In the room the was a kettle and cups but no coffee next time try a bar fridge and glasses but i had nice stay thank you
- Mapoto (7/5): - They are helpful,I lost my key but they make sure that they help me to open the door
- Masetshaba (9/5): - The place was beautiful The kitchen was not clean and the wi-fi was not working at all
- Nolwazi (3/5): Na - Staff very helpful There was no mini bathing stuff or any mini tea stuff provided
- kganane (1/5): -
- Thobile (10/5): -
- Mdluli (1/5): Our staff was horrible, we didn’t sleep at all due to the noise and uncomfortable beds. - Nothing, will never book again. Noisy, beds uncomfortable and there was no hot water. The staff was not helpful, they lied to us that we’ll have hot water after 30min.
- Sedric (7/5): My stay was just ok. - The property is beautiful Too much noise and electricity went off for the great part of the night till morning.
- Bukeka (8/5): Very good -
- Zephania (9/5): Superb - Staff very friendly, rooms clean. Nothing
- Labans (5/5): Passable -
- Rudstaa (5/5): Passable -
- Xinti (2/5): Very poor - Room was clean and the stuff were welcoming They had no soaps, their wifi was not working 🙄as for the location it's a no from me. There was too much noise
- Foulo (7/5): Good -
- Well (9/5): Superb - Good Good
- Asanda (6/5): Pleasant - I did not have time to visit the kitchen area the noise made by the club next door
- Samukelisiwe (9/5): Great stay, shout out to Thandeka - The staff Could be cleaner
- Phindile (6/5): Pleasant -
- Khanyisile (7/5): Fair - The place was clean the manager friendly The TV and WiFi not working ,there was one towel in the room for 2 people, there was a kettle but no tea ingredients
- Molelekwa (4/5): Disappointing -
- Ramasela (5/5): Passable - There was no cooking facilities
- Thembelihle (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sisanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tswelopele (1/5): The noise from downstairs, the parking in front of the club, the place is for specific clients - The room was clean. No safe parking for the guests, we were to park our car in front of the tarven/club and the place is noisy because of the club. From the gate entrance, facing the club, you just lose hope the place is dirty, but the rooms are clean, for the safety of our car we decided not to sleep, we went out to get a safer place.
- Vongani (1/5): Bad -
- Mpho (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about it That I only spent one night there
- Montoedi (10/5): Exceptional - The property is exceptionally clean, great layout the only problem was the water coming out of the shower flooding the whole room, they should rather install doors for the shower in the bathroom
- Earl (2/5): Perhaps not. - The bar area was nice for socialising. Dirty sheets, cockroaches in the room. No shower mat. No t.v. Loud at times.
- Khumo (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything
- Zamashasha (10/5): Exceptional - Extra utilities were provided with no additional cost, microwave and a fridge was brought up at request. Staff ensured that everything is running before leaving. The rooms are clean, minimalistic and beautiful and the environment is calming. Very quiet with privacy, also a walking distance from lakeside mall, taxi ranks and areas. Will definitely visit again.
- Philasande (10/5): its was great indeed except tht we stay in dark because of liadshedding - cleaniness and comfortability poor internet connection
no backup for loadshedding
- Masoi (8/5): Very good - The location is near Lakeside Mall, and the room featured both a shower and an ensuite bathroom, along with a TV that offered Netflix. I stayed there for the JC Marathon, and it was conveniently close to the race start. The air conditioning in my room wasn't working, but overall, my stay was peaceful.
- Adrian (4/5): Okay - No mini fridge
No microwave
- Teressa (7/5): I enjoyed the air-conditioned since it was cold. - I did not not order any food from them, but the location is a good area. Bathroom window couldn't be closed and did not have safe butler. Only one bath towel. No fridge at all in my room. Tea without milk had to go and buy
One by myself.
- Gcobisa (1/5): Not very hygenic - Atleast the water was hot It was noisy, at all hours. Not clean (there were condom rappers on both bedside tables), seems like the rent per hour sort of place. Even 'security guard' was drunk, kept knocking on a door close by and talking loudly. Limited parking, cars have to be parked behind each other. People need to be called to move cars. It was a mess.
- Tumisang (1/5): Very bad;I wouldn't recommend to anyone - Well the place is not far from where I was going and town The rooms are very small;they don't have refrigerators;no enough space for parking they keep coming to knock on ur door to come and shift for other cars;the make noise the whole night one can't really sleep 😌
- Moleme (3/5): Not good - There was no breakfast provided for I think it was not part of the package but it’s in a good location. They should invest more on the beds, bad quality and very much not in a good condition. The price I paid and what I got didn’t match the expectation and experience, the bed were old and not comfortable, wardrobes falling, not clean at all, the staff doesn’t answer their fones TOO.!!!!
- Tshegofatso (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mofokebg (10/5): Exceptional - Super happy Nothing
- Mabasa (5/5): Passable - The room was nice The prices were too much fro a night
- Kgothatso (7/5): Good -
- Mpho (10/5): 100% -
- Mlungisi (7/5): Good - The Ease When It Comes To Checking In The Was No Hot Water On The Bathroom Shower
- Sthembiso (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tshenolo (3/5): I will not use the facility again - It was close to the marathon starting point, that was the only seller for me The place was noisy and the beds were sunken and not comfortable. The photos on booking platform did not show the outside of the place.
- Sewawa (8/5): Very good - Bathroom WiFi at the rooms
- Timetric (5/5): Passable -
- Thabang (2/5): Very poor - Nothing The upstairs toilet waste pipe passing inside the room making that flashing noise. I couldn't believe that.
- Innocentia (5/5): We could not rest well as anticipated, but i think they can do better. - The location was fine although its too noising, we didnt have breakfast The room was clean except for the dustbin that had used condoms.
We wanted to make tea, only to find that the kettle was used to make tea and it had been there for a long time and was dirty
The room was facing the street, you could hear people talking downstairs, and toilets flushing
- Molly (1/5): Bad - Nothing Sheets were not clean, no towels, stairs not clean
- Prince (7/5): Enjoyed my stay a lot - No breakfast Please have a small fridge and table
- Dlamini (5/5): Moderate but not impressed - Quietly TV and Aircon not working.
Shower not good, water splash on the floor when taking shower.
- Jack (6/5): Pleasant -
- Hlophe (8/5): A great and affordable place in the city centre - Cosy rooms near CBD. Looks safe. There's a bar inside. Mini fridges are required in the rooms. There's a bit of noise early in the morning potentially from staff, which isn't ideal. There are tea cups and a kettle provided but should also provide basic tea bags.
- Peacock (1/5): Horrible idea - I made a booking, when I got to the location
It's a very busy township area
Doesn't look nor feel safe
I called the number allocated for the guest house a few times and the number wasn't available I was outside for quite a while I hooted outside and got no attention, i didn't fell safe so I had to travel back home
So they actually robbed me I paid for accommodation that wasn't rendered to me
